Calleigh's parents divorced when she was a few years old. Because she was so young, she didn't remember anything about it, nor about her father. As she got older, her mother told her that he had died to spare her from knowing how big of a piece of shit he was. She grew up pretty normal, although life with only one parent was tight at times, she learned many valuable lessons from their humble living. That was why she worked hard at school to get into a good university on a scholarship. Eventually she got accepted into the Exchange Student program and attended class overseas for a year. During that time her mother had found love again and Calleigh couldn't be happier for her. However, due to her busy school schedule, she didn't have much time to call back home. She did know that they were planning on getting married over the summer, and he had a son. She thought it would be nice to have a sibling, so she refused to be concerned for anything. Soon Calleigh returned home for the summer, to take a semester off from college so she could come to her mother's wedding.
