OOC Chivalry

Actually, I should just read everything from the beginning again, and make a mental map of the whole situation as I go on. If my logic seems to fail halfway through, I'll be either bothering you on Skype or I'll be here, tagging everyone responsible and demanding to know where Harvey Dent is.

In sorting, this is what could be seen from the campsite.

  • Sayne walked out of sight with his horse and Lureana
  • A fire has started in the rooftop of one of the huts. Lureana only sees it because she is lifted on Sayne's shoulders while he is atop the horse. From the campsite, the most that could be seen is smoke; however, it would be against the dim light of the nightfall sky, and difficult to discern with a mere passing glance.
  • A number of minutes later, Sayne returns with his yell "HO! PERIL, TO ARMS! TO ARMS!"
  • Areynia in tow, he comes into the space around the campfire and gives a very brief and confusing explanation about what Lureana saw. He asks those capable in combat to line up, and the 3 soldiers escorting the pilgrims are the first to do so.
  • Katrin (khuyen) steps in line, and Niximorys (Wes) volunteers to stay with the civilians.


This is what more recently happened

  • Colette (Kaine) and Vencorus (Terragon), rather than go where they're called, snuck around the camp to the path that leads to the gate. There is no thrush cover as they sneak, so I imagine they could be seen conspiciously half-crouched as they go.
  • Fran (Sol) went straight for the gate and killed the guard and set the gate on fire. The time sequence of this is uncertain. I believe it follows Sayne's yell, so perhaps it occurs a few minutes following that. In such a case, it would be parallel to Sayne telling all battle-ready pilgrims to line up. I think the intention was for this to be reacted to post-everyone's reaction to the call to arms.


Update (For Iceykins)

  • Sayne rounded up Argrave (Stickdom), Brienn (Elle Joyner), Katniss (Khuyen) and 3 NPC guardsmen (CSes in Character Sign-up) and set out to head to the village ahead. On the way there, he runs into Fran, Colette, and Vencorus (Sol, Kaine, and Terragon). Vencorus (Terragon) takes Colette (Kaine) away. Argrave complained in insubordination to Sayne.

EDIT: Actually, no, I'm just going to delete the whole thing and type out a new one. Continuity errors fuck me up real good. See you next month, maybe, probably. Earliest by the end of today. Maybe. Probably.

My earlier post was mostly just to check in with everyone, see what was up. I'm not going to do anything 4sure until after finals. Gotsa finals. All the finals. No sweat.
 
I haven't started it yet, but I can have one up in the next day or two, no problem :) just gotta read up on the last few pages to solidify the context, then I should be good to go.
 
Aight, that helps a ton. And, seeing as Argrave has been pretty much zonked out til now, he wouldn't know much of those goings-on anyway (yay for plot-dev unmeta loopholes xD ). I should have a post up sometime tomorrow afternoon, given the chance :)

Here is a beauteous map of the area inside the village. The brown circle is the wall, the fires the fires, and the red dots are bandits, and the white dots are civvies/hostages. The two x's are those corpses Lureana saw, and the light blue circle is the town square. I'll be referencing this latezors, once we enter therein.

I WAS WRITING IT UP ON MY PHONE WHILE SITTING IN BED AND FELL ASLEEP MID-POST-WRITING! The phone died, so I gotta rewrite it all Q_Q I promised a post, and I always keep my word! That's my Nindo! BELIEVE IT!
