Matias - LougeTown: Execution Platform

Matias shrugged at the other two and followed the fishwoman out of the bar. He actually had to run to catch up, and even then he barely caught sight of her as she flirted down sidewalks after sidewalks. He slowed down though, once he reached the execution platform where Gold D Roger was executed, before finally stopping just before the platform. At this point in time, the thought of becoming a pirate had yet to cross his mind, until now, at the sight of the platform. Quite possibly he was going to see a pirate crew being formed, or at least a recruitment, and if such a question was posed to him, he was not sure how he was going to respond.

If anything, this was his chance to get off the damn island. He had been here a year already, and that was way too long for his estimation. It was comfortable here, at least he was earning money and supporting himself, and he knew the place by heart, but it was just so boring. There was only so much entertainment he could derive from smacking rowdy, misbehaving pirate crews and that had gotten stale about 9 months ago. Yet, being a pirate, being on the run from the marines... he was not sure how he felt about that. Piracy would be all the excitement he needed, the fighting, the constant movement from island to island, a change of scene every time... that truly appealed to him. However, pirates lived large and died young. And if he were to be captured... as a former marine his punishment would be extremely severe, for deserting and on top of that, being a pirate. Was this a risk he was willing to make?

And now he had lost sight of the fishwoman. He could either go back to the bar and slave away in that hot kitchen or... he could visit the Gold Roger. He had rarely visited this place, as he pretty much lived on the other side of town but since he was here... he could go and take a peak at the place. Out of curiosity of course. And perhaps, there would be pirates at the place as well, including a certain pirate that the fishwoman was looking for. Small chance, of course, but it was one he would just take, because if she was not there, then he could not even think of where else in Lougetown the woman would be. He would probably just have to go back to his bar in disappointment then.

Matias - Gold Roger Bar

With that, he began to make his way to the Gold Roger. He pushed open the doors and stepped in. And sure enough, there she was, the woman on the bounty poster. The fishwoman was there as well, bouncing around her and begging to be on her pirate crew. There were two other men there as well; people that Matias had never even met, much less spoken to. He felt distinctly self-conscious in his dirty and stained chef whites without his weapon.

Well, curiosity killed the cat, that's what they usually said back where he hailed. Perhaps he would get to see how true that was.

Tremki L. Kaguya, LougeTown town bar

The blue haired boy just sat and snickered to himself slightly before gritting his teeth and turning to Solomon "And you think you're strong enough..?" he shrugged and nodded at his Toto, scratching under the monkey's neck he smiled back at Solomon..Seemingly instantly liking the man much more just by the one comment about his pet monkey "He is isn't he? This is Toto, he's shy but braver than he looks." he said with a slight grin on his face.

That was until he heard another man speak about a pirate crew. Whatever this crew was Tremki began getting interested on who was actually causing all of this commotion. The man seemed to be also referring to Tremki and spoke even more words of 'not making it to the grand line'. His snicker turned into an obnoxious chuckle and Tremki poisitioned himself facing Matias with his arms leaning back on the bar. "You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover." he stated plainly. He never felt the need to boast about his strength or speak high words, he was more of a man who payed more attention to results and logic.

Toto at the time hopped from Tremki's shoulder, leaping onto Solomon's shoulder and glaring at the man for a few moments with two big beating eyes complimenting Toto using his small fingers to tap Solomon's cheeck. It was obvious Toto was becoming more curioous of who or what Solomon was. So when everyone left, Tremki had no choice but to follow...There was no chance he was about to give up his only friend.

As soon as Callie bolted forward in the direction of the bar, Solomon kept pace with the others quite well, keeping up with Callie as she raced down the streets with a sense of ease as he almost completely forgot the monkey placed upon his shoulder until he finally stopped, walking into he bar as her realized the monkey had never left him. His eyes widened with surprise as the shocked animal, most likley taken aback by his massive amount of speed, looked back and he petted his gentle back. "How careless of me not to take note of you before leaving. I'll be sure to take you back to your master once I'm finished with this ok?" He nodded, a kind smile accompanying his words before he too walked in to join Callie and the others.

He looked at the young Fishgirl as she practically danced around Kotone, taking note that the woman in question was the genuine article he was looking for. He looked at the other two residents, one of scarlet hair and the other of black and he stepped forward.
"I would most appreciate it if you could wait for me Ms. Callie. I can keep up with you, but it's slightly rude to not be mindful of your surroundings." He sighed before taking another look at the monkey, and then turning back to Kotone. "Hello Miss Sato, my name is Solomon T. Segrain and me and my friend Callie here are looking for a Pirate crew we could find some work in. Would you mind taking us with you?"

Tremki L. Kaguya, LougeTown town bar

It took a while for Tremki to track down the other's, with the large crowds he had to try squeeze his way through. For a while he almost wondered if he would even make it in time before they ventured off somewhere forever. Shoving his way through numerous people quite larger than himself. Tremki stood out of the crowd and many kept peering their eyes at him with eyes filled with dark intent. Tremki didn't bother to notice any of this at the time but when he eventually found the other's and the pirate he spoke to earlier, taking care of Toto. He was relieved that he caught up with them on time.

However, failing to notice that now several men were following him. Perhaps either recognizing him from wanted poster's or slaver's seeking to take him in because of his unique hair color. Tremki approached the group, rubbing the back of his neck and shyly asked "Hey again..Can I have Toto back? I don't know why he ran off, he must like you guys a lot.." he said, a little saddened at the fact at first but his expression soon after didn't seem to show much signs of care. Looking up he asked another question "You guys are pirates right? Where do you all plan on going?" he asked, curiosity taking place of his monotoned expression.

Kotone, Seth, and Ken

Gold Roger Bar.

Kotone looked up towards the bartender. "I'd like a beer please" She said tossing a few Beli on the counter. The bartender, Raoul, looked at her closely. "Aren't you a little young to be drinking beer?" he said while filling up the glass. "Yeah. So?" she asked as he handed her the beer. He simply smiled and she went back to to her seat.

Her head perked up at the statement about her bounty which a man just made as he entered the bar and gotten a drink . "Why you a bounty hunter or a marine or do you just like chicks with bounties?" She said pulling down her shirt a little, but stopping as he made his second statement about just wanting to start a conversation, and looking down as if a little displeased.

Ken listened a bit at what the girl said a small chuckle leaving him as he kept his eyes on the file that he was reading through rather quickly in case something happened. "Please 'chicks' with bounties are a pain, so no not interested. Just chatting and knowing who I can us-.... Who I can simply talk to with little fear of being turned in. " He said with a small smirk, though of course he had his reason for being curious about the bounty. "I only caught the amount of the bounty and face but not the name. So miss what's your name?" He asked with slight curiosity as he kept his back to her while he read.

"Kotone Sato is my name" She said as she took a gulp of her beer. "So whatcha' readin'" She said. As she did another man wearing a scarlet hood entered the bar and began talking to the bar tender. He asked if the bartender could introduce him to those in the bar. The bartender looked annoyed. "I think they can introduce themselves just fine,"He said."I'm Kotone Sato" She said simply, then continued with "I'm going to be the king of the pirates, even though I'm a woman, but either way... Sadly I'm stuck without a crew" She laughed. "Ooh, you're the pretty lady from the poster!" Seth replied. "5 million Beli was it? Not bad... Not bad at all... Though it's still less then mine, but I think you will have to do. Yes. It's decided, I'm your new nakama. So... where's your ship?" Seth couldn't wait to get going. New things were waiting to be discovered.

Ken was silent and he simply listened to what was going on. As he turned a page he stopped for a moment as he heard the girl say she was looking for a crew. This peaked his interest a tad seeing as he did need a way out of here...after all he did sort of break into a marine base and steal classified documents. When the man that had entered after him said he would join the crew Ken couldn't help but snicker a bit. The guy didn't even see if she was worth the time or could pay him...hell he didn't even check if she actually had a ship or a resolve to become what she said she would.

The black haired male was silent for a decent amount of time before a sigh left him. "I'm a skilled navigator. If you can promise me pay, and a decent ship I will join as well." he said. 'For a time....' He then turned the page and went back to reading the file as he waited for the girls response. "You want to be paid?" Seth asked. "Why? Don't you have enough money or do you just want more? Are you greedy? Or do you have a goal? By the way, I need no pay, just take me to places I've never been."

Kotone laughed a little. "Well I guess I'll have to accept you if your demanding to be my Namaka" She said with a little giggle but then face planted into the table. "Although I don't have a ship" She said instantly becoming depressed.

She rose her head though. "Oh well I guess we will just have to make like pirates and steal one. Pirates get caught in the ports everyday and their ships are usually painted and used as marine ships, so we could hijack one. And as for pay it shouldn't be a problem as we could just steal from people" she said with a giggle. "Works for me," Seth said. "but I'm just curious... What happened to the last one?"

Ken sighed and face palmed softly when he was informed she didn't have a ship already. 'That planning skill...' He thought as he shook his head. 'Guess she will have to do till I can either find a better crew or a better ship...' He let his hand fall down and he closed the file tucking it under his jacket when he heard more people coming into the bar. "Fine you have yourself a navigator." He stated calmly as he got up and moved to a different seat that was closer to the window just in case he needed to book it.

Kotone Grinned. "Well welcome to the crew then." she said, before going back to chugging her beer, completely forgetting Seth's question from before. Soon after a fishgirl was bouncing around her. "Huh?" she said as the fish girl basically bombarded her with questions and statements. Then another male entered and the fish girl suddenly began to ask to join her crew, as did the male. "Sure, I don't mind having you as part of my crew" she said with a smile.

'So fish girl and her boy friend made it here as well' Seth thought, just before his mouth started firing questions again like it had a mind of its own. "Who are you? How did you get here? Why were you running? Joining the crew, eh? Why is that? What do you add to the team? Who gets which role? Where-"

"Okay!" Kotone inturupted Seth's questioning, Not paying much attention to him as she was now pumped up. "Lets go find us a pirate ship!" she said with a smile on her face as she stood up on a table.

Ken sweat dropped a bit as he looked at the women. 'This can't turn out good.....' He thought before letting out a sigh. "Aye aye captain." he said in a half hearted tone as he stood up to leave his file under his arm and his head swimming with the most recent information he had obtained.

???

Down in the basement of the marine base in Louge town a single pirate was chained to the wall. He sat there humming a tune, covered in bruises and cuts as he hung there. Two swords were placed in the corner of the room as a taunt, although one was broken. Suddenly a small click came from the man's handcuffs, the sound of the lock unlocking and his hand being freed as he had a lock pick between his teeth.

Soon the second lock came undone and he rushed to the door of the cell and began picking that lock, until he heard foot steps. Two guards entered the room with food for the man. As he came into vision he was still chained up to the wall, or at least that's what they thought. One guard opened his cell and kicked him in the side as the other threw his tray of food down onside of him. He smiled at him but the guards just laughed and went to give him another beating. This time though his hand came and caught the foot that was about to kick him and he twisted it to the side breaking it, then crushing the man's throat by stepping on it as he fell to the ground. Before the other one screamed for help he had already taken a sword from the man who lay suffocating to death from a crushed trachea on the ground and beheaded the other marine. He walked out of the cell and grabbed the sword that remained unharmed.

The man walked out of the marine base, nearly unnoticed, although around almost every corner you could probably find a guard with a slit throat. He walked down through the town, grabbing a cloak from a store and throwing it over his head with out the stores owner noticing and he continued to walk. He came across a small mechanics shop. "'Ello" he said as he entered looking around, "Know where I can find a sword smith around town, or at least somewhere to buy a sword?" he asked.

Callie Marie

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," Callie squealed after Kotone said that she could join her crew. She started to joyfully dance around the bar. She stopped dancing as Seth started his question bombardment. "You're funny, question guy," she said with a friendly giggle. "I'm Callie Marie, cabin girl." Callie looked at Kotone when she mentioned getting a ship. Judging from her stance on the table Callie was right about Kotone being a fun captain. "Aye, aye, Captain!"

Marine Lieutenant "Crosshairs" Alex

Alex Q. Draw walked into the Loguetown bar. At first glance one would think she was a hired gun, but the Marine's justice kanji on the back of her rugged blue jacket said otherwise. As she walked up to the bar she noticed the pirates in the room. They all looked like small fries. One of the pirates looked injured, a sign that there had been a skirmish recently. "Beer, on the rocks," Alex said to the bartender.

The bartender gave Alex her drink and started to talk as she sipped it nonchalantly. "I'm glad you're here Lieutenant, surely you'll listen to me," he started to say. "That woman, Kotone Sato was in here earlier and ran off without paying for her food." Alex didn't need to follow the bartender's pointed finger to figure out who he was talking about. "Gentle Palm Katone, huh," Alex said with a steely look on her face.

Alex finished off her drink and laid the ice filled shot glass on the bar. "Put it on my tab," she said as she started to walk out. Alex pulled out her transponder snail and dialed Captain Kato. She waited for the snail to click before beginning to talk. "Gentle Palm Katone is on the island."

"Find a Pirate ship?" Solomon said to himself, looking as his Captain stood up and announced that they would have to find a pirate ship, meaning that from the small conversation they had had prior, they would have to steal a pirate ship or rather a marine ship which was formerly a pirate ship stationed upon the harbor. He looked at the woman with his usual apathetic expression, leaning against a pillar of wood in the Bar while he looked on. "I doubt it will take much effort given the circumstances. We can't be facing much of a Military power in this Island after all, so It won't take many of us. How hard could procuring a single ship be after all?"

Solomon then turned to Tremki and picked up the monkey which had been resting on his shoulder and then giving it to the other boy. "I believe he was separated from you upon my leaving, apologies for the trouble. Though, in answer to your previous question, I can imagine the answer would be any more complicated than what you would guess. That woman there is headed for the Grand Line, and I'm going to be her Historian, no pay necessary, just food and a place to stay." He said with another one of his gentle smiles as he looked on, watching Callie dance in excitement and joy.

Tremki glanced around for a moment, and once the man gave back his monkey, it seemed he wasn't too bad of a person after all. Then again they did just meet, he held the monkey up and placed Toto on his shoulder, scratching gently under his neck before giving the man an answer "The Grand line? I guess I should have figured as much..Well if you don't mind, I'd be interested to tag along. At least until I find a certain someone, I don't know how I could really be of use but I've been learning how to tame animals and monster's." he expressed all in one breath. Inhaling deeply afterwards.

Matias - Gold Roger Bar

"I'll come too, if you'll have me."
Matias was quite sure he knew why he had said that, though he was not sure if he was going to regret that decision later. He had watching the others being accepted into a pirate crew, and though he knew not why, he felt so envious. These people were going to get to see the world, while he was going to be stuck here in Loguetown bored out of his mind, with the remarkable artifacts of piracy's golden age constantly reminding him of what he would be missing. Perhaps being a pirate was not such a bad thing after all, if one was going to be doing it with people he could trust, sailing off on remarkable adventures and making a name for himself. Of course, he might die young too, but even that was better than growing old in boredom.

"I mean, I can cook, and fight. If you need that." The (pitifully) few perks of being a former marine, after all. And would it not be a thump-down to the Marines to have one of their former soldiers become a pirate? Which reminded him, he would probably need to make a detour in order to get his glaive and his few pitiful belongings from his apartment. And why was he so nervous. He quickly put on his most winning smile in order to hide that nervousness. Of course, there was the chance that he would be turned down. But still, at least he attempted. And even if they did turn him down, LogueTown was full of adventurers, he could probably find a ship to take him somewhere else or even accept him as a crew member.

That would be a major inconvenience though, as well as a prolonged waiting period, so he still did hope he would be accepted by this crew.

Eustacia “Stacy” Beauregard

Eustacia gave the oddest glare to the pirate woman who walked up to her and told her she was not a man. ”Well, obviously!!!” she scoffed in reply although she didn’t stop walking and she completely ignored wherever the woman went after that. She had to bring Mr. Sephill his drink and let him know she was leaving for good before she could pursue the pirate further. Eustacia did have that much of a conscience at least.

As she made her way back to the mechanics shop, little else seemed to be happening as far as eventful things were concerned. Sure, people were moving here and there, but that was an everyday thing as far as Eustacia was concerned. She ignored most of the people she crossed paths with until she pushed open the door of the little mechanics shop she had called home for the longest time. Sure enough, Evan Sephill was sitting right where she had left him. In fact, he had fallen asleep in the chair.

”Typical…” Eustacia scoffed slightly before she shook him violently to make him wake up. ”Mr. Sephill! I’ve got your drink for you!!” She shoved his beer into his hand before he was even fully awake and ready for it although by some miracle, it didn’t fall on the floor.

”Eh!? What took you so long, girly!?” he growled at her as he popped the top off of his drink and started chugging.

”I’m leaving, Mr. Sephill,” Eustacia said without a moment’s hesitation. ”I saw a pirate, I’m going to catch her and then I’m going to pay off my bounty and start up my own shop. I’m tired of being your errand girl!”

”Leaving, eh?” He shrugged. ”Guess that means I can drag out your wanted posters and remind the marines that you exist again, eh ‘Stacia?” He wasn’t very subtle about his threats to her.

Eustacia wasn’t scared, though. ”Go for it! See if I care!” She snapped back at him before she vanished behind the front desk to grab what few possessions she had, her twin pistols being among them. She strapped her holsters around her waist and slid both her weapons inside, making sure that both were loaded beforehand.

After a moment of watching her and seeing that she was serious, Evan Sephill got up and walked into the back room, fully intending on carrying out his threat.

Eustacia had been about to walk out of the little shop for good when a man walked in wearing the oddest cloak and asking where to find a sword smith. ”We don’t sell swords here, but there is a smith who lives two blocks up the street,” Eustacia answered. ”I’m actually going to be heading up that way if you’d like me to show you.”

Gentle Palms Kotone

Kotone sat down in her chair and looked in awe at the line up of people wanting to be in her crew, especially at the cook. "Hired" She said jumping up to grab the cooks hand, nearly drooling as she imagined the food he may cook for her. "Oh and you too..." she said looking over to the young tamer of beasts. "Alright" she said paying for another mug of beer, that she chugged back quickly. "I'm going to head out to find a ship, I would also like to meet someone who has talent in the art of swordsmanship and possibly a shipwright, and maybe a few others, but we shall see how luck favours us" She said as she began to leave the bar. "Meet here by nightfall, I'm a wanted woman, so I'd rather leave when we have the darkness to cover our tracks, but if we do run into trouble lets meet near the west coast, just outside out town, When I steal the ship I'll dock it there" She said as she opened the door and gave them a wave, "Just relax while waiting for me or do your own thing, I honestly don't care" she said.

She began to walk down through the alleyways of the town wondering what necessities she would need on her ship, thinking mostly about the kitchen and the bed rooms, so far her and the fish girl were the only females, so it would be likely if they got a ship she would share the captains quarters with her and any other females they picked up. Also the kitchen would have to be well equipped, She was still a growing woman after all and she needed her food. Also it would be likely that each crew member would need some sort of office or place of their own, so she took that into consideration. She also had to think of a name for her new crew, this part was never easy for her, and she had difficulty coming up with a name that struck fear into the hearts of their opponents.

Marine Captian Jakuro Kato

"Dammit!!!"A Marine shouted into the speaker of a transponder snail Cracking the speaker as his hand clenched around it, and it eventually shattered. He picked up the speaker to another snail phone transponder and began to dial a number. He was no ordinary Marine, but yet the Captain stationed in Lougetown. "Alex!" He shouted back into the transponder as he finished dialling the number and heard the woman on the other end pick up. "First Demon Swordsman Ryuu and now Gentle Palm Kotone" He said, just now realising he hadn't given Alex the News about The prisoner that they had been holding, The Demon Swordsman. "Listen Alex, Demon Swordsman Ryuu recently escaped custody, we found two dead gaurds in his cell as well as many others in the halls. He has some extreme luck or something for us to not have caught him on his way out. You head after him, I'll handle Gentle Palm Kotone" He said slamming down the speaker for the transponder snail, hanging up.

Demon Swordsman Ryuu

The man in the mechanics shop looked at the girl. "Names Ryuu, I wouldn't mind having you take me to the sword smiths shop" he said simply. He Took a sword from its sheath, the blade was shattered and its remains were inside the sheath, the sword was dead. He held it out, "it was a good blade, always had a good edge" he said sliding it back into its sheath. He walked outside and met face to face with marines. "It's him, The Demon Swordsman" a marine said pulling out guns and swords. Ryuu sighed. "Stand back girl" he said drawing his one good blade. "You better watch yourself, this blade is cursed, and its hungry for blood" he said, gripping the blade loosely. "Snake sword: Slither" he said as he quickly manoeuvred through the guards. The loose grip on his sword made it easy for him to quickly move the sword around but made it easier for others to disarm him, but none the less the blade did its job. As several marines fell to the ground blood dripped from his sword. He cut each guard once across the chest, Killing them, and flicked the blood from his sword, sheathing it. "So where's this sword smith?" he asked the mechanic girl.

Solomon T. Segrain

Solomon smiled at his newfound Captain even as she left, her presence giving the promise of new adventures and educational opportunities for his research aboard a real pirate crew. He found himself elated in his own jaded way and also excited for whatever there was to come from this. He looked towards the Cabin Girl he had first found and decided it best to spend some time with her for the sake of preparation for the Grand Line up ahead. It was going to be a very notoriously dangerous voyage which would take some months to travel, so he would have to stock up on his own supplies given how his own had run dry from the past week of traveling to Lougetown. "What do you say to going to the marketplace in order to purchase some food and equipment for the journey ahead? I can't imagine that food will be an issue since the cook and the Captain will be taking care of that, but we'll still need some clothes and such."

As he allowed Callie to reply, Solomon turned to face the door to the bar, preparing himself to exit as his captain had done before him. He looked at the others with his own signature smile, practiced yet, in his eyes nothing more than the stretching of the face muscles to contort a positive gesture. Humans were strange, at least to people so far removed from their customs. "The offer stands for anyone else who would like to join."

@shadowdude505

Eustacia “Stacy” Beauregard

Eustacia’s mind flooded with so many thoughts. This swordsman, this Ryuu, had just slaughtered marines without batting an eye. She had spent her life hiding from marines, on the run from marines, simply because she had decided to make one poor decision and hurt one. What would the penalty be for killing them? Eustacia just wanted to start her own shop. She wanted to pay off her bounty, buy her freedom and be a mechanic. That was what she honestly thought she wanted. And now she was standing there and surely someone had seen her associating with a man who had just slaughtered marines.

She stood silent for a moment. Eustacia didn’t know whether to join him - because the marines who were hunting her had quite honestly been entirely out of line. The one she shot had been a sexist dick after all. She could run - probably not a bad idea considering others were referring to him as a ‘Demon Swordsman’ and that didn’t sound very friendly. She could shoot - probably the last thing on her mind at that point in time.

Attitude slipped onto her tongue. “Pause for just a second. You just slaughtered the marines. Why should I do anything for you?” Eustacia still didn’t know much about the man but she already didn’t like that he was dragging her into something that was bound to deter her from her goals. “Why should I stick around when you’re just going to worsen my rep with the marine core?”

Staring at him for a moment, Eustacia gestured up the road. “Smith’s up that way. Don’t tell anyone I sent you. I’m a mechanic, not a murderer. I fix things. I don’t break them. Let me know if there’s something I can fix, but until such a time, I want nothing more to do with you.” There was no hint of fear in her voice; however, her hand did slip to one of her pistols. Part of her wondered if the damage in being seen with him had already been done, though.

Matias - Gold Roger Bar

A huge grin broke out on Matias' face when he was accepted into the pirate crew; Kotone even going so far as to jump up and shake his hand. He had been nervous, truth be told, but now he was elated. He was going to leave this boring island behind! He was going to be going on constant adventures! He was going back into the excitement of constant travel again, and boy was he looking forward to that! "Yes, Ma'am!" he beamed, giving a salute on the receiving of orders to meet at nightfall either at the Gold Roger or the West Coast. There was some stuff he needed to do anyway; he needed to pack his meager belongings, grab his weapon, let the bar know he was leaving...

Matias - Appartment

He nodded his head at his new crew members after the Captain left, still wearing that grin. "I'll catch you all later then." And with that, he walked out of the Gold Roger bar and into the bright sunlight. His apartment was all the way at the other side of Logue Town so he quickly made his way there. Once he got there, he pulled off his chef whites and changed into a simple collared shirt , rolling up the sleeves and leaving his shirt untucked. He pulled on a comfortable pair of pants and laced up his boots, and pulled on a leather jacket. He then grabbed his knapsack and began packing his belongings inside. A few shirts, both collared and crew neck, some sweaters and a jacket for colder climates, pants, belts, socks, underwear. And of course, his chef whites, and his collection of knives. He would still need those on board the ship; he was to be the ship cook, after all. Once this was done, he closed his knapsack and took a look around the room. it was depressing, he had to admit. He had no personal knickknacks, other than a few coins from Dressrosa, the place he had been born, and where he probably still had family. Perhaps, he would get to visit Dressrosa again, even see his family.

His smile faded then. They had been so proud of him when he joined the Marines. He would be making a name for himself, they said. The Somera name would be famous in the pursuit of justice. And now, he was going to be a pirate, the complete opposite of the marines. The Somera name would be one of notoriety instead. Yet... perhaps he would get to set his own mark as a pirate instead. As a marine, he had been of minuscule rank, a small fry. As a pirate... perhaps he would get to do something big enough to impact the world he was living in, and perhaps for good as well.

He picked up the coins and dropped them one by one into a little leather pouch, which he tied to his belt. Then, he shouldered his knapsack, picked up his glaive from where he had left it resting against the foot of his bed, and walked out. He did not even bother to lock the door. There was no longer anything of value in that small room. and that part of his life was now over. He had been intending to notify the bar that he would no longer be working there, but this he hesitated to do so. He knew he would get screamed at, and it was better to just go quietly and disappear. Besides, they knew he was going to leave anyway, for the past six months he had been grumbling about how boring Logue Town was, so it was kind of expected he supposed.

Matias - Marketplace

The sun was still relatively high in the sky, so he made his way to the market with the intention of browsing the food available as well as spices. There were some dishes he was really good at, and he wanted to make an impression on his crew after all. He would have to buy enough to last them a month at sea. It would wipe out all his savings to be sure, but he was not too worried about that. He would probably earn back what he spent anyway.

Callie Marie

Callie giggled with joy. After nightfall she'd officially be a pirate sailing on the sea with a crew. The thought of adventure sounded fun. She stopped giggling and quickly turned her attention to Solomon as he began to talk to her. "That sounds like a great idea," she replied. "But...what are we going to pay with? I don't have any Beli on me. Do you have any Beli?" she asked in rabid succession. She pulled the travel bag off her bag and opened it to prove that she didn't have any money. All that was inside was a water pistol and extra clothes similar to what she was currently wearing.

Marine Lieutenant "Crosshairs" Alex

Alex let out a sigh as the line between Captain Kato and herself was disconnected. It sounded like he broke the receiver. Was he really that worked up about a pirate being on the island? After the Captain got back in contact with her, the source of his agitation became clear. Demon Swordsman Ryuu escaped and it sounded like it occurred recently. "He was lucky alright, lucky that I wasn't there to snipe him," she said to Captain Kato over the transponder snail. "Consider him captured." Alex hung up and returned her transponder snail into her jacket pocket.

"If I was a swordsman where would I go?" she asked herself. She deduced that the sword smith's shop would be a good place to stake-out. Alex made her way toward the shop, but instead of waiting outside of the sword smith's place of business she climbed up a nearby building with a great view of the building. With some net bullets ready, Alex looked down the scope of her rifle that was currently pointed at the sword smith's shop. If Demon Swordsman Ryuu showed up, he'd quickly learn why she had the nickname 'Crosshairs.'

It was chaos. There was way too much going on for Seth’s ADHD brain. He was turning his head to every single person who spoke, but had trouble since they were talking almost simultaneously. Kotone. Grumpy navigator guy. Kotone again. Fish Girl. Monkey. White boy. Wait what? Monkey? Cool! Focus! Who was talking to who again? … ehm let’s see … Cook. Fish Girl ... aaand everyone was leaving all of a sudden. Why? What am I supposed to do? Monkey! Focus! Argh, why did it have to be this difficult? He had to make up his mind quickly, or he would be left behind. He decided to do the smartest thing. He would follow Kotone. If she was to be his powerhouse for protection, she had to be strong. Seth would observe the girl while she was doing her job. Yes, that’s what he was going to do. But wait … she already left the bar. “Catch ya later!” He shouted before he jumped from the bar stool and sprinted outside to follow his new captain.

As luck would have it, he could still see a sliver of red hair turning the corner. He decided it would be best if he didn’t interfere in Kotone’s pursuits. He wanted to see her in her natural element. Swiftly he climbed the side of the building, jumping from the window to the bar’s sign and catapulted himself to higher windows. Once he got on the roof he ran to the direction Kotone was walking in. It was a good thing she was walking slowly. He could catch up in no time. From the roof he had a nice view on his captain. Now all he had to do was observe her and make sure nobody would notice him. Easy, right?

"Well Ms. Callie, as Pirates we operate outside of the law entirely. We may not be wanted now, but the possibility of sailing with Ms. Captain and avoiding procuring bounties on our heads is very slim. So, if we want money, we don't have to work within the typical law constraints to procure it by legal means." Solomon replied, walking outside of the bar and letting Callie tag along. He looked at the crowd, analyzing the various shops and storefronts that were selling items all around town before he arrived at a certain shop at town which had the name "Lucky Gadgets' on the sign above.

"Stores in this town are also not typically on the verge of collapse, considering tourism and foot traffic is so good here what with the recent increase in pirates wanting to travel the Grand Line due to the recent events in Marineford. If one business were to lose a small yet decent amount of money, it would of course be negative in impact, yet not enough that they couldn't recover over a reasonable time frame. What I'm implying is, let's go rob this store, ok?" he said, pointing at the store front gently as he looked, apathetic towards Callie and awaiting her response.

Tremki L. Kaguya, LougeTown town bar

Nodding slowly, it seemed that she didn't mind him joining. He simply glared towards her for a few moments before then glaring to Toto, he always thought that Toto could read his thoughts; At least this is what he hoped, he didn't overly know enough about monkey's but they were definitely his favorite animal by far. They were the only thing which could have been some what relatable to humans as far as he knew. (This only just came to me, but a Monkey Zoan could have been fitting for this character xD Oh well~). He only wished that he could have some kind of power that let him read Toto's thoughts. He always wondered things like 'Does he really like me? Or does he just stick around because I give him food..' or 'I wonder how he feels about all my choices.' often it was a thousand different questions simulating in his head at once. In fact, to everyone else around Tremki it was as if he were trapped in time, gazing into the eyes of Toto which stared right back into his.

Once he snapped back, it seemed almost everyone had left - He felt glad that he at least caught the last words of his new Captain during his deep thinking phase that they were to meet at this exact location later on. Tremki wasn't much of the social bug, so when there was an offer to go somewhere with somewhere else Tremki simply declined "No thanks, I've got stuff to do. You know, packing and stuff." Tremki was lying through his teeth, but he often didn't feel bad if he lied in order to avoid getting someones feelings hurt. He stuffed his hands in the pocket's of his jacket and making cross hand gestures to make the jacket adjust to a comfortable position. After that he simply turned his head off and with his right foot stepping towards the same direction as his head he walked off to seemingly no where.
'This could have been either the best decision I've made..Or the worst.' he thought to himself as he aimlessly walked.

"I donno...." Callie replied. She hoped Solomon was right about getting bounties. She really wanted to have a large bounty someday. Although she wasn't sure if right now was the best time to start down the bounty path. Callie was under the impression that Captain Kotone wanted them to keep a low profile until they met up that night and left Loguetown. On the other hand waiting around sounded boring. Now seemed like the perfect time to explore.

"I guess looking wouldn't hurt." Callie ran over to the Lucky Gadgets store and walked inside. She let out a awe inspired gasp after seeing the inventions inside. It was all new to her and she wasn't sure what they did, but they looked cool. Callie scampered over to the nearest invention and stared at it with a twinkle in her eyes. "Look at this!" she said excitedly to Solomon. "What's this? What's that? Have you seen anything like this before? What do you think this is for?" Callie bombarded Solomon with questions as she scampered from invention to invention.

As they walk inside, cameras whirred alive, small red lights flashing as a large bulletin board embedded in the front desk flashes bright red with the words "Welcome". As Callie runs down the lobbies, she could see gadgets of various sizes, from the size of a fingernail to the size of a large boulder, some unfinished, some rusted to the point where they were unidentifiable, and some were polished clean to where you could see your own reflection.

From the back of the shop, a large figure ducks under a door frame, and the tall figure stands up straight, a tall figure of 8'3. The tall figure was Lucky Daniel Deck, the owner of the store. The silver haired lad smiles, showing a set of white teeth.

"Ahh, how nice. Some new customers I have never seen. How can I help you both?"

Solomon T. Segrain

Solomon walked in with Callie, looking at all the inventions that Lucky has for sale while his young friend scrambled about. He looked at some of the inventions as he saw the rather large man enter the room, his appearance and overall size rather large and intimidating, yet still remaining unfazed as he did not bother to respond to Callie's questions. Rather he occupied himself with speaking with the aforementioned large man. "Well," he shrugged, looking yet again at the inventions sparsely placed around him. "We are just browsing. Admittedly we are slightly low on currency at the moment, so I would say the chances of us procuring your abilities for service or purchasing any of your inventions are low."

In retrospect, robbery did seem slightly extravagant which would cause their crew a lot of trouble with the local Marine forces, enough so to possibly run them out of town given how extreme the measures of the marines were becoming in order to kidnap pirates and put an end to the newcoming era.

Lucky nods, crossing his broad arms across his chest.

"I understand what you are saying. The damn people in this town are also losing a lot of their cash. Why, I have no idea. However, with the smell of the sea on both of you, I can tell you both aren't originally from here. Traveling around?"

@Elision of Ecritures @shadowdude505

Callie Marie

Callie was briefly intimidated of Lucky as the 8' tall man walked into the room. Stealing from the shop now seemed like a really bad idea. She hoped Solomon would forget about his stealing scheme, after all there was more to being a pirate than plundering. "You could say that," Callie replied after Lucky asked if they were traveling around. "I came here to join a pirate crew and guess what! I found one!" she added excitedly. "Are you part giant? You're really tall, giant guy," she quickly asked out of child-like curiosity.

@Elision of Ecritures @National

Lucky snickers as he looks down at the young girl.

"No little girl, I am not part giant. However, I do have relations with a giant, that's for sure."

It was a subtle hint that he has a devil fruit, a devil fruit that allowed him to be a giant. His pearly white teeth glint from the lights inside the store.

"A pirate crew? I haven't seen any of those for a long time. The last pirate I saw was three months ago, one of the new eleven supernovas. Crazy guy, that's for sure. Its been a while since I've been in the ocean. I had my own ship, but it got crushed before I came to Loguetown. Anyways, how may I help you two? If you're not here to buy, you seem too busy to just browse. Anything specific you guys need?"

Kotone & Seth

searching for a ship

Kotone walked down towards the shore line. She passed by a small group of marines at a bar who were half drunk. She walked into a alley way when one marine was with a woman. The woman slapped him across the face and ran past Kotone. The Marine looked down to the ground and stumbled a bit, obviously drunk. Perfect She thought to herself. She walked up to the marine hiding her face as well as she could with her hat and by looking down. "Hey there" She said in a seductive voice. The marine looked over, but before he could speak she had her hands on his chest. She reached down and undid a button on her coat. "Whats a man of the law like you doing all alone back here" She said placing his hand on her hip. "When he could be with me" she said. The man just laughed. "How about we go somewhere else, like where they keep the ships confiscated from pirates, and we can have some... fun? How about you tell me where that is?" she said. "On the north side of the island there is a ship yard where we keep those ships, its not far out of town" The marine said spilling the beans. She leaned in close, bringing her lips close to his, and the marine closed his eyes. "Impact Impact no... Head butt" She said giving him a full forced head butt, along with the force of her powers, knocking him out cold. "Thanks" she said buttoning up her jacket and fixing her hat.

Cool! Seth thought as the marine fell down. His new captain definitely had style. He had followed Kotone all the way to the bar. For once, he didn't get distracted along the way, the captain's behavior was interesting enough. Seducing a marine would not have been Seth's approach, but then again he was not a woman and not that charming either. He liked Kotone's guts for doing something this ballsy. It was a bit risky, using a marine. Luckily Seth was all about taking risks himself. Moreover, now that they had a crew they could handle some drunk marines, assuming that they valued their dignity more than their duty to tell their captain. Kotone started moving again. Seth followed as silent as he could, not losing Kotone out of his sight.

Kotone walked for a little while before she managed to find the north end of the town. Her sense of direction was bad she was just easily caught up in stuff, like watching a fight break out in the streets. She walked out of the town and onto a small beach. Seth, who was still on tailing her on the roofs, freaked out. He saw his target walking along the beach. There were little hiding spots and his bright scarlet hood would certainly catch Kotone's eye.
What to do next? Should I catch up to her and start a conversation? Or should I remain distant? Would it be really awkward or would she be fine with it? Maybe she would even throw him of the crew. He couldn't let that happen, could he? What to do? He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice Kotone had continued walking and was almost out of his sight. Seth jumped up. He had to make a decision now. Stealing an awesome boat with his awesome captain and causing a ruckus in the process or stay behind, alone, maybe forever alone. Well, if you put it that way it isn't such a difficult choice anymore. Seth lithely climbed down and started running in the same direction Kotone went. Kotone was caught up in her thoughts as well. In the distance she could see the ship yard and the gates that surrounded it. Marines were gearing up and leaving by the dozen inside. She found a good look out. She could see the main gate, but was still concealed from the watchtowers. "I wonder what's happening?" she mumbled in herself. What she didn't expect was the actual answer she got:"Maybe they have a party? Do you think we're invited? Or should we go anyways? Or even better, we should crash the place! ow, wait, ships ... and stuff."

"What?" Kotone said jumping as she got a answer. "Oh, Seth, it's just you, so you were that strange presence I've been feeling for a while. I just thought to ignore it and move on" She said looking at him. "So want to help me?" she said grabbing him hold and giving him no other choice. "Impact no Impact: boost" she said jumping and a impact shot out of her feet sending the duo over the fence. There were a lot of ships in the ship yard and most were being painted over. She began to look around. A couple stood out in particular and she went from one ship to another checking the interiors until she came across a certain one with a sea horse as the head piece. She smiled as she liked it. She got on the ship and began to check it out. She looked around, finding that the ship had a training room, a crews quarters and a captains quarters, a map room, a shower, a highly equipped kitchen, a area for the ship write and tables where work could be done, a medical room, and a small dinning area parallel to the kitchen. "What do you think Seth, I like it, what do you think?" she asked.

Seth was way too enthusiastic to even answer the question.
The ship was so awesome! He was running and climbing all over the place, finding the best spots to hang out. His train of thoughts was way too fast to process right now. His mouth was speaking a lot of words, but no normal human would understand it. Kotone could only figure out a few words along the lines of: awesome, cool and let's take it already. Rapidly Seth climbed the main mast all the way to the top. Kotone could still hear his voice as it gradually slowed down and stopped. There was a small moment of silence, like the lull before the storm. suddenly Seth shouted: "Captain, we might have a small problem..."
