Premise:
Just throwing a rough concept out here to see if there’s interest for a power rangers themed roleplay with a kind of space opera flavor ala Star Trek /Star Ocean/ Starship Troopers/Star Wars/ Outlaw Star setting. The roleplay is set in a kind of intergalactic academy environment . The story will follow a group of wayward graduates (or outlaws) who are about to embark as Rangers in the grand fleet on a newly designated vessel for the first time. Characters can be apart of a ragtag crew and go on intergalactic adventures very much like Star Trek or One Piece.
Rangers:
Reds are usually Captains or Commanders of the crew. They are characterized as high-spirited, strong and passionate.
Weapon: Sword and Blaster
Open
Blues are usually second-in-commands. They’re associated with science and technology.
Weapon: Spear
Open
Pink rangers commonly deal with medicine and are physicians of sort.
Weapon: Bow

Yellows are typically stealth specialists and are hand-to-hand experts.

Black Rangers are associated with warfare, gunnery and tactical operations. Sometimes serious, sometimes carefree, black rangers typically are the powerhouse of a group.

Additionally, Green Rangers are typically solitary “Swiss army knives” undertaking the most vital tasking but can fill any of the above mentioned roles as required.

What is PSI?
Psychic Force, Energy, Haki, Chi, Chakra, Special Attack, so on and so forth.
In this particular setting, the magic system that governs all the neat special abilities a character can perform in real time, is called Psionics or PSI for short. The power level of a given PSI move is designated by a Greek letter; in ascending order of power, the tiers are Alpha (α), Beta (β), Gamma (γ), Pi (π) or Sigma (Σ), and Omega (Ω).

- Assist PSI — Used for creating shields, boosting or assisting the abilitiess of an ally or foe, or inflicting a status ailment.
- Offensive PSI — Used for dealing significant, elemental, or even mortal damage to the target.
- Recovery PSI — Used to recover from injuries and wounds, as well as curing various status ailments.
- Negative PSI — PSI used to negate the status and abilities of other types. Uncommon.
- Advanced PSI — PSI requiring mastery of one or more of the above types can be upgraded into several archetypes. They are known as PSI of the Sage (Offensive and Recovery). PSI of the Warrior(Offensive and Assist) PSI of the Hero (Assist and Recovery). PSI of the King. (Special. Reserved for only the most notable PSI users)
