Raxil grew up the only son of two non-wizards. They lived in a modest house, and for the most part, had a happy life, neither rich nor poor.
Raxil was always the adventurous sort, and found himself coming home with many a scratch and bruise. Originally, he thought he was without magic, like his parents, but began teaching himself the basics of Ice-Maker magic over a couple years. At the age of ten, Raxil unknowingly became the host of a weakened Ice Dragon named Froskon. Raxil began to share in the pain of Froskon, and very quickly fell very ill. Bedridden for days, weeks, months, Raxil and his parents began to fear the worst. Eventually, a voice rang clearly in the young Raxil's head, as Froskon finally revealed himself to the boy, noticing his interest in ice-maker magic.
The dragon, now strong enough to call upon his powers, offered Raxil training in the dragon-slayer arts.
Raxil decided to leave home, and train to be a powerful wizard under the teachings of Froskon. The two trained for the next four years, Froskon hosting inside of Raxil and instructing him, only occasionally able to separate himself long enough to take physical form. The two became very close, happily roaming about Fiore, Raxil always fawning over the thought of one day being a strong wizarding guild member.
One day, however, Froskon grew silent, leaving Raxil alone. Having spent the last four years simply wandering the continent, the young dragonslayer was suddenly left with seemingly nobody and nothing in the world. He wandered on his own for a little bit longer, in the hopes of Froskon's return, though it never came. In this time, Raxil found a new friend and partner in Fang, a stubborn and aloof Exceed. It was Fang who convinced him to seek out a guild to join. From there, Raxil set off to prove himself a strong warrior, and even caught the eye of some of the Sabertooth higher-ups. He was inducted into the guild, and quickly worked his way up to the status of A-Class wizard, though he shows little interest in becoming S-Class for the time being.
He keeps his dragon-slayer magic a secret, unless he absolutely needs to call upon it.
Personality:
Raxil is a genuinely caring guy at heart. He appears to be cocky and ambitious, but further contact with him shows that he is incredibly shy, and prefers solitude when he can get it.
Still, he is fiercely loyal, and will protect his guildmates or those who need it to his last breath. He is generally friendly towards everyone.
