I have a bachelor's degree in Education, with a focus on English.  I have over a decade of combined experience teaching middle school Language Arts.  I am skilled at encouraging and motivating students and explaining situations clearly from different points of view.  I've also raised three children, with the youngest about to enter college.  Together, these experiences have increased my creativity solving problems and ability to keep a level head.  


In college I was part of the water polo team and continue to have a passion for swimming.  I coach my school's swim team and provide lessons at our local pool.  I have had lifeguard training, though only my swim coach certification is up to date.
