There once was a lady awaiting,
Oh fair maiden!
The town by sea she lived, OH FAIR MAIDEN!
Dreaming a fairy tale, oh fair maiden!
The town went to string her up, oh poor maiden.
A witch they had said that she was, devil lady they said she was, devil lady
Reviled and thrown about, abused and tossed around, no peace for the lady.
The town where they strung her up, blooooody ladies!
Salt in the fields she put, VENGEFUL LADY!
Locusts in the crops they reaped, karma lady!
When she died that is what she did, a terror on the face they had,
Oh the stillborn cry and cry.
Plagues on plagues on plagues she brought, the townsfolk's woe she wrought, the townsfolk rot and rot.
And now the minstrels warn, be wary of the witch you scorn, for all the townsfolk sing with the bards of what it brings,
To harm a witch's life, you'll reap oh twice the strife, from the grave they warn of grief.
The town of hate lies vacant now, the wilds reclaim that fabled town,
For nowhere is vengeance sung so sound, as that town of witch's cry....
