Note : Astor is the right hand man of Gabriel, the King of Viselia (UK) in the original roleplay. However, because he was so well received, I brought him back here as a side/supporting character.

His skin is freckled and fairly pale as, to much of his dismay, he does not seem to tan very easily in the sun despite all his training. Due to him pretty much being on duty all around the clock, Astor remains in his Commander uniform though rarely wears a full metal suit of armor. His reason being that wearing the armor is like wearing an oven under the son. Besides, he has full confidence in his abilities to fight in order to protect himself and/or King Gabriel.

Often, Astor would try find ways of getting out of doing work or finding ways to escape the confines of the castle and spend the day out in the wild where there were no rules, no responsibilities nor limitations. His mischief only grew upon meeting the then Prince Gabriel who too tended to misbehave at times. He would use whatever means to get free and often resorted to trickery or manipulative methods though Astor always acted with a good motivation. Upon losing his mother and becoming King, Gabriel was burdened with huge responsibilities and pains. So often, the knight would find ways of getting his friend out of the castle to relax a bit, not only for his own entertainment, but for his ward's own sake.
Astor is a gentleman with deep-embedded manners and is a wonderful person to talk to, regardless of who you are. He upholds his code as a knight and is gentle and careful, especially with the ladies, mistresses and maidens that he often meets around the castle. Though he is quite an adorkable sweet heart, the young commander is by no means a flirt. Due to years of focusing on training and protecting his liege, Astor had completely ignored the romantic side of his life so he has absolutely no experience when it comes to women, romantically speaking. He is fairly innocent in that sense and, due to his rather straightforward nature, is unable to hide his feelings, especially when embarrassed or bashful.
Though Astor is quick to act or lash out, especially if something threatens the safety of those he cares deeply about. His hand is fast to draw his sword in a fight, but more often than not, the conflict ends without any blood being shed as misunderstandings are resolved and arguments finished. Despite his rather brash nature, the young man is not violent at heart, often hoping that he would never have to hurt someone who is innocent.
His men know their lord very well when it comes to being serious. In the face of the council and the citizens, Astor tones down his mischief and friendliness slightly and becomes a much more quieter and forever watchful body guard. No one , not even the most daring of his guards, would dare question their Captain who has earned their respect after years of training and working together and is renowned for his swordsmanship and his often good judgement.

As a child, he was pampered and spoiled rotten as the little treasure of the family. There were no expectations put on him and he had no pressure at all as his siblings were expected to carry the family and he was left to be free to do whatever he pleased.
On his family's land, there were great woods that drew the attention and interest of the young wolf. From an early age, Astor began to learn to hunt. He was a natural on horse back and had a talent for archery with deadly precision, rarely going a hunt without coming back with a kill. A few years later,
the young boy would happen upon a wounded baby falcon deeper in the forest. The little creature had somehow wound up there far from the bird of prey's preferred nesting ground. Having a love for creatures, birds especially, Astor took it in and it was named Kaiser. Having taken note of his son's hobbies, his father decided to hire a teacher who would help the young boy train his falcon in falconry, hence combining two of his favorite things. Hunting and his falcon. The pair learnt quickly and soon were out in the wild together. Boy and bird, loyalest of companions.
When he turned 14, Astor began taking more interest in things at home. His brothers had joined in the military to follow their father who held a high position as one of the officials in the royal army. As he was often complimented for his fighting spirit and natural talent, the young boy too began training in the hopes of surpassing his brothers and even his father, just for the pride it would bring him. Accompanied by his faithful companion, he learnt fast in the art of swordsmanship and rose in the ranks of his year. It was during training, in a fateful spar that he met Prince Gabriel. The young prince had taken interest in Astor from his fighting skills and after a few spars and encounters, a lasting friendship began to grow. The two grew closer as the years passed, sharing many hobbies and interests as well as enraging many council and court members with their mischief and antics.
Soon Astor had completed his training and had joined the army. His skills as a swordsman and a respected leader let him rise through the ranks of the military. Before long, he had reached his goal of surpassing his family, but instead of quitting or stopping, the young knight continued to rise with a new motivation spurring his efforts. His friendship with Gabriel made him reach for something more. He wanted to scale to the top of the ranks to be alongside his friend. Afterall, the Prince would one day be King and every King would need a close protector who would be their sword and their shield, someone who would willingly give their life up for his majesty. And there would be no better person for the role.
Years of hard work, of training of fighting led to him proving himself to be worthy of a position among the greatest fighters of their time. Not only that, but he'd earned the respect of his comrades who now trusted his judgement and decision making. Soon after the Coronation of King Gabriel, Astor joined his best friend to stand by him as his protector, the Lord Commander of the Royal Guard.
He is excellent in the field of falconry and works well with his companion, Kaiser. The two have been hunting together for years and the falcon is always seen perched on the shoulder of his beloved master and friend.

Despite his rather extroverted nature, he greatly cherishes the time he has alone to train or those days when he and Gabriel go out hunting.
