(Just wanna point something out: I'm not the best at writing up long things. Apologies.)

Orio, or whatever his real name is, was born as a single child to two parents. Yeah, that's how it works. Male, female, bam, a baby. Not much else to say about that. Anyways, his parents were rather radically anti-war, to say the least. Not exactly right in the head in the minds of most of their peers, and for good reason. They've always been kinda nutty.

Now, their strict anti-war and, often times, anti-military views heavily impacted the way their child was raised. They didn't want him around any soldiers, or anything that might sway him towards that kinda thinking or lifestyle, no, no, he had to be the purest of pure, so to speak. They've got some screws loose, you could say.

They wouldn't let anything taint their child. So much militarization, and things of the sort going on outside, at least that's how they perceived it. In fact, their child was their own little, well-kept secret.

Now, this child had little to no way to contact the outside world, what with his nutty parents and his own inability to, well, go outside. All his learning, exercise, and entertainment had to come from within the household, where it couldn't taint their poor, innocent child. And this was the way his life was. Tolerable.

Wake up, eat some food, do some work, exercise, eat some more food, sleep. That's basically his life for the first nineteen or so years of his life. He never really questioned it, or really thought of what was outside his sheltered residence. He didn't really care, he had everything he needed, or so he thought.

His father snapped, nearly hospitalized a man on 'the outside', the details of the story were always fuzzy in his mind, mostly because his father ended up losing his job over the matter, and that spiraled into a whole new set of problems. Money was getting tight, it seemed to the parents that military work was the only way they'd be able to support themselves and, well, this child of theirs.

And, well, they found themselves in a situation where they were always stressed, and angry, and in the company of someone who couldn't run away, or tell anyone even if he wanted to.

Well, things got really bad for this now 19 or so year old Turian, he needed to defend himself, but he didn't really have a concept of what... Combat really was. He was a damn natural, and effortlessly dropped his parents, snapping their necks in self defense. He soon fled his home, now set free into a seemingly infinite world he had never knew existed.

Well, he went a lot of places after that. Snuck onboard a ship, and was a stowaway. He eventually made it to a place called The Citadel. A few years later, he was doing odd jobs here and there, eventually getting word of this mysterious mercenary-adventurer type of dude, not many people knew him. Some guy nobody knew other than his admittedly odd name: Orio Optilious. He got a lucky opportunity, managed to kill the guy, catching off-guard while pretending to be a traveling merchant, and assumed his identity with relatively no problems.

To be honest, it felt good to be a different, more respectable person. So, he's been keeping that identity ever since.

As far as personality goes, Orio tries his best to be friendly and humorous. He uses his ship and status as an excuse to live out his childish fantasies, like buying ten trampolines and putting them in the storage facility on his ship. His various eccentricities can give off a very unprofessional vibe, but his skill in combat is undeniable.
