strengths ... extremely diligent and hard working. he is the breathing definition of 'never give up.' especially with cheer, he is constantly pushing himself to improve. positive and upbeat. although the same can't be said for many of his teammates, he genuinely cares about boosting school spirit and improving people's moods. he's seen as the class clown in many of his classes because of his dedication to get a laugh out of people.and to get on the teacher's nerves. he hates them. advocating and passionate. he stands up for what he believes in regardless of the trouble it often gets him in. he's very opinionated and will not hesitate to have himself heard -- no matter what it takes.
weaknesses ... easily overwhelmed. if he isn't having fun or good at something, there's a good chance is stresses him out. he has little patience for trying to sit down and learn something new or adjusting to change so, instead, he overwhelms himself with frustration. aggressive and easily offended. his willingness to stick up for what he believes in is ultimately his downfall. often times, he resorts to violence, getting him in trouble more times than he cares to admit. insecure. although he's generally seen as cocky and full of himself, it's a facade he uses to fit in and make friends the only way he knows how. he often doubts himself, his place, and more.

appearance ... it isn't difficult to spot presley in a crowded room. he takes pride in his appearance. he dresses up often and spends so much time at the mall some of the workers actually recognize him. he's relatively thin compared to most of his male teammates, who are fat more muscular to be able to support lifting girls into the air. his body is more suited to tumbling, thin but slightly muscular on his arms and legs. he stands above an average height, just over five feet eleven inches. his eyes and hair are both brown, a feature he finds rather boring but has come to terms with. one of his favorite features is his ability to keep a tan year round. god bless him.

kristen loughty... his relationship with his mother is... difficult, to say the least. for the most part, he respects his mother, but they have never been particularly close. she was cold and distant growing up, providing him with the bare necessities and rarely more. she never mistreated him but she never nourished him either. most of his issues with her lie more with the string of men she has brought to their modest home over the years, many of which have been far from kind to both of them.
history ... growing up had never been particularly easy for presley loughty, and certainly isn't something he's open about to this day. he grew up without a father, something that never bothered him unless you counted the ache in his gut and this voice in his head convincing him it was his fault. for most of his life, it was just him and his mother. she was an absent figure in his life. she worked most of the time, struggling to keep food in their mouths and a roof over her head. while she loved him the best she could, work consumed. he grew up more or less alone.
by the time he was in elementary school, presley was desperate for her attention. he neglected his studies. he picked fights with other kids, intentionally getting himself sent to the principal's office so he might get a call home. while it all started as a cry for attention, when it became clear to him that he was nothing but a mouth to feed to his mother, he continued for fun and games alone. his attitude and neglected schoolwork progressed to the point where he was held back a year in middle school, which acted as something of a wake-up call for him.
his second time going through seventh grade was when he discovered cheerleading-- a sport that he genuinely believes changed his life. his best friend tiffany bozza had convinced him to try-out with him just so she had a friend with her. he agreed and tried out, not actually thinking he would make the team. when he realized he had, at first, he was annoyed. he tried to quit but they wouldn't allow him to. but it really only took one practice for him to realize he absolutely adored the sport. all at once, he found something he was passionate about. he met an amazing group of people who truly made him feel at ease. like, for once in his life, he actually belonged.
although he continued to struggle through school and with his mother for years after he first tried out for the team, cheerleading was always there for him. he signed up for a gym and slowly learned to tumble and preform stunts until he was one of the bests of the team. he joined a competition team outside of his school and was able to travel much of the country for competitions. by the time he was in high school, he received a scholarship from the university of colorado to cheer for the colorado lions. he accepted in a heartbeat. he's been cheering for them for one year now.

one ... presley was outed against his will by his classmate derek anderson. he had taken a picture of him and his boyfriend at the time kissing after one of his practices and posted it online. it spread like a wildfire. in a small town high school, most hadn't been too accepting of it. many of his friends ditched him. his boyfriend broke up with him saying the negativity was too much for him. his plan was to somewhat... go back into the closet when he went to college. but since, he has come to terms with his sexuality and is open about it regardless of what people think. he just hopes college is more open-minded than college.
two ... he an african grey parrot named chili in the apartment he shares with his roommate who is his pride and joy. he absolutely adores her and picks her up the moment he gets home from school. he spends hours teaching her new phrases and words. he once successfully sneaked her into the mess hall by carrying her in a purse. he figured a man holding a bedazzled pink purse would distract everyone from the fact there was a parrot inside.

weaknesses ... easily overwhelmed. if he isn't having fun or good at something, there's a good chance is stresses him out. he has little patience for trying to sit down and learn something new or adjusting to change so, instead, he overwhelms himself with frustration. aggressive and easily offended. his willingness to stick up for what he believes in is ultimately his downfall. often times, he resorts to violence, getting him in trouble more times than he cares to admit. insecure. although he's generally seen as cocky and full of himself, it's a facade he uses to fit in and make friends the only way he knows how. he often doubts himself, his place, and more.

appearance ... it isn't difficult to spot presley in a crowded room. he takes pride in his appearance. he dresses up often and spends so much time at the mall some of the workers actually recognize him. he's relatively thin compared to most of his male teammates, who are fat more muscular to be able to support lifting girls into the air. his body is more suited to tumbling, thin but slightly muscular on his arms and legs. he stands above an average height, just over five feet eleven inches. his eyes and hair are both brown, a feature he finds rather boring but has come to terms with. one of his favorite features is his ability to keep a tan year round. god bless him.

kristen loughty... his relationship with his mother is... difficult, to say the least. for the most part, he respects his mother, but they have never been particularly close. she was cold and distant growing up, providing him with the bare necessities and rarely more. she never mistreated him but she never nourished him either. most of his issues with her lie more with the string of men she has brought to their modest home over the years, many of which have been far from kind to both of them.
history ... growing up had never been particularly easy for presley loughty, and certainly isn't something he's open about to this day. he grew up without a father, something that never bothered him unless you counted the ache in his gut and this voice in his head convincing him it was his fault. for most of his life, it was just him and his mother. she was an absent figure in his life. she worked most of the time, struggling to keep food in their mouths and a roof over her head. while she loved him the best she could, work consumed. he grew up more or less alone.
by the time he was in elementary school, presley was desperate for her attention. he neglected his studies. he picked fights with other kids, intentionally getting himself sent to the principal's office so he might get a call home. while it all started as a cry for attention, when it became clear to him that he was nothing but a mouth to feed to his mother, he continued for fun and games alone. his attitude and neglected schoolwork progressed to the point where he was held back a year in middle school, which acted as something of a wake-up call for him.
his second time going through seventh grade was when he discovered cheerleading-- a sport that he genuinely believes changed his life. his best friend tiffany bozza had convinced him to try-out with him just so she had a friend with her. he agreed and tried out, not actually thinking he would make the team. when he realized he had, at first, he was annoyed. he tried to quit but they wouldn't allow him to. but it really only took one practice for him to realize he absolutely adored the sport. all at once, he found something he was passionate about. he met an amazing group of people who truly made him feel at ease. like, for once in his life, he actually belonged.
although he continued to struggle through school and with his mother for years after he first tried out for the team, cheerleading was always there for him. he signed up for a gym and slowly learned to tumble and preform stunts until he was one of the bests of the team. he joined a competition team outside of his school and was able to travel much of the country for competitions. by the time he was in high school, he received a scholarship from the university of colorado to cheer for the colorado lions. he accepted in a heartbeat. he's been cheering for them for one year now.

one ... presley was outed against his will by his classmate derek anderson. he had taken a picture of him and his boyfriend at the time kissing after one of his practices and posted it online. it spread like a wildfire. in a small town high school, most hadn't been too accepting of it. many of his friends ditched him. his boyfriend broke up with him saying the negativity was too much for him. his plan was to somewhat... go back into the closet when he went to college. but since, he has come to terms with his sexuality and is open about it regardless of what people think. he just hopes college is more open-minded than college.
two ... he an african grey parrot named chili in the apartment he shares with his roommate who is his pride and joy. he absolutely adores her and picks her up the moment he gets home from school. he spends hours teaching her new phrases and words. he once successfully sneaked her into the mess hall by carrying her in a purse. he figured a man holding a bedazzled pink purse would distract everyone from the fact there was a parrot inside.
