Politicians = Fanboys

Hamster Buddha, come to enlighten you all once more...

So I came upon this thought the other day, where most of my brilliant ideas come from... in the shower. That's right, hammy here has a bit of the Archimedes him. Any who, I was thinking back to watching an episode of Crossfire that had Jon Stewart on it. He was making a joke of the whole deal, and the basic gist is that he was saying that they should just get along. That's when it occurred to me just how similar fanboys are to politicians.

Let's begin by looking at a couple of definitions. If you want the "formal" definition, we need look no further than Webster's who classifies fanboys as: "a boy who is an enthusiastic devotee (as of comics or movies)". To me though, that definition doesn't quite the nail on the head. So, we turn to urban dictionary which I believe has better luck of hitting the nail on the head:

Lacking in social graces... hmm... Can you think of any instance with a politician putting their foot in their mouths?

By the way, I love how Pelosi's kid encapsulated why we shouldn't of attacked Syria. This is also the same woman who was opposed to going into Iraq and how it was a "bad war", even though ten times as many people were killed in a chemical attack in Iraq than in Syria. Thank goodness for those peaceful Russians who came in and offered a peaceful compromise, right?

In any event, it goes further than politicians saying stupid things because they think their side is always right. We all know the lies and hypocrisies that are distorted by politicians everyday, that part isn't knew. But I want to think about any time you've seen a fanboy argument. Whether it's xbox vs playstation, pc vs mac, coke vs pepsi if that's your thing, it's never about facts... it's about which side can argue the loudest and ignore any facts the longest.

Nobody likes a fanboy, which is why no one likes a politician. Oh! And incase you need more proof, here's the anatomy of a fanboy just for kickers:
