Personality: Shy and timid by nature, Pearl is very polite but tends to stutter whenever she converses with someone, especially when nervous. She tends to be very easily intimidated when confronted with unfamiliar situations existing outside her comfort zone, like having to fight Grimm for instance. She’s not a coward, but let’s just say she wont be the first one to rush head long into a fight or volunteer for a dangerous mission. Pearl is hard on herself because of this, and hates to make people fall behind because of her. She sees herself as weak, but being as shy as she is can’t really do much about it. She quits too easily more often than not and can cry easily. Past this meekness, Pearl possesses a surprisingly strong will, one that emerges when the people she cares about are in danger, or any innocent really. She can be oddly stubborn as well.
Bio: Pearl was found as an infant by older civilian couple in a small town in Vaccuo, abandoned and parentless. The couple decided to take her in, not having any children of their own, and for the most part, lived a somewhat normal childhood. Pearl was often bullied because of her timid nature and discriminated against because she was a faunus. Meek as she was, she never really fought back, so you can imagine she came home with a lot of bruises both internal and external in nature. Her adopted parents tried to instill some courage into their child with little success. Pearl just took what she had, crying whenever she was bullied, taking the punches whenever she was punched. However, things changed slightly when she saw another child being bullied one day. Despite the terror she felt and how little she had in numbers in comparison, she got in the middle of it, trying to stop it. And she succeeded…although they bullied her instead. It got bad enough that she actually got a broken arm from the mostly one sided fight, but still. Things changed slightly. She was still shy and timid, but no longer a coward.
Years passed, and when the time came for Pearl to decide what she wanted to do with her life, be a civilian or a huntress, she surprisingly chose huntress, although her parents were against it. She trained and trained, eventually making her way to Shade academy despite her rather frail body. She wanted to help people and no one would stop her.
Weaponry:
Semblance: Copy Cat: This semblance allows Pearl to to take on the semblances of others through physical contact. This allows her to negate an opponents semblance by countering it with the same semblance, or copy a semblance from an ally and have double the output . The limitations of this ability are that Pearl can only have one ability at any given time, and that she may not be able to control the semblance because she doesn't instinctively know it.
