Matias is a tall and well-built young man from years of intense exercise and physical activity. The young man is often seen wearing form-fitting exercise clothing and shoes. He has lighter brown skin and a neon green tattoo of a Tauros on his left arm. He has bright green eyes, short black hair which is partial dyed neon green and left longer he also has a small goatee on his chin.

Personality:
Matias despite his intimidating size and status as a taciturn football captain is quite shy and timid. He can barely go through a casual conversation without stuttering and stammering his way like a clumsy Tauros in a china shop. He suffers from a massive case of social anxiety and always feels like he's wasting people's time by talking and that everybody hates him even though he knows better. But despite his shy nature, Matias loves Pokemon and sports and is very passionate. So while outside of a sports match or a pokemon battle he can barely handle people staring at him or talking to him, but within a pokemon battle or sports match he is like a completely different person. He is much more confident, braver, and competitive in a competitive scene. But sometimes his social anxiety does get to him even in these moments of intensity. Which will cause him to make mistakes and he starts to question himself. He wants to improve as a person and become braver.

Backstory:​

Matias was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, to a pair of Pokemon farmers. His family was hard working and kind and so was he as a child. But even at a young age, he was a shy and timid young boy, but his passion for Pokemon was remarkable even for his pokemon loving parents. Matias was always a healthy young boy and often helped his parents at their farm. He was kind and gentle towards his family's pokemon. As he got older, his shy and timid nature only got worse until he could barely speak to strangers without being a stuttering mess. So his parents made him sign up for his local school's football team. He proved himself to be excellent at the sport. To the point, by the tail end of high school, he was assigned the school's team captain spot despite his shyness. But his skill and passion for the sport led him to the position.

But Matias had a dream. A very childish dream people would say but one he wanted to do anyway even if he has to the other side of the country to do it. Matias signed up for a trainer's license. But a few short weeks after sending out his application to Professor Sherwood all the way in New York he got a reply back from them confirming his approval which Matias was very proud of to the point of tears. So now Matias is on his way to becoming a Pokemon trainer he just needs to go the other side of the country and get his starter. Despite his parent's misgivings about him going to New York all by himself, he is still firm on going by himself and proving himself to everybody, especially himself.

Backstory: born in west philladelphia raised by his american father and french mother who where both former strong pokemon trainers he was raised strictly until he finally got his license, now all that's left is choosing his starter pokemon.

Delta McElven stands at 5ft 10in with a toned and slim body. This comes from years of lifting heavy objects, keeping herself in shape so she has enough energy to take care of her family. Not to say that she has a perfect body by any stretch of the imagination, but Delta's as fit as a Rapidash. Her eyes are as green as emeralds with her hair being as pink as ginger (like the one you can buy at the store in a jar). When her hair is down (which is rare), it reaches about her mid back. She's got a very light dusting of freckles all over her body from the countless hours of working outside with the pokemon on the small farm her family owns also giving her a slight tan.​

For her clothes, Delta's usually in leggings, jeans, or shorts paired with a tank top or t shirt. Very casual. She always has her earrings as well with her ears being pierced four times on each ear. Delta also always has an string anklet she was given by her little sister. Delta also has a secret bottom lip tattoo she got on a dare and one down her spine of a simple line meeting in the middle of a circle. Sounds weird, but it's pretty cute.

Personality:
Very happy-go-lucky, positive, can find the good in any situation, happy, bubbly. Delta claims that she has to be this way because if she looked at life with all the bad things that she's gone through, she'd be depressed all the time. Wherever Delta goes, it's easy for her to make friends and with her being a curious girl, she also loves to learn about new places, people, pokemon, and how things function together as a whole. She can give off the "mom" of the group vibe, but can you blame her? She's always there for the people she cares about no matter what even if she's going through something first. She's also the type of person who doesn't show how she truly feels around others because she always puts others before herself no matter the situation.​

Backstory:
Delta's life has been pretty average up to this point. The only thing odd about the baby is her pink hair. She was adopted into her family at the age of four. As the eldest of her family's children she's had to take care of her siblings because her father is a pilot and her mother is a traveling nurse. There's about seven of them in total with the youngest being two years old and one on the way and with her parent's busy lives, Delta's in charge and has been ever since her sixteen year old sister Dalia was born.​

Delta didn't have much of a childhood since she spent it taking care of her siblings. While other kids were hanging out at the movies or having sleepovers, she was taking care of a a set of twin two year olds. Delta grew up around chaos and havoc and learning to take responsibility at a young age that when she realized what all she missed out on, she grew angry and rebelled. When she rebelled, it led to one of her siblings getting hurt badly and Delta feeling extremely guilty. Because of this, Delta shut herself off from the outside world. With her eighteenth birthday and her want for traveling and pokemon, her parents told her that it was time for her to go to New York and receive what most kids her age already had. Now, she's off to New York filled with excitement and wonder since she's never been out of Tennessee.

Cross is a pretty average looking young woman, lightly tanned skin, a smattering of freckles and curly brown hair that's normally pulled back. Only thing not average about her is her eyes, which are a surprising pale green, and her muscular build.
She is usually seen wearing a green blouse with a yellow floral pattern on it. Slate blue cargo pants with all the pockets she could ever want, and some green sneakers. She has a weird feather attached to a leather cord around her neck that she keeps tucked into her shirt. Along with that is her blue striped arm socks that cover up a good portion of her lower arms. Also her floral print backpack.

Personality:
A very curious and stand-offish young woman, Cross is a little socially anxious, much like her adopted father. People are definitely not her specialty, at all. Sure, she can keep up appearances, but once the actual interaction is over, when always doubts herself and overthinks everything that could have been done differently.
However, just get her talking about Pokémon and she will never shut up. She is fascinated by the biology of Pokémon and in general gets really passionate about them. She especially loves myths and legends about certain Pokémon. She could talk for hours about the chemical properties of Haunter spit. You manage to sit through that lecture and you’ll be friends for life. Seriously, this girl is 100% loyal rob her friends, she will never tell your secrets and never betray you. You can trust this one.

Spoiler: Backstory:

Cross was adopted by the Laurel family, a very wealthy family of seven. Two parents and five kids. They lived just outside of Fort Myers in a massive mansion where they held grand galas, ravishing dinners and absolutely jubilant balls.

And Cross hated that life.

While she was indeed living in the lap of luxury, hundreds of servants waiting to attend to her every whim, she never felt so completely and utterly alone. The mom and dad of the house were always off on expensive vacations, and the kids had other activities to do, like... croquet or something? Painting "masterpieces" and taking piano lessons and all sorts of boring stuff. Cross never saw a wink of that. She was there to look pretty, smile for the cameras. She was a doll on display, a show of the family's "charitable contributions to society". She was their charity. They adopted a poor unfortunate lost child, and got some form of good repute from it. She didn't particularly hate this new family, but she knew exactly her purpose in the family. The only one she had a close relationship with was the youngest daughter, Elle. She was a sweetheart, an absolute doll who had been tainted by the prim and proper lifestyle her parents had given the rest of her siblings.

It was all a perfectly mundane life until everything went up in flames. Literally. Local authorities are still arguing over whether the cause was purely accidental or if it was planned arson. Either way, the young Cross, at ten years of age, was the only one who survived the blaze.

She fled the mansion and was found laying in the forest by one of the local researchers checking up on his subjects in the marsh. When found, she was rushed to the hospital, where her burns were treated. She was then fostered by the same Professor who found her, and was soon officially adopted by that same family, the family she was much happier with.

She got her love of Pokémon and their biology from her adopted father, which he was ecstatic about. Finally, someone who shared his passion! He gave Cross a Chikorita for her sixteenth birthday, and though she technically didn’t own the little grass type until she got her official trainer’s license, she adored the Pokémon and the two were inseparable ever since.

After pulling a few strings about a year ago, Cross’s adopted father managed to get her an internship with Professor Sherwood in New York, which is where she currently works. She lives in a somewhat decent apartment in the city with her Bayleef, Absol and Mareep, named Luna, Graceon, and Tesla, respectively.

Personality: Andy is quite the timid soul though somewhat inquisitive. That inquisitiveness has made him very bright in terms of knowledge of nature but has also led to an unhealthy sense of danger because of it. Due to still being young, he is still a little naive, which results in him falling for pranks, such as April Fools pranks. However, when this does happen, he will see it as a learning experience and, in fact occasionally going along with it knowing full well that it’s a prank for the sake of humor. Andy has high morals and won't allow anything to happen to his friends, (once he gets a few) going out of his way to try and settle disputes between other locals, even though it's clearly none of his business, telling the truth whenever he does something wrong, or just being around for people that have had bad days. This does lead to him getting into some sticky situations, however, such as people ignoring Andy during a dispute, at which point he will leave them alone. However all of these aforementioned quirks really only show to people he is used to being around


Andy will start out shy to any person or pokèmon but will gradually warm up to them as time goes on and strive above most things to keep his friends happy, beware he will run away from anyone that lashes out at him. Battle-wise Andy favors being more on the defensive side, envisioning pokémon battles to be more like chess matches rather than matches of power preferring to pick his opponents apart with strategy instead


Backstory: Born into a quaint, moderately sized house in Arizona, Andy was an introvert at the start of his childhood, clinging mainly to his parents, Bob and Martha Richter for protection due to extreme shyness. This led to him being homeschooled and learning basic reading, writing, and math from them. The parents wanted him to make some friends, however, this didn’t go well at all with the boy shying away from others unless it was his parents, the poor boy being seen as an oddball due to this. This shyness continues for most of his life, even up to the present day, the only apparent break in that shyness is when he is chatting to his parents about pokemon. With some coaxing from his parents he applied to the National Pokemon Convention, the love for pokemon outweighing his timidity. Sending his application in to Professor Sherwood in New York, he now waits to see if he is accepted to attend this.

A decently tall lad, reaching an average height of roughly 5'10". Diego has short, charcoal black hair styled in an undercut. His skin is lightly tanned and his almond-shaped eyes are hazel, though he's been known to switch between bright yellow, dark green or light gray contacts to 'spice things up' as he'd put it. He doesn't have any true sense of fashion and usually mismatches his clothes, simply picking out what he likes, not paying much mind to if they go together or not. His most common outfit is a black tank top with a shiny Houndoom on the front, black and white camo cargo pants, black and white striped sneakers and a rainbow baseball cap. A navy blue backpack is always slung over his shoulder and decorated with pins he purchases from every town he visits. His build is lean and athletic. He is of Japanese and Puerto Rican descent.

Personality
A cheerful and lighthearted kind of guy who can always see the light in a dark situation. He does his very best to spread positive vibes to everyone he meets, convinced that trainers and the Pokemon they love, and who love them in return, can make it through anything. He's fairly naive and gullible, this isn't to say he's stupid, but if you told him you saw a 10 foot tall Pikachu and made a grand tale out of it he would probably believe you. Jake has a passion for Pokemon, and will care for his future team with tender care. He can be reckless and impulsive when faced with danger, wanting to do everything he can to protect his Pokemon and anyone else who might be in need.

History
Diego has had a mostly average upbringing, having spent most of his childhood in New York City where his father was a Gym leader and his mother worked from home. Their family fell apart after his father admitted to having an affair and a divorce quickly followed. Needing an escape from her failed marriage, his mother moved herself and Deigo to Sacramento when he was fifteen years old to live with family. Diego continued to keep in touch with his father and visited often during the summer. He has a great interest in Pokémon conservation and preserving wildlife, recently signing up for an internship at a local national park. He's thrilled to be returning to New York for the National Pokemon Convention to receive his first Pokémon. ​

Personality:
Erik is sarcastic, witty, and strange. He'll yawn, making a very strange and loud noise, and when you comment on it, he'll comment on those loud, near-highlighter yellow shoes you're wearing. He loves nature, pokemon, and living among them. Deep down, Erik really just wants someone human to be friends with, but he just doesn't have the skills to make friends. He's a what you get when you combine a semi-social person with a lone wolf's backstory.

Backstory:
Erik was born in Nebraska, moving to Illinois soon after. His mom was a Pokemon Ranger and his father was a doctor, and they all lived near a forest. As Erik grew up, he often ventured into that forest in his free time after school, befriending pokemon and often learning the hard way which plants were poisonous and which weren't. There was one pokemon he befriended, a little zorua with a scar on her leg he nicknamed Illi. They became good friends after he scared off a poochyena attacking Illi. Erik also began learn skills like whittling and playing a flute he carved. However, because of him practically in the forest, he never really made any human friends, nor did he really learn social skills. His parents were fine with it, until they realized he was becoming depressed with no one to talk to, venturing into the forest more and more to the point he started skippping school. He eventually decided to head to get his trainers license so he could own Illi officially, and, who knows? Maybe Erik'll make some friends at the trainers convention too.​
