Hello and welcome to the Out Of Character Discussion thread! All questions, concerns, chat, discussion, anything, goes here!
Now, before we start I have two important things to say, in the Roleplay Area, do NOT start new topics. Only reply to this one or "The Ark" which will be where we do the actual roleplaying.
Secondly, in case you never read the information area, here's something really important:
Meta Information:
So, you joined the roleplay. Our characters will start off on the beach with amnesia, no memories except for their names, naked, wonder what the Specimen Implant is. They speak English, and they have retained information up to a modern day highschool education. Your character CANNOT survive well on their own. We're going realistic, dropped in the jungle, "Naked And Afraid." If you were in the forest naked you would be hard pressed to make shelter and clothes and a forge if you don't know how. Now, here's where engrams come in. First of all, there's no inventory like in game, your character has to carry stuff. However, the specimen implant opens up a futuristic holographic screen, and after a while engrams will unlock for our characters, teaching them information. Our characters will also have a natural aptitude towards different tasks, some will be better at alchemy or blacksmithing or carpentry.
Now, regarding the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Some are accurate historical creatures like the Dodo Bird, then some like the Araneomorphus or the Cnidaria should not exist as they seem genetically mutated. This will be explained well later in the roleplay, but not all of the creatures will be accurate historical replicas, but some/most will.
Lastly, the obelisks and the Specimen Implant. They seem alien in nature, and very high tech. Also humans are the only creature on the island with Specimen Implants. This will all be explained later in the roleplay.
