Kirk was an orphan who made his way up from the bottom.
McFetter was married happily with a 9 year old son and was very wealthy when his son was diagnosed with lung cancer.
While his son was sick he found out that the boy wasn't his.
Though he still stuck around, after his son died his wife killed herself.
He was mad with grief over the lost of his family.
During this time he was very successful financially and blamed this for his success like, karma.
He went underground and now lives along except for his middle eastern housekeeper.
Now, he decides to open his home to a bunch of orphans and kids in the system who need to be adopted.
