Lougetown Arc

The waves rolled gently over the smooth rocks that lay over the beach. A town buzzed with conversation as day break had just past and it was now business hours. Down on the docks the ships coming into port were inspected by marines, trying to find out if pirate crews were entering the harbour. In the centre of the town a large execution platform remained erected. This was the place where the great pirate era begun the place where the words "You Want my Treasure, You can have it, I left everything in one place, now you just have to find it!" were said before the past pirate king Gol D. Roger was executed. This was the last stop for pirates of the east blue before the grand line. This was Lougetown.

Out on the Ocean a small ship began to make its way into the beach just outside of Lougetown. In the bottom of the small boat a girl lay asleep, The wind blowing her hair around. She yawned and rolled over as she opened up her eyes and sat up to see that her ship was heading straight into the rocks. She made a quick turn hard to port and narrowly avoided the rocks before she was thrown from the ship as it had hit the beach.

She stood with a face full of sand and yawned looking around. From her ship she grabbed a small bag and began to venture inland. As she walked through a small forest she came across the town. And looked down upon it. "Lougetown..." she said in almost a whisper to her self before cracking a smile and running towards the town.

In town she walked through the streets looking around At some of the shops and other buildings till she came to where she wanted to be. She stood in front of a bar, on the side there was a sign saying 'Fresh fish 25 Beli'. She went inside and sat down. The bartender walked up to her and asked her what she wanted, "Food and Beer" She said with a grin. Within a few minutes she was digging into her food and chugging back beer. "So what's your story" The bartender asked. The girl simply replied "Pirate". The bartender smiled and she said "But I'm still looking for a crew". "Well good with that" The bartender simply replied turning around to pick up a den den mushi, but when he took a second look the girl was gone with out paying for her food and beer.

Outside She smiled walking around. and eventually taking a seat on a bench that was in a park. "Man how am I ever going to find a crew?" she asked herself as she looked up to the sky with a yawn.

The man back in the bar was arguing over the den den mushi with a marine, who was saying low time crimes like that weren't worth dispatching a whole platoon over. He laid down the den den mushi and looked across the bar. On the wall something caught his eye. A wanted poster for Kotone Sato, the same girl who was just in the bar.

Solomon T. Segrain ~ East Blue (Loguetown, Business District)

"What do you mean?" a calm voice inquired, it's owner standing behind the counter of one of the many aisles for customer service belonging to the Architect's Guild, an official institution for the Unionization of all Historians, Architect's and Anthropologists alike. However cal his town came across as, Solomon however gave a look which clued into his obvious confusion and slightly distraught reaction. Understandably enough as what was being reacted to wasn't the best of news to say in the least.

The clerk standing behind the counter cleared her throat once more, her own body language seeming to mimic Solomon's, her voice clear and businesslike yet her expression seeming grave. "To repeat, no matter your aforementioned skills and knowledge, despite your age-even though that sort of factor can affect your admission into places like these, without an official Historian's license of any kind you're unfortunately incapable of representing our establishment because you're not officially recognized as a Scholar and therefore do not meet our require image."

Solomon simply sighed, and nodded in her direction. With a parting 'thank you' he turned and walked outside of the building and onto the streets of Loguetown, his expression slightly troubled as he seemed to have reached an unforeseen roadblock in his journey to becoming a successful scholar and seeing the world like he had promised the good Dr. Segrain. He certainly couldn't give up on his efforts to go and study humans like he had always dreamed of doing, but no matter how good he was just as the woman had said, he wasn't officially certified. They had said that they could have the test shipped in to the building by the end of the week, only three business days....

Then again, he didn't exactly have the kind of money to properly stay at a hotel room for over one single night. He scratched his head, his tired eyes growing soft with the exhaustion of these newfound issues. He looked down the road, curious as to what he should do now. "My, my.....what a predicament."

Solomon took a small walk down the street, hearing the birds chirp as he made his way, soon nearing the park bench where Kotone sat.

‘Jyooooooh!’ Apparently the South Bird was not amused. ‘What’s with the turning your head always southwards? Why not northwards? Are the other directions boring or what? Does it hurt if I turn your head the wrong way? Is it awkward? Irritating? Do you get headaches?’ The head of the bird was released from facing northwards. ‘Jyooooooh,’ The bird cried again. This time followed by childlike laughter and clapping. Apparently someone did see the fun in it. The head was turned again, a little further than last time, causing the South Bird to cry again. The insects in the lower cages were going wild. ‘How do you do that thing with the insects? Is it hard? Can you teach me? Do you think I could even possess the ability to do that? By the way, Does it work on all insects? Maybe even other species? Can you control individuals as well? What can you let them do? Can they choose not to?’ The crimson haired boy pushed the head again. The bird was clearly in pain, but the boy kept pushing. The bird shrieked. ‘So that’s how far you get, eh? Why not further? Why does it have to hurt? Why-’ The boys monologue was suddenly put to a halt.

A big muscled guy had gripped the boy in his scruff. He lifted the boy off the storage shelf next to the caged South Bird until the boy could barely touch the ground with his feet. ‘What the hell were you doing up there?!’ The man, who was the shop owner roared. ‘You were hurting my prize bird! I will make you pay!’ The boy made a face, unclipped his hood and jumped out of harm’s way. The owner was flabbergasted to find out that the ‘boy’ was in fact an adolescent. A mischievous face had been revealed, bright red hair and green eyes, one covered up by an eyepatch, The other with a daring spark of joy. ‘I have heard of you,’ the owner managed to speak, clearly still confused. ‘You are the-’ He squashed his neck and felt something sharp. A small dart was sticking out of his neck. Before he could finish his sentence he went limp and fell to the ground.

Seth giggled as he picked up his signature scarlet hood. The astonishment on the limp face of the pet store owner was priceless. He would love to hang around until the owner would awaken to make fun of the man and mock him with his memory loss, but he couldn’t allow himself that luxury. Sétanta had come to Loguetown with a mission. He just couldn’t help himself when he saw the South Bird through the pet store’s window. The birds were rare and their behavior really intriguing. One day Seth would learn how to imitate the call that aroused insects, until then... research, research, research. He almost got sidetracked by his own thoughts again. Focus. You need people to guard your back. Pirates. Adventure. New Lands. New animals. New subjects. Focus, Focus, Focus. With much effort he put the man in a somewhat natural sleeping position and went outside. The pirate ship that dropped him off at the Polestar Port told him they were recruiting at the Gold Roger Pub, so he should probably look for that place. He began to climb to the roof. He had no idea where to go. Even looking down from up there he saw nothing he recognized or which could lead him the pub. The wind picked up speed. Somehow Seth’s guts told him to run in a certain to the south. Seth had experienced over and over that his instinct was his best friend. So, without hesitation, he started running and climbing to get where he somehow needed to be.

Callie Marie

"Row, row, row, your boat gently up the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream," a young squid fishgirl sang as she rowed a dingy toward Loguetown. She giggled to herself as she tried to make the hard work fun. With Lougetown in sight, she viewed the island with starry eyes. Soon all of her hard work will payoff. All she could think about was Gol D. Roger. She learned a lot about the King of Pirates from her friend and mentor, Captain Squidly. "You Want my Treasure, You can have it, I left everything in one place, now you just have to find it!"

Callie grinned from ear to ear as she docked the dingy on the beach. She quickly tied rope around a large rock to secure the small boat on the island. She gave the rope a couple of tugs to check if the boat was secure. After being satisfied with her work, Callie started to run toward the town square. She ignored the stares from the citizens and other tourists. Most pirates wanted to get into the Grand Line, but since Callie was born there she ended up leaving it to come here.

Callie ran past the bar, Kotone, Soloman, and other people. They were all a blur to her. She was too focused on seeing the Pirate King's execution site to take in the sights. She skidded to a halt and started to catch her breath once she reached the town square. She eyed the execution platform with wonder in her eyes despite it being used to kill the King of Pirates. Full of energy, Callie ran up to the execution platform and ran a hand across the metal support beams. "This is amazing!" she squealed before a mischievous grin appeared on her face. She was tempted to climb up to the top of the platform.

"A Squid?" Solomon asked as he looked at the running Fishwoman whom he had identified through her obvious anatomical structure. He had never seen a Fishperson before in his remembered life or at least doubted he would considering they weren't particularly common outside the Grand Line where he spent a majority of his life from what he had gathered. He watched the carefree girl run along in excitement as he decided to follow, is curiosity admittedly peaked as he silently submerged himself within the crowd and watched the colorful girl walk all of the way to the strcture which stood amidst a small crowd of people as some watched in awe at the very place where the former Pirate King Gol D. Roger was executed in the name of justice, only to bring about the very Era of Pirates which caused so much ruckus until now.

Solomon noted the admitted irony of such an incident, and looked upon the structure with no less awe than even the fishgirl he followed. He walked forward, closing the gap between him as he tapped her shoulder lightly as she guided her hand along the metal support beams. Of course, he wasn't following her just for the sake of following her, as that was quite rude and he fancied himself a gentleman after all. Anyone who ran recklessly around a place was either being chased or they knew the area well, so he decided she was the ladder.
"Excuse me miss? You wouldn't happen to know where a person could find any employment around here would you? You seem to know your way around here."

Eustacia “Stacy” Beauregard

“Stacia!” her name was called out and Eustacia was forced to roll her eyes. No matter how many times she told him it was ok to call her Stacy, he still insisted on ‘Stacia’ which was this weird mix of her real name and her nickname and she hated it to no end. Nonetheless, she turned to face her manager as he continued. “Go into town and grab a beer for me, sweetie.”

‘Ugh… why do I work for this guy?’ Eustacia sighed and rolled her eyes although she did nod to him. She already knew the answer to her own question, afterall. She worked for him because he had offered her a roof and food without any fear of revealing her identity to the marines or any bounty hunters who wandered through town. She didn’t have a big enough bounty for there to be any posters wandering about with her name on them or anything, and she wasn’t easily recognizable, but that didn’t mean Eustacia had any reason to turn down the secrecy while she was able to.

“Yes, Mr. Sephill. Afterwards, I’ll even man the shop for you if you’d like to go find some fun,” Eustacia snickered. It was no secret that Evan Sephill liked both his alcohol and his women, and Eustacia knew it better than almost anyone else. She had to listen to him go at it with them almost every night since he had perfectly placed her in the attic, which fell directly over his bedroom.

“Watch yourself Stacia,” Evan Sephill warned her.

“Always do,” Eustacia chuckled in reply before she scampered out of the mechanics shop, not wanting to sit there and listen to him scold her for talking back to him. He knew that no matter how much he scolded her, he would still take her up on her offer in the end.

Eustacia ran through town fairly unnoticed. Sure, people were bustling near the docs, but they always were so she was used to it. LogueTown had been her home for two years now; there wasn’t much that surprised her anymore. Even the bartender knew her and as she walked into the bar, he waved, turning his attention from the marine he had been talking to. “What can I get for ya, Stac?”

“The usual. Well, Evan’s usual, I suppose. But that’s kinda become my usual too so… eh.” she shrugged it off, paid for the beer, and waved as she walked out.

However, Eustacia took a long way back. She wanted to avoid Evan Sephill for just a little while longer. Walking through the park offered enough of a detour so that was what Eustacia did. She didn’t really look at anyone in particular although when her eyes fell on one particular figure, Eustacia blinked and tried to remember the scene in the bar. There had been a poster… ‘That’s the woman from the poster, isn’t it?’ The question ran through her head. Eventually, she recalled she was correct. ‘5 million beli!? I could open my own shop with that and be done with Mr. Sephill for good!’ There was a small chance that Kotone might have seen Eustacia as she turned and ran the other way, but that small chance escaped Eustacia’s notice completely.

Eustacia was already running back to the shop to drop off the beer she had gotten for Evan Sephill. Once that was done, she could figure out what to do next. The prospect of finally escaping that creep was driving her, but the prospect of opening a shop on her own was what excited her.

Matias - Logue Town: Bar

"Mornin'!" Matias Somera yawned as he strode confidently into the bar, dressed his usual attire; his slightly stained chef whites, pants and comfortable shoes. He had woken up late, as usual, and had pretty much run right to work, throwing on his uniform and running a hand through his hair to neaten it somewhat. Either way though, his hair still stuck out at odd angles, which was pretty what his hair did at most times anyway, so people in his workplace had stopped commenting on that. Anyway, hair did not really matter in a kitchen since it was covered by a cap anyway.

The bartender glowered at him. "You're 15 minutes late. Sign in and get the hell back." He waved behind him, to where the kitchen was located.

Matias stopped and gazed at him with a quizzical look. "What's up?" he asked, his voice extremely curious now. "What did get you in such a rut." Matias had already worked in this place for a year, and was pretty much in charge of all kitchen-operations by now. There were at least three other cooks in the back, but he was the one responsible for running the kitchen and planning the menu, as well as ordering foodstuffs. This was his first time as head chef; he had just been promoted a month back when former head chef retired and now it was his turn to shine. As long as, of course, he actually reached work on time, which he rarely did. The other cooks were more or less used to it, and there was a reason why Matias was called a charmer; one could never be mad at him for long. He knew the bartender, and obviously there was something that had happened that pissed him off.

The bartender glowered at him. "That woman," here, he pointed to the large wanted poster stuck on the wall behind him. "Walked into our bar, ordered food and drink and ran off without paying for it. Can't even get the damn marines over to deal with it. What use are the marines anyway, useless..." his words dissolved into muttered grumblings that Matias could not catch. He had heard enough though. The mention of marines... well, that had pretty much soured his mood. Anything to do with marines would sour it.

"Ah, how exciting," Matias said, in a voice that meant the total opposite of what he was saying. He struggled. "Guess I'll go behind and get started with today's prep then." And with that, he headed behind, grabbing his apron and cap from the kitchen entrance, where they hung on pegs.

Callie Marie

Callie spun around after Solomon tapped her shoulder. The spark of amusement twinkled in her eyes. The human in front of her looked to be near her age. This was the first time she was up-close and personal with a human. She could see why some of the Fishman referred to them as pale apes. "Sorry jobless guy," she said, coming up with a rudimentary nickname on the spot. "I'm not from around here, so I don't know where you can find a job." She cupped a hand to her mouth and leaned in. "If you want to become a pirate like me, we can look for a crew together," she whispered with child-like glee. "Have you seen anyone who looks like a pirate?"

@Elision of Ecritures

"A pirate you say?" Solomon replied, leaning in to hear her whisper and then whispering himself. He seemed to be completely unfazed by how childish Callie seemed to act, completely taking her as serious as possible and not really letting the nickname bother him very much. He thought to himself for a small moment about her proposition. A pirate? A life of defying and rebelling wasn't really his cup of tea, though from what he surmised about the government and pirates, and how they were care-free humans who lived on the edge and followed their dreams, and didn't have any job requirements, the pros for taking up such an occupation added up quite nicely.

"I haven't seen anyone who particularly looks like a Pirate really besides that Kotone woman who I've only seen on the Wanted Posters, but..." he said, thinking with a small smile. "I overheard that Pirates are recruiting people at the nearby Bar just a couple blcoks from here since they recently docked. I suppose we could try there if that's good with you." He suggested, turning around and facing the direction of the aforementioned bar.

Tremki L. Kaguya, LougeTown town outskirts

"Oof!!" Tremki hit the ground with a big thud when a bull like animal rammed him to the ground. Bouncing up almost instantly after being knocked over, Tremki wanted to avoid being hit again and once the bull came running back Tremki was able to jump over the animal this time. Once landing behind, a determined look filled Tremkis expression turning his body around to face the bull and chasing after it. "KYAHH!!!!!" he shouted, birds flying from the tree's around him he jumped on the bulls back and wrapping his arms around it's torso tightly. The bull at this time went wild, kicking up and around trying to get Tremki off it's back. Tremki just continued yellowing as he gripped on tight "Toto!! Now!!!" he shouted once more, Toto was a small monkey and also Tremki's best friend. Who at the time wasn't paying much attention to Tremki and instead, picking out some small fuits from the tree. Before hearings it's name and the word 'now' the monkey quickly made it's way over a branch. A vine with a fairly large sized rock sat there, waiting for someone to be in the perfect position. Toto pushing the vine and the rock coming down and smacking the bull hard in the side of it's head. "Heuahaha~!! VICTORY!" he shouted, lifting himself up from the bull with a grin on his face.

Looking back to Toto who by now leaped down from the tree and quickly made it's way to where Tremki was. "See Toto? I told you it would work." he said with a smug grin. "Once he wakes up, that's where my work begins!" he said, cracking his fingers in front of him. He was aiming to tame the beast, he wasn't any expert at the skill yet but he always found it good to exercise the ability when he could. Besides, practice makes perfect right?

While Tremki waited around for a few minutes, a group of rough looking men begun walking towards Tremki. All of them were armed, although none of them had taken their weapons from their sheathe or holster's. A few of them kept a stern eye on Tremki as they walked passed, the air filling with an eerie silence as they walked by. Tremki stared at them to whole time, curious on what they could have wanted with this town. Technically it had only been a few weeks that Tremki was docked in Lougetown. He found numerous of the people in town nice...Word of any troublemaker's bringing hassle was just bad business. That's how Tremki thought of it anyway.

Getting up shortly after the walked into Lougetown. Toto was hiding itself behind Tremki's leg, fear covered it's expression and once they were out of sight Tremki leaned his head down towards Toto "What happened to being brave hm?" he asked Toto, blinking his eyes a few times before letting out a sigh and getting up. Tremki decided that he should go get some food, they would need some if they wanted to tame the bull anyways. A key to any animal's heart was by good food! Well sometimes it was anyway.

Tremki strolled along and made his way into the town, walking across the market district. The place wasn't overly busy but the whole place buzzed with commotion. People talking which each other, people walking by. Stall merchants yelling out to everyone as they walked by in hopes they can make a few beli. Tremki walked up to one stall that was selling fruit. Before anything he should feed himself, right? Tremki picked up a red apple and rose it up in front of the merchant lady "How much for this?" he asked, his expression showing that he was curious. The woman replied "That apple?! You mean
the! Apple? Why that just ain't any apple boy! That apple is a devil fruit!!!" the woman shouted in belief of her own tall story. Tremki's eyes dimmed and his expression was of a different sort right now that said 'you're the most stupid person I know' he looked back down to the 'red devil fruit' and he asked again "How much?" he asked, again the woman told him the price "200 beli!! Cheap right? Cheap~! Cheap~!" it was obvious this woman had a few screws up in her head loose. Tremki looked at the lady and back at the apple...'I've never seen one before so maybe she is right? 200 beli is cheap..But that would leave me with...20 beli..' he let out a sigh, rubbing his head at the thought and nodded "Whatever, here.." he said with minor disbelief in his tone as he handed a bag of beli over. The woman madly cackled to herself as Tremki walked away, taking a bite later and his eyes cringing at the expectation of something 'spectacular' to happen.

What he would find would be disappointing....The red 'devil fruit' wasn't a devil fruit at all and the whole time it was just a mere apple. Maybe slightly juicer but an apple none the less, letting out a sigh Tremki only wondered why he would fall for such a stupid lie. He wasn't interested in going back to ask for his money, but now he also had no money to get food for the bull he was aiming to tame. He facepalmed himself. Looking over to Toto who was rested on Tremki's shoulder "Say..Toto you could get me some beli could you?" he asked, Toto's eyes closed and making a shooing gesture as he curled up and tries falling asleep on his shoulder. Tremki chuckled shaking his head slightly "I thought so.."

Tremki walked towards the local town bar, opening the main door once entering his eyes quickly scanned the area. He took in all of his surroundings and continued to tread on into the bar. Taking a seat up at the counter, although he wasn't old enough to drink sake he would often come to the bar to listen to all the interesting stories and hear the latest news of what is going around in the other places of the world.

@BlacklegSanji @Anyone else inside the bar

Callie Marie

Callie's eyes sparkled as Solomon mentioned the rumor about pirates looking for crewmates at the local bar. "What are we waiting for, lets go!" The fishgirl grabbed Solomon's arm before running in the direction he indicated. She skidded to a halt once she saw the bar with the 'Fresh fish 25 Beli' sign. "Is this the place, jobless guy?" she asked full of enthusiasm.

Before waiting for an answer she rushed inside the bar with her hand still firmly grasping Solomon's arm. She quickly noticed the wanted posters and let go of Solomon's arm before walking over for a closer look. "Is this the pirate lady you mentioned?" she asked Solomon as she eyed Katone Sato's wanted poster. She was awed by the 5,000,000 Beli bounty the woman had. It seemed like a lot of money to her. "She seems like a fun captain. I wonder where she is," she added, turning to look at Solomon. "My name's Callie by the way. What's your name, jobless guy?"

"My name is Solomon T. Segrain." Solomon simply replied, nodding at her as he followed her all the way to the bar without much visual concern for Callie's upbeat or rather rambunctious attitude. He looked at the wanted Posters as well, his eyes blinking as he looked at the rather large number, at least for a human being and nodded. "She does seem very mysterious and adventurous. Though I don't know if she's hiring. And with a respectable bounty like that for a rookie, I doubt she would take in those who aren't particularly experienced."

"But that doesn't mean we can't apply anywhere, I'm sure that these people will be reasonable enough."
he said, gesturing towards the table where a group of people sat around and drank, eating and talking excitedly as from their behavior and clothing they seemed to be pirates, and if they were pirates at this bar that meant they were recruiting for new members. Solomon walked up next to them, straightening his tie he tucked underneath a black vest as he coughed to interrupt. "Hello Gentlemen! My name is Solomon T. Segrain and me and my Fellow applicant Callie here are interested in joining your crew."

There was only silence in the bar for a short while, the eyes of the pirates fixed on the two of them before the all began to laugh uproariously.

Kotone face planted into the ground, leaving a small crater shaped like her face. "Oh..." She said to her self standing up. "I fell asleep" She said yawning wiping the dust off of her face. She walked off into the town, yawning as she would still usually be asleep around this time of morning. She looked around the town and in some of the stores. Some claimed to have items that you would need for the grand line and tat famous pirates have used, others tried to rip you off. She walked up to one stand in particular and watched a man leave taking a bite from a apple. "Hey you girl?" The woman at the stand said. "Me?" She asked and the woman nodded. "Would you like to buy a devil fruit?" she said holding up a shiny red apple. "How much?" Kotone asked with a slight sarcasm behind her voice. "200 beli" The woman said and Kotone took out a bag of money and held it out but then slammed her hand down on the stand. "Impact-Impact no Hand cannon" She said smiling right at the woman before her stand exploded. "Like hell that's a friggin' devil fruit!!!!" She shouted taking her money and leaving.

Some marines came around the corner and saw the seen, but by then Kotone was already gone, having seen them first and running at the first sign of trouble. She came across a little mechanics store as she was running and decided to go inside and wait for the marines to pass As they did she sighed and turned around to see a girl who was dressed like a guy (@DaughterofAthena ). She went over and patted the girl on the shoulders. "Your not fooling anyone.... Its obvious your a girl...." She said before turning around and leaving the store walking up the street.

She Walked up the streets and eventually found her self looking at the execution platform where Gol D. Roger was killed. She smiled in awe. But her attention towards the execution platform quickly faded as she remembered what she had come here to do. She ran down the street a little further and came across a sign that above the door had 'Gold Roger'. She walked inside and sat down at a table, even though the place was currently empty.

Location: Marine base then Gold Roger

"Time to get to work...." A black hair male muttered as he leaned against a wall looking directly at a marine base, in the middle of Lougetown. Looking at it for a moment ne looked away and smirked as he pushed off the wall and casually walked to the base. Keeping his head up and walking with an air of authority around him as he acted as if he belong there. He walked up the steps and right by the two guards that looked at each other rather confused, seeing as they haven't seen the man there before, however it seemed like he belonged there. So neither bothered him though they were confused as they stayed on guard.

'Wow... I literally. Ahh I love it when this happens.' He thought as he stuffed his hands into his pockets he took a turn into a janitor's closet just as a patrol came by. He hummed to himself a bit as he waited for a moment. When the footsteps went away he left the closet and walked down the hall. He took a sharp turn and went down a hall. 'Let's see... Two rights and straight.' He thought as he continued to walk on. It was relatively easy to go on, he avoided the commander and second command and told anyone that saw him that he was applying for a job. So they simply let him walk on, it was a walk in the park till he got to the more restricted area.

Here he became far more careful and made his steps silent. He avoided patrols and others knowing his excuse wouldn't work any longer. He was very careful and soon he made it to the fourth floor where he took out a rag and a bottle of chloroform that he bought earlier. Soaking the rag he went silently and when he came to a guard he suddenly rushed him and knocked him out with the rag. 'Only one guard? ...Probably nothing valuable here.' He thought as he took his lockpick set and opened the door to the archives. Looking around he quickly slipped in and looked around. 'Box 33198...' He thought as he looked around quickly. Soon he found exactly what he was looking for. Taking it and placing it on the floor he dug through it looking for a certain file. He soon found it and when he did he perked up as he heard shouting. 'Someone already found him?' Taking the box he put it back before going over to the window and breaking it since it couldn't be open.

He placed the file under his arm before his hands glowed. He hopped onto the window sill and looked around. Taking a deep breath he shot a ball of light at a chimney across the street before he tossed another at the ground directly below him. "HALT!!" Someone shouted as Ken snapped his fingers. Ken looked over his shoulder and grinned as he saw five people aim a guns at him. "Tch tch...too late~ Bye bye." With that he fell down four stories right into the portal only to come out of the other portal that was on the chimney. He rolled a few times before getting up and running as fast as he could as his portals closed. A bullet whizzed by his head but it missed, and before anyone else could shoot at him he jumped down an alley and bolted.

The thing is he was being chased, word spread of his little break in fast and he had to bolt faster. Taking a few sudden turns and jumping some fences he started to get tired. 'I need a place to lay low.' Looking around he saw a place. It was a bar, not one that many if anyone went to. 'Perfect!' With that he ran into the Gold Roger bar. He entered it the door slamming open making the bells ring rapidly. Taking a few deep breaths he looked around. '...Only two.' He noted one red head girl and a bartender. Seeing it was only them he relaxed and walked up to the bar and placed the file down so he could read it while he had the chance. "Busy here aint it." he said with a small chuckle as he looked at the bartender. "Some water." He said to the man as he pulled out some money. He then looked over his shoulder at the red head for a moment in silence. He then shrugged and looked back at his file opening it so he could read. "You are wanted aren't you? It wasn't much I think but I saw your poster somewhere." He stated with a small sigh. "...Just striking conversation, I'm not interested in the reward."

Matias - Logue Town: Bar

Fifteen minutes had passed and already Matias was at the front again, resting his left forearm Onon the kitchen doorway as he watched the customers in the bar. He had already done his prep work (okay, most of his prep work: no doubt the other cooks inside were picking up his slack) and now, he was pretty much just watching the bar patrons in the hopes of spotting anything interesting. He let out a yawn. He was bored. Bored with everything, basically. He had been in Logue Town for a year, and a year was six months too long for him to be landbound. At least with the marines he got to travel. Though that was pretty much the only good thing about the marines.

More people had just come in; a man had just turned up and sat at the bartop counter without ordering anything. Matias did not approach him; it was not his job to take orders anyway, that was the bartender's job. Another human man and what appeared to be a fishman turned up next. He had seen those before, on his travels, but rarely enough that he still turned an interested eye on them as they moved towards the wanted poster of Katone Sato. He wondered if they were either wannabe pirates or bounty hunters. Only those people seemed to be interested in the bounty posters that were put up in the bar, and sometimes they even approached the the bar for more information. These people did not though. They simply stood by the poster and talked, before the man approached a group of pirates who were seated nearby; a rowdy crew, who came here quite frequently, and always picked fights with other patrons. He cringed, expecting a fight to start, but to his relief, the crew only laughed when he asked them something. Enough for him to know that they were laughing at his expense, despite not being able to hear the conversation from where he was standing.

Oh well, time to be somewhat helpful because this was probiiably the most exciting thing that would happen today. Those fights with that rowdy crew no longer counted as exciting because they happened so frequently. He pushed himself off the doorway with his left forearm and walked over to the two. "If you're looking for that woman, according to the bartender she was here not too long ago. Ordered food and drink and left without paying." He shrugged. There was his good deed done for that though, though he was not sure who he was helping exactly. He looked at them out of curiosity. "Are you bounty-hunters or pirates?"

"In reality I'm quite neither. I'm an Archaeologist and my name is Solomon T. Segrain." Solomon replied with a curt nod in Matias' direction. Solomon looked at the group of rowdy pirates who were still laughing at him and lowered his head, taking in a deep breath followed by a low sigh. The pirates were laughing so hard at the two of them that one almost fell out of his chair in sheer amusement. "You? A pirate? You're way too young and inexperienced. You and your little fish friend could never survive in such a line of work, especially in the place where pirates are truly separated from the fake and genuine! The Grand Line would eat you up and spit you back out!"

One of the pirates looked at the two as the others laughed, sweeping some wine bottles to the side on a wooden table, the muscular and large man looked at the two of them with a cocky grin. He slammed his elbow onto the wooden table, his calloused and veined hand cracking the knuckles in his hand before he shouted at them above the laughter, "I'm the strongest man of this entire crew, and if you can beat me in arm wrestling Kid, than you can join us, how about that?"

Solomon turned away, looking at Matias and then at Callie with the same expression as usual, calm and collected.
"I don't think we should try any further with these men Callie. They don't seem like the best sort of people to be associating with. And you, sir, would you mind pointing me in her direction if you can? If she's close by she might be our only lead to finding work on a pirate crew." he said, looking at Matias with an inquisitive look.

Callie Marie

Callie crossed her arms and made an unamused pouty face as the pirates laughed at Solomon and herself. Her mood seemed to lift as Matias spoke to them. "I'm going to be a pirate. Thanks for the info, chef guy," she said with a grin, showing off her inhuman teeth orientation. She quickly went back to looking pouty as the pirated belittled her. "I was born in the Grand Line, I can handle myself!" she exclaimed.

After the arm wrestling challenge was given, Callie impulsively stomped up to the self-proclaimed 'strongest man of the crew'. She took a set across from him and held out her hand to arm wrestle. "Heh, you don't stand a chance against me kid." Callie angrily arced her eyebrow after hearing that statement. Once the arm wrestling match started, Callie quickly slammed the man's fist into the table using her fishman strength. After winning, Callie walked back over to Matias and Solomon with a smug look on her face.

Callie stuck out her tongue out at the pirates. "I didn't want to join your crew anyway." "Why you little brat!" the strongest man interjected. Suddenly things became tense and it seemed like a fight would break out. "If pirate lady is anything like me, she'd be at Gol D. Roger places," Callie said to Solomon. "We should probably go now, jobless guy."

"Pirates do have an affinity for bars and such after ll, that's the only logical assumption." Solomon nodded again as he watched Callie beat the poor pirate in arm wrestling. The tension in the air was certainly at an all time high as the pirate in question reached out, with Solomon's back turned to him the man grabbed him by the shoulder, his expression angered as his comrades looked on in awe at the fishgirl's amazing strength. Solomon looked over the shoulder that was being grabbed, his expression now a small frown as the man reached for a sword at his belt. "I'm going to knock you into next week-"

But the man was stopped mid-sentence as Solomon replied to the action with a simple and swift kick, his right leg raising and colliding with the muscular man's chest as Solomon uttered
Vector Kick: Right and the man's body was sent flying to the side, crashing into the wooden wall by his side as the wall seemed to crack by the sheer pressure. A crimson drip fell from the man's mouth as he curled into a ball from pain. "Let's go Callie."

Yeah... About that not getting sidetracked again… That didn’t exactly work out the way Seth wanted to. His instincts went a bit haywire today. First it let him to a bar that had “fresh fish 25 beli” on the side. The place was rather boring. There were some swanky pirate wannabees, who wouldn’t survive their stay in Loguetown with their overconfident behavior. Not really the protection he was after. When he walked outside he saw a young fish woman, or rather fish girl, walking towards the bar. Her species was quite interesting, but Seth wasn’t really into that kind of “fresh fish”.

Then Seth’s hunch led him to an older woman that tried to sell him an apple as if it was a devil fruit. Not a smart move considering that he worked with The leading scientist on devil fruits. He respected her mischievous creativity, so instead of selling her out he decided to prank her. He told her that he was sent from the Devil Fruit Inspection Department. Clearly she didn’t conserve her fruits in the right way. The crate should be filled with seawater at exactly 21.7 degrees. An expert could easily see that the devils fruit was spoiled because it didn’t show purple polka dots. The woman was taking notes as fast as she could. Seth could have continued for hours, but he saw that more and more marines were patrolling the streets. It was time to go to the roofs again.

He had just one strategy: go in the direction with the least marine troops. Somehow his guts told him to go in that direction anyways. It lead him to the center of the empty back alleys of Loguetown. Seth started to recognize parts. He was here yesterday and the day before that. He was close to the Gold Roger. In the three days since he got in Loguetown he had gone there every day, but it was always empty. He didn’t think he would find anyone there today, but it was a nice place to lay low with all the marine activity. He got down and walked through the door.

There were actually people in the bar. Aside from Raoul, the bartender, there was a guy sitting at the bar and a girl that seemed vaguely familiar sitting at a table. The guy seemed way too intrigued with the girl to even look at Seth. The girl’s expression was not readable. Raoul’s, on the hand, clearly showed what he was thinking. Not him again. Seth winked. ‘Quite the business today Raoul,’ Seth said as he walked over to a barstool and climbed it. Raoul eyed his shoes on the stool angrily. Setanta didn’t budge. He liked sitting squat. The old man could not push his guests around or he would lose them. ‘The regular please!’ he shouted. Wow, that sounded badass. Even when this was only his fourth time here and the ‘regular’ was actually a glass of pumpkin juice. An awkward silence followed as Raoul got the drink for him. ‘So … Are you going to introduce me to your other guests or should I do it myself?’

Lucky Daniel Deck

"Whaddya mean it costs two thousand beli to fix my lamp?! It's a damn lamp!!"

Sitting across from a very tall individual, an old man was practically shouting at the tall individual, angry at the price. Lucky, the tall individual, sighs, rubbing his hands together before replying.

"Look, I already told you that this lamp is ancient, and I would have to buy extra parts to fix it. You literally brought me a rusty bronze pole with a destroyed headlight. What do you expect?"

"I expected a senior discount! Bah! Fine, I expect it finished tomorrow!"

The angry old man stood up, dismissing Lucky's attempt for a handshake, instantly shuffling away, and out the door. Lucky sighs, casually flipping the finger to the old man as he stands up. He looks through the window, and walks back to his desk, looking through the door that peers into his window. "Lucky Gadgets" wasn't doing too bad in Loguetown, and Lucky was making a good amount of money. He cracks his knuckles as he opens the door, entering his store and checking the inventory. Of course, he was getting low on his inventions, since he didn't have time or any new ideas. He taps his fingers on a nearby cabinet, bored out of his mind. Maybe something exciting would happen. Maybe someone was recruiting people for a crew. He silently laughs at his stupid thought, and continues to check his store inventory.

Tremki L. Kaguya, LougeTown town bar

Tremki tried minding his own business. That was until a rowdy group of pirates entered the bar and began chanting words of being pirates. Tremki thought too many people were open about what they were. Tremki definitely wouldn't go around expressing the fact that he was once a slave to a royal family. He didn't even like showing his hair much after experiences in the past. He just sat and asked for a glass of water. They continued talking and one mentioned that of a fishman. Tremki always heard about them as a child but he never got the chance to see one, however he knew that what made them seem so terrifying was their natural strength and ability to swim under water. In fact, he'd always wondered what would happen if a fishman were to eat a Devil fruit, would they be able to swim underwater still?? He doubted it...

A few moments passed and Tremki got his water from the bar man. It was also at that time more commotion was going on and one of the larger men went to the 'chanting' pirate (
@Elision of Ecritures ). Tremki's attention focused on them when he saw the man use something which was either another advanced from like martial arts which was similar to Rokushiki,.Or the man possessed a devil fruit. The larger man who tried hitting the 'chanting pirate' was sent flying from the kick he took, which if Tremki recalled correctly, the move was named 'Vector kick'. In curiosity he turned his attention over towards the man and asked, with a blunt tone in his voice "What's a vector? And why would you leave because of one man?" he asked with curiosity filling his eyes.

Toto was on Tremki's shoulder, mostly trying to hide away from the man. Toto wasn't the bravest monkey and he was already terrified by this man and only took the time to poke his head out of the way of Tremki's to take a quick glance at the pirate before retracting it's head back and hiding away.

Solomon looked in Tremki's direction, his gray eyes meeting the other's blue as he stood to face him. "I leave because anyone who holds such a daring role upon a ship or crew, pirate or otherwise becomes a model of behavior whose actions must uphold the values of the crew second only to the Captain himself. Besides that, if they all seem to find my attempt at comradery to be laughable before knowing my abilities and at least have a weak understanding of who I am, then they do not obviously need my addition, because they are, or at least they believe themselves to be strong enough to make such baseless assumptions." He admitted, looking at the crew again, and then back at Tremki. "Additionally, a Vector is, within the confines of Physics and Mathematics, a Quantity which has the propulsion and speed to move across a plane, such as a ray or line. It's basically matter with energy put into a direction."

After he told the blue haired boy his explanation, Solomon looked to the cowering Monkey who stood upon Tremki's shoulder and cowered. "What an adorable pet you have there. Anyway, I should get going if I'm to start my search for this Kotone Sato woman and find a job on her crew."

Matias - Logue Town: Bar

While all the exciting stuff was going on, Matias stood by with his arms crossed, a grin on his face. He was actually quite pleased to see those guys get their just deserts, and not prepared by him this time. Those guys were the worst regulars possible, they picked fights with everyone in the bar and most times, with the only chef with some sort of fighting ability, he was sent in to stop the conflict from escalating further and to throw them out of the bar. They were pathetic excuses for pirates; even without his glaive he could still defeat all of them, just one person against them. Though the man and the fishwoman promised to be as strong as he was, perhaps stronger. Knowing them, after such an ass-beating those pirates would not be trouble for the rest of the day.

He was about to say more when a third man joined their party, with a monkey on his shoulder. "If I'm going to be part of a pirate crew, I'd want to be with people who I can trust to have my back if needed, not people who would kick me out the moment I show weakness. That pirate crew sounds like the latter, if you ask me." He snorted. "These guys are regulars, and would probably be for a long time because they'd never be able to make it in the Grand Line. You would be wasting your time even captaining them." He knew all about the Grand Line. He had been born on Dressrosa after all. Those pirates would get chewed up there even before making it to the first island.

He grinned then, a natural curiosity filling his eyes. "If you're going to be seeking that pirate out," here, he pointed to the lady on the bounty poster. "I think I'll come along. I never got to see her though, I came in too late; it was the bartender who told me everything that happened. If you have a better idea of where to find her I'll just follow you both."

Callie Marie

"Alright!" Callie said excitedly after Solomon said that it was time to go. Pumped up with the idea of joining Kotone's pirate crew, Callie bolted out of the bar leaving Solomon and Matias with the choice to follow or search for Kotone on their own. She sprinted through town and after running a ways, she noticed a building with a sign reading Gold Roger. "Gold Roger? Gol D. Roger?" she thought. With a twinkle of excitement in her eyes she opened the door and walked inside.

Callie walked into the center of the room and spun around to see all of the Gol D. Roger stuff on the wall. She squealed. "This is so cool!" Callie stopped spinning and finally noticed the bar's clientele. There were two men and a red haired woman. Callie gasped before she scampered over to Kotone. "You're that pirate lady I saw on the wanted poster! So cool!" she said excitedly. "Can I join your crew? Can I? Can I? Pleeeaaassseee?" she asked, jumping up and down due to her boundless energy.
