Carla DelBianco had an issue.

So, her sister was getting married. That wasn't bad. In fact, she was happy for Lucy. Her husband-to-be was a nice guy, they were having a small wedding, they were pretty stoked about it. That was good. But then? Then Lucy had invited her, and told her she had a plus-1 option. That wasn't an option that Carla planned to use, honestly, but for some reason- for some damn reason -when her sister asked if she had a date, she had said yes. Foolishly. She didn't have a date. She wasn't even close to having a date. She couldn't tell Lucy that, though, which meant she had to do what any sensible person would do in this situation.

Post an ad on craigslist.

She had written something quick out, offering pay, and had hit post before she could really think about taking it back. Which, she did, afterwards, but it was much too late then. All she could do was wait for, possibly, a reply.

Ver Haxon also had a problem

Her roommate was drinking her out of house and home, and he seemed very intent on not getting a job. With her... occupation she couldn't exactly get a regular job. But she needed money, before her roommate left her broke. But how the hell do you make money, quickly.

Online, that's how. Folk'll pay you to do anything these days, god bless technology. Hopefully someone had placed an ad that'd suit her skills.

Hmm let's see. No way in hell she was mowing lawns... guess there's.... oh there we go! Act as a date to a wedding. That was exactly the kind of thing she could do.

She whipped up a quick and honestly rather shoddy response, but hey she needed the money. Now, she just had to wait.

Carla couldn't believe she genuinely got someone to reply in the first place. Sure, they could possibly be a serial killer or something, but they replied. It was such a dumb ad, after she had looked over it again, but it'd worked. She wasn't sure who the person was, not really, they only posted something quickly in reply, but she would take what she could get. She was desperate, and so long as they were a person, that was truly enough for her. So, she replied with a meet-up, at a pizza place, just to discuss what would be happening. Nothing special, but also not shady. There would be other people around. It was the perfect place.

When the time arrived, she headed out to the meeting place that had been agreed upon, bringing her laptop bag with her, just in case. When she pushed open the parlor door, she scanned the area. Were they even here yet? Probably not. She felt as if she had come a little early.

Ver wandered into the pizza place, late as usual. Had a little hold up with a cop, he seemed to take offence with her carrying a sword around. What the fuck does he know.

She hoped this would go well, maybe she should've worn the suit. Her roommate insisted she should have worn it but Ver hated that damn suit. Hated wearing it even more. Anyway, she'd cleaned herself up at least. Looked like she'd only been dragged through a couple bushes. God this was going to go down terribly wasn't it.

After looking around the building, she realised she had no clue who she was even looking for. She took her phone out, sending a quick question to them, hoping to get... some idea where they were.
