When I mention gender or gender related ideas, I will mention whether I'm talking about sex, or gender. Sex is the biological gender you where born with (unable to change), Gender is somewhat the opposite. Gender is about identity and what you identify as/feel more comfortable referring yourself as.
Google Search: Sex is usually categorized as female or male but there is variation in the biological attributes that comprise sex and how those attributes are expressed. Gender refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, expressions and identities of girls, women, boys, men, and gender diverse people
