Meh it's your story. Hector isn't the main charecter so he doesn't need to be a god. 


But in a spin-off where he is a main charecter he'd totally become a full God and weild an axe and sheild combo.

The weapon I had in mind however is called the Axe of Heroes. 


It can only be wielded by an Olympian. 


It is indestructible and can block energy and magic if he is able.


it also can teleport back to his hand after he throws it. 


It would have another enchantment that would only allow him to wield it with the intentions of well being a hero. So if he were to try and use it to say get revenge, fight over petty crap, take over the world he wouldn't even be able to grab it, his hand would pass right through it.
