Nation Building Re: Rebirth of Tyrium

SecondBreaking

The Dragon Reborn
Alright this character sheet is very complicated, so I want to split it up in order to explain it to you. Please, take your time in creating these so that you can accurately depict your nations. Reserve your nation locations in advance, so that there are no territorial disputes before the RP starts.

First Tab:

1. Write the name of your nation on the top header, and above the picture of the location.

2. First, choose your location from the map below. Outline your kingdom in the color that you think will best resemble it, and make sure that the color is not being used by any other player.

snowstorm.jpg

(These are some steps to doing that if you do not know how.)

1. Copy this picture, open paint, paste it

2. Go onto tumblr, make an account if you don't have one, it's free

3. Edit the map however you want, post it on tumblr

4. Copy from tumblr, paste onto your nation sheet

3. After you do all of that, write a description of your nation. It can be brief or long, however you want, but it should include how the terrain looks, and where the cities are usually situated in the nation. Maybe include an overall description of the people living in your nation.

  • Nation Name: Thelgrim

    Location:

    tumblr_nxoijmWb1m1uci2tfo1_540.png

Description: The outskirts of Thelgrim are bordered by a massive ravine that spans almost the entire continent, containing the denizens of Thelgrim, and keeping others outside. Rough, mountainous regions that grow more and more treacherous the closer you get to the center of Thelgrim. This region is home to a strong and determined people who have lost so much that the only thing they know how to do now is to keep moving forward, placing one foot in front of the other. Rich mineral deposits have been discovered deep in Red Mountain, and have been used to craft items of unparalleled strength and beauty. The sky is covered with a permanent cloud of ash that prevents the cultivation of any agriculture, and the crags are home to many dangerous denizens.

    Capitol: Morgoth

    Pros/Cons:

+ Heavily defended, high walls, few entrances

+ Easy to escape from, paths lead further into mountain

    + Extensive underground forge network

    - Poor access to trade

    - Difficult to get to

    - Catacombs may lead to security risk

    Capitol: Caergoth

    Pros/Cons:

    +
Scenic, beautiful, abundant with natural resources

+ Strong points periodically placed in valley for good defense

  • Nation Name Kygar

    Location:

    <p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/Kygar.jpg.a805374746ceb52a35b8b14d9bdec112.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="86461" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/Kygar.jpg.a805374746ceb52a35b8b14d9bdec112.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Description: Kygar is a harsh environment that consists of blistering deserts, frigid mountains, and rocky coastlines. This unforgiving land doesn't have much to offer in the ways of food or water, and the only agricultural villages in the country are next to the two rivers. The people living in Kygar are fierce warriors and start training at an early age. The land itself is a formidable defense, and if anyone were to cross the invisible borders, the warriors of Kygar would know.

Kygarian's are split into different groups called clans. Each clan specializes in something different, one might be good at smithing while another might be elite at spear fighting. The harshness of the desert keeps these clans united, along with the help of the council but, that doesn't prevent blood feuds from forming. These lifelong disagreements can sometimes lead to wars. Even so they will put aside their hatred to achieve their top priority, survival.

    Capitol: Myrina

    Pros/Cons:

    +
    High Ground

    + Controlled trafficking population

+ Equal distance form all the clans

    - No agriculture

    - Prone to siege weapons

    - In the middle of the desert

  • Fortune's Federacy

    10sal2h.jpg

Description: The federation is a collection of many states that span across Tyrium. Each of the states are primarily merchant orientated with the exception of Cegoria. Cegoria is located on the eastern front of the fortune's clustered states. They refer to the cluster of states as 'fortune's fold'. In 'fortune's fold', the land conditions are well. The area has healthy soil for the most part and a large supply of forests to grant easy logging and trade.

The cluster of states known as 'fortune's fold' consists five states on the mainland and one island that takes an hour or two to sail to. The states on the mainland of the fold consist of Cegoria, Neroma, Burr'ox, Setora and Falsoria. The island that is barely apart from the mainland cluster is known as Paradisia.

Neroma is the state located farthest north in the fold. Its borders expand right up to the edge of the bay and press tightly against mountain range. The people who reside there behave like many of the fold. They have a diverse group of lumberjacks and farmers. Their people have a basic understanding of combat due to their constant encounters with wildlife and the mountain dwellers.

Falsoria is the state located south east of Neroma and north of Cegoria. The state has hardly any trees and specialises in architecture, engineering and mining. Its soil is somewhat healthy and allows it to supply itself with enough food to keep its people content and healthy. They don't grow anything out of the ordinary as the majority of their people focus on engineering and mining. Their state has deposits of iron, copper and granite. The people there are currently attempting to unlock the powers of 'the black sand'. So far they have failed in every attempt short of using barrels of it for explosive mining.

Setora is a state located west of Cegoria and south of Neroma. The entire area is littered with healthy and immaculate trees. Many of the trees there are enormous in size and so sturdy that no axe can cut them down. These ridiculously strong trees are used as foundations for houses. It's needless to say that the people of Setora are known for their abilities in carpentry and archery. Some of Setora spans up the side of the mountain range which does allow the occasional mountain castle to appear for the wealthy lord or lady.

Burr'ox is the state located farthest south. It is below all other states in Tyrium and is often referred to in joking manner as the 'forgotten lands'. Burr'ox is filled with short, hardy people. These people live inside the large rolling hills that cover their land. They behave differently from the others in the fold. These people are somewhat gifted in the 'magical' arts but prefer to grow food. They are commonly farmers and shepherds, willing to roam the lands for days on end so long as they can keep eating along the way.

The last state in the fold is Paradisia. This state is arguably the most manipulative and influential. They produce hardly anything but still earn a large amount of supplies. Their trades consist of 'religious enlightenment' and courier services. The state is home to the religion spread throughout the fold and has a few soldiers located in every state to prevent heresy from occurring. Their people are in a constant state of bliss and experience very little hardships. The weather there is almost always perfect with very few natural disasters ever hitting it.

The people who aren't located with in the fold are the Natorians, who reside in a group of islands that don't belong to the federation, the Mesitians and the Kyorans. The Kyorans, being closer to Kygarian lands, share many customs with Kygar's merchant guild. Though Kyoras (the islands name) isn't technically a member of Kygar, it relies heavily on their already established infrastructure.

The Mesitians are unlike their southern neighbours of Kyoras. Mesita is an island filled with people who act much more akin to Cegorians. Though they don't have the same skin tone as members of the fold, their ideals are almost identical. Mesita set up its own infrastructure through their resourcefulness and their talents for guerilla warfare. Many of the people there have skin as dark as a shadow cast upon the sand they walk on. They also have a hatred towards their southern neighbours for the years of combat the two encountered.

The only other island is one of peace. The Natorians are calm and controlled people who prefer their words rather than violence. Their renowned for their arts rather than their abilities in combat. The island produces many interesting pieces of merchandise and earns its own steady supply of income that the federation shares somewhat evenly. The island Na'tor is rich in iron and a particular type of silk worm that is farmed and used by tailors for clothing.

Capitol: Cego is the capital city of the federation. It harbours the largest fleet and is located on the eastern end of the 'fortune fold'. Each other state holds its own capital city where they discuss matters and subjects involving trade with a representative of Cego.

    Pros/Cons:

+ Cego is located close to the sea, keeping it safe from inland attacks.

+ The civil engineering of Cego is exceptional, keeping it smelling fresh and calm.

+ The silver roofed buildings of Cego's spires act as a beckon during day and night for sailors and travellers.

    - The silver roofed buildings can direct incoming enemies to critical locations.

    - The sewers of Cego are large enough for one or two men to crawl through without too much trouble.

    - Cego has little reaction time to naval attacks and is forced to rely purely on their navy for defence.
