Female - 19

Strengths:

  • She's an artist. To be more specific she's a talented sketcher who excels at drawing landscapes and portraits of people.
  • She's a good climber. Ever since she started school she was the queen of the jungle bars. During her Sunday strolls around the city she would sometimes indulge herself by climbing on top of garages or trees in a park.
  • Iron gut. She can eat anything and is less likely to get any serious food poisoning. Also she's very tolerant with what she can eat and not eat.
  • She's pretty graceful with her movements. When stalking, moving in a crouched or laid positions she can move so without making too much noise. She also makes less noise when scavenging or rummaging about in dumpsters.

Weaknesses:

  • She's is prone to illnesses, especially from the common cold and influenza. No really, once she get's a cold or catches a flu she's bedridden for two weeks - sometimes three weeks depending on circumstances.
  • She's thin skinned. If she get's scratched or bitten by something( may it be a bug, dog or crazed person ) she has a higher chance of getting an infection. She's also sensitive to temperatures and hates things too hot or cold.
  • She's got a high metabolism. Need I say more? She consumes a lot of food and drinks way too much water than an average person - staying 'fit' is already a struggle.
  • She's a heavy sleeper. Waking her up is quite the chore because she really sleep like a rock. She could fall 2 meters from the top of her bunk bed and still be soundly asleep.
  • She is a slow reader. She takes her time reading a piece of writing, may it be a novel, chapter book, comic book, manga or news article.
  • She can't swim. Well she can swim to be honest but it's just that she can't keep herself afloat on the water's surface. She sinks like a stone.
  • Here's an extra - When she can't drink caffeine. Why? Energy drinks, soft drinks and coffee make her drowsy and very tired.

Personality:  She's arbitrary , meaning at times she wouldn't care what's right and what's wrong in the stand point of morality, hence she sees things in fifty shades of grey and determines things by the benefits and negatives that she'll receive or lose. She's greedy, selfish and childish. Good traits would include the fact that she thinks of herself as being content, is honest with herself & others, doesn't act on her ill intentions as often and is optimistic.

She has some attributes from one of the four temperaments, sanguine. For example she is a social person or at the very least was one until she had to run away from her first outbreak. She's skeptical whenever she sees another survivor and doesn't trust them immediately after making eye contact with one another. But that is common sense - otherwise she would be a chatty girl. The other sanguine attribute would be how imaginative she is. This young woman had to improvise a lot during the first days of the end times. She made a number of odd utensils and crafted one-time-use ropes when travelling atop roofs.

History: She was the second daughter between Hans Aach and Sonja Aach. Though out her life she's never gotten to see her father that much due to his job as a sailor and had to put up with her mischievous mother. As one can imagine she didn't have an easy upbringing with her mother and the father couldn't do anything about it. The girl got along with her older sister just fine until she married into another family. During her youth she would spend the days mostly away from home - hanging around town, visiting nearby cities, secluding herself in the library, party at pubs and  sleeping over at some friends.

The school life in what U.S citizens would jr. high and high school wasn't easy. In fact it was unruly. Bullies making life miserable both in your ordinary life and in cyber space, verbally abusive teachers, stressful tests, not so fun lectures, empty-feeling breaks, the days of agonizing boredom and puberty. These were days where she experienced her greatest embarrassments, depression and over all stress. But during that time she had also felt love, encouragement and over all a dream. Many things had happened outside school too.... ugh... Her biological father died by pirates, her mother remarried and her sister came back to celebrate her 16th birthday. Big stuff.

She completed school and signed to continue college for the of becoming a free artist. She wanted to learn more techniques and get a better grasp of art from the digital age. But unfortunately for her all the school that she had wanted to go to were full of students and she was put into a queue - she has to wait two years until she can finally become a student. During that time she picked her nose and became a shut in. Living in the basement of an annoying mother and doing whatever she wanted outside the family's house. She eventually got bored, visited her step father who worked in the United States and from there went on an 'aimless' road trip.

Writing Sample: Petra and her friends were sitting in a huge mess hall. Petra had already finished eating two whole pepperoni pizzas in front of her friends, who barely ate more than a kids meal from either BurgerKing or McDonalds and was slowly drinking a blue raspberry smoothie. The young woman looked around on the crowd while she listened to the idle chatter of her friends. She's still not used to the diversity that the United States has to offer. Sure she's used to seeing tanned people from areas near the Black Sea, various North Africans, men from the Balkan nations, Turks and the occasional peoples from Western Africa. But she can't used to the different types of people that live in this city - this is for her pretty intriguing 'eye candy'.  As she her eyes were scanning around the various figures of people she noticed something odd at the entrance of the mess hall.

People were running and hurrying in droves. With a squeak she slowly rose from her chair and continued to stare at the entrance. One child managed to break from the crowd and hurried to the entrance of the mess hall. He wasn't anything special to look at for Petra, the dirty blonde, freckled and green eyed. The boy wore a bright red jacket with navy blue stripes over an orange surfer shirt, jeans and wore low top skater shoes that complemented his shirt. He ran to a table at the central area of the mess hall and practically screamed the distressed word 'zombies'. Her eyes narrowed as she heard those words and looked back at the crowd of people hurrying elsewhere.

"Petra?" one girl giggled as she looked at the brunette.

"You okay?"

"Neh..." She almost hissed. Both girls looked at her funny after she spoke that word.

"Ich. Muss. Los." Petra scooted her chair back under the table and grabbed a small stool from one of the counters.

The crowd of people have long left and dreadful silence hung over the entrance of the mess hall. Petra walked out of the mess hall into the quiet mall. Before leaving the mess hall she looked at the map for the fire escape routes and began to follow the red lines that led to those doors. She went the opposite way of where the crowd was going. After a few minutes of walking she came at a cross section of the mall and sort of lost sight of the marker that was suppose to lead her to one of the fire escapes. Frustrated for a moment she tapped the stool on the tiled floor. Distant groans could be heard. Petra moved slowly forward and glared at the other hallways slow silhouettes moved in the distance and the sound they made made the hairs of her neck stand up. Her eyes became saucers, her mouth hung open and she instinctively backed away.

"Fire escape." She snapped out of her shock and hurried. She arrived to a door and opened it. It was locked. She remembers that there was another door at the other side. She turned around and saw three grotesque looking humanoids slowly making their way to the hall that she was in - she was trapped. Her face felt cold, she could feel the sweat collecting from her forehead and her heart felt like it had fell through her body. A surge of energy exploded inside her chest and she turned back towards the door. She had a minute at most before those things come close to her location and struggled to open the door. She grabbed the stool and began to bash the door for a few seconds. Nothing's working.

She looked at the encroaching corpse looking strangers and  looked around her for a final time. She looked up and saw an open piece of the roof. She quickly grabbed the stool and placed it under the open hole. She jumped once and fell pretty hard on the floor. She got back up, positioned the stool again and jumped for a second time. She grabbed the sides of the hole and desperately pulled herself up. The three monsters were within grabbing distance, reaching their arms out for her legs. She escaped them by a hair's length and was panting at the roof top. She took out her an outdated smart phone, swiped for an app that acted as a flashlight and began to look for a way out of the mall.

Petra found a storage room or small office of some sort and spent the first night sleeping in that room.
