It's a race to find the new avatar, who hasn't appeared yet. I think I'll add onto that: forces of evil are stirring in the spirit world, so the avatar must be found in order to stop it.

It's been 31 years since Avatar Korra settled the dispute with Kuvira and traveled to the Spirit World with Asami. The world settled pretty well for the first five years of their trip, but that didn't last long. Years passed and no word had been heard from the Avatar and her companion after the visits stopped abruptly 20 years ago. Since then no one knows what happened to her, many searches were made but she was never found, even the spirits that had grown fond of her couldn't find her as they traversed through the Spirit World and Earth. Now in the year 202 AG, 31 years after the Avatar Korra's disappearance the world has once again begun to show signs of corruption. The new Avatar is a earth bender and his name is still unknown, rumors have spread that this avatar has mastered three of the four elements, while other say he is still a novice still trying to learn his/her own element. With new enemies making their appearance and gathering those who hold grudges against the spirits and avatar, it is up to a group of people to join together despite their backgrounds and find the new avatar before the leader of the organization finds him/her and kills him/her. The new Avatar's last sighted destination was said to be the Earth Kingdom but it is not clear, if he is still there, it's a race to see who can get to him first, with multiple adversaries aiming to gain the trust of this new young avatar anything could happen.
