Crumbli
the Tea Time Tyrant
- Name: Lilya Carmenor
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Species/Race: Summer Fae
Kingdom of Origin: Elysium, the kingdom of light.
Occupation: Princess of Elysium and heir to the throne.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral. - Appearance: Lilya has a very angular face which is common of the summer fae. Her hair is often compared to her mother’s and for good reason as they are similar in both length and colour. Her large lips, pale blue eyes and small frame form a stereotypical lady-like appearance which is well suited to her personality. Her most common expression is one of neutrality and rarely if ever does she smile beyond the request of her parents.
Personality:
Lilya’s a born royal and despite her parents best efforts, she finds little joy out of life. She knows the mantle of responsibility that her parents share and finds herself focusing more on her duties in their passing as opposed to the happiness they bring while they live.
She has been referred to as calm, collected and mature despite her youth. With what little free time she has, she spends it walking the palace halls and tending to a small hanging garden upon the balcony of her chambers.
History/Bio:
Born during the war to Felric and Arissa, Lilya was showered in love and praise as the royal couple had finally had an heir. Most of the love she received however was not from her parents. They were often too far away at war to provide her with constant support. In fact, there were times when she’d begin crying when her father went to hold her as she saw him as more of a stranger than any of the staff in the palace. It wasn’t all bad though. Her mother provided her with what little time and affection she could when at the palace. But as soon as she began to love her parents the way a child should, they’d be ripped from her and forced into war.
Nannies, tutors and priests were her parental support as she matured. She was taught to keep her feelings to herself, to remain proper at all costs, and that the people needed a princess who was strong to look up to while her parents were away. Granted, she was eight, but the people at home saw her as being almost ethereal in nature due to her daintiness and forced maturity.
By the time her parents had been able to return home the damage was already done. She was solemn, conserved, and believed that the kingdom was the highest power below Lumin himself. She was fourteen and they tried to make her happy, the more convicted she was in the importance of the kingdom above herself.
Her parents weren’t ignorant to their daughter’s stoic behaviour and late at night they’d check on her in her chambers. During her late teen years she rarely slept and spent most nights on her balcony tending to small hanging pots or staring out at the city. Some nights the door would be locked and muffled sobbing would escape the cracks beneath the door, though in the morning she’d say nothing of it and deny it whenever accused.
She was tutored in the manipulation of light with intense lessons from her mother and private tutors. While she’s still studying the other varients of light alteration, most magic users consider her to have mastered the ability to render objects and people invisible. Her knowledge of Elysian history was late to be started but appears to be something she’s shown extensive interest in, while her desire to learn about other cultures is incredibly lacking. - Equipment:
- Armour: She wears formal wear at all times. Flowing gowns of silk, lace and cotton make up the majority of her wardrobe as well as a number of corsets to keep her figure fixed. She wears a number of accessories with more being added depending on the importance of the event. On a normal day she will wear a silver clasp over her left ear.
- Weaponry: Lilya is incapable of using a sword, axe, or any other form of weapon. She has received a grand total of two lessons with a sword and on the second one her tutor hit her with the sparring sword so hard it left a bruise the width of her hand and length of the rod on her thigh. After that she had no desire to lift a weapon and instead decided that knowledge was a far more valuable weapon.
- (Trained) Knowledgeable - Having been tutored her whole life, she knows many things on many topics. From Elysian history to the commercial effects of the vassalisation of Oshus, she knows enough to help her get by and understand the advice of her advisers, be it good or bad.
- (Trained) Courtly grace - Her perfect posture, proper behaviour and calmness in the face of stressful situations makes her a perfect figure in court. She has the ability to sway a chamber in a few carefully chosen words and almost always stands by her convictions which includes overseeing all punishments given.
- (Trained) Advanced Luminian - Not yet fluent but fairly well trained, Lilya has a deep understanding of Luminian and can articulate her opinions in the language with minor difficulties.
- (Trained) Inspiring presence - Because of her appearance, her behaviour, and her position of authority being seen as more home bound than her parents, her presence is inspiring not to the army but to the people. If ever she required it she knows in her heart that she can call upon the people of Elysium for their support, as she often states in her speeches how much she values everyone’s contributions to keeping the father’s (Lumin’s) kingdom strong and orderly.
- (Magic) Greater illusion - One of the only spells she’s studied in any real detail, Lilya can bend light and turn herself invisible. It is believed that can she turn a large number of things invisible with no specific artefact or entity being deemed as a set boundary.
- (Magic) Colour blur - The other spell she knows well enough to count on, colour blur bends the light around her sporadically creating a shimmering effect and actively throwing out any depth perception an attacker might have.
- (Magic) Legion of light - Summoning faux knights, these glowing figures deal no harm to their foes but do behave as any knight would. Capable of summoning up to one hundred at any given time, these knights will often use giant shields made of the same material and act defensively to cloak their inability to harm behind an illusion of righteousness.
- (Magic) Halo of the observer - A quite literal halo of blazing light befalls the caster. This halo stabs into the dark and reveals those using lesser magics designed to conceal and avoid detection. In addition this halo adds to the ethereal appearance of the princess.
- (Magic) Cleansing light - Healing the sick and injured is something not everyone can do. Lilya can cleanse infected wounds, stop intense bleeding and mend torn organs with her touch and focus. While the spell can't prevent death, it can prevent its causes.
- (Magic) Lumin's shield - A barrier to protect the peace. Learned from an ancient tome and practised as often as she can, the barrier repels both physical and magical assaults alike. Like all things the barrier does have a limit, but that limit is yet to be reached by the assaults of the palace guards during training.
- (Magic) Imbued divinity - An enchantment spell that gives her magical power to a not-so-magical weapon. Imbuing it with sacred light it is whispered among her personal guards that these weapons are capable of killing royals themselves.
- (Natural) Light magic affinity - As with all summer fae, Lilya has a natural affinity towards light magic. Combined with her royal blood all of her light spells are deemed powerful beyond comprehension and are second only to her mother’s.
