Personality: Tessa has a tendency to be sarcastic in the worst of situations, she attempts to hide her true feelings about something with sarcasm. It's hard to get to her, of course, but once one gets to know her their rewarded with a extremely loyal friend. She's creative and artistic, loving to draw and paint something that helps her hide herself away for a little while. Insecurity has always been apart of Tessa's life, but she tries to keep those insecurities tucked away and hidden so that know one could ever find them. Again, once you get to know her Tess is an extremely affectionate person and quite honestly loves hugging or cuddling people (just don't tell anyone or she'll slit your throat, she's got an image to maintain.) Tess is extremely impulsive and reckless, her mind has no stop and think mechanism, it's simply "go."


Bio: Tessa's father was her best friend, he supported her in everything she did. When she was finally open about her sexuality and her religious mother decided she wanted to shun Tess, her father accepted her, comforted her, but then he turned around and stabbed her straight in the back and twisted the knife.


After her mother left, everything was great at first until her father began his backstabbing. It started with simple name calling, thing like "dyke" and "fucking lesbo", but then he turned to the yelling and the hitting. Bruises marked her body, she felt like one of those cliche depressed and abused kids. So, she left, got away, went to her uncle.


Violence has become a part of recouping for Tessa. Whether it be throwing a punch and breaking someone's nose, or snaping their arm. She took to training like a fighter, with punching bags and bench pressing, that, of course, built muscle and layered on even more walls around her heart. Then the smoking started, she smoked any thing she could get her hands on drugs or not. Now here she was, a maniacal fighter, just trying to survive herself.

Personality: Joshua is a friendly, sociable extrovert who always seems to have a response for everything - whether it be in the realm of everyday life or of the new, the unexpected.

Truly, though, he doesn't think he deserves the kind of friends he has. Being nice, talkative, funny - it's what Joshua does. Yeah, you can lend someone something or pay them a compliment, but that can only go so far. It's mostly the internal fears and insecurities of a past life ridden with bullies and beatings - verbal and physical - that keeps him from being real with anyone and that stops him from telling anyone anything about himself. Truth be told, underneath Joshua's cool, witty exterior is a sweet, sensitive boy who just hasn't found a way out of his thick shell, built to keep himself from falling apart; and should anyone gain his sincere trust, they shall also command his undying loyalty.

Biography: Joshua Evans found his humble beginnings in a broken home - absent father, alcoholic mother, abusive brother. Thankfully, he had the common sense to run away from it all when the opportunity presented itself.

Although he didn't escape unscathed. Having sustained attacks of a sexual nature from his older brother since he was seven, not to mention living under poverty and surviving in conditions considered 'unlivable' since birth, he abandoned his birth family at twelve and ran as far and as fast as he could. Eventually, he collapsed in the lawn of a house belonging to a couple, who found him minutes later and rushed him to a nearby hospital.


From there, after two weeks in the hospital, immunisation vaccines numbering in the double-digits, and a plethora of social workers, he was accepted into the home of a wealthy family who took him in and treated him like their own - and while he remained a bit distrustful of the two parents and his new younger sister, he gradually shifted into the lifestyle he had been provided, and soon it was like there was no other.


The family soon enlisted him in a private school to regain all the years of education he had missed due to his past circumstances, and within a year he had met and exceeded the academic expectations set by the school. Within three years, he had moved up a grade and remained the top of his class in every subject - making college, which had previously been unavailable to him, a possibility.


And then the bullying started. Small things at first, nothing he hadn't already handled back at home. He thought it was normal, considering his past life - and so let it continue, and continue it did. Worse and worse atrocities every time, until it was nearly a repeat of how things used to be. He sooned learned to fear the bathrooms and hallways and supply closets, any enclosed spaces, really; as if his male classmates were his brother and he were back in that dump of a house.


And then, mercifully, high school ended. Graduation celebrations? Not a chance.

• The colour blue - preferably of a darker shade
  
• Soda - nearly his lifeblood
  
• Dark clothing - it suits him better and has a tendency to show off his defined build
  
• Beanies - to cover his messy mop of black hair, usually sweeping across his forehead and sometimes covering his hazel eyes
  
• Music - if not chatting someone up or around friends he usually has a pair of headphones and his phone blaring trance music into them

• Coca-Cola - as a die-hard Dr. Pepper fan, it's obvious why
  
• Entitled people - they don't see all the things they have in comparison to people like him

• Pressure - it tends to make him snappish and a bit distant towards most but synchronised and calm towards those who share the responsibility

His moods tend to shift extremely quickly, and the emotions associated with each mood tend to be powerful. He can be happy one moment and depressed the next without any warning, although he hides it very well.

Personality: An outgoing and optimistic person, Gavin is an avid book reader and an entrepreneur of chess. He holds his social life with great importance, and dedicates time to his family when he can. A geek for the retro, he spends a good deal of time collecting vintage matchbox cars and antique movie posters. He aspires to be an auto mechanic, doing many classes outside of standard schooling. He doesn't openly smile even when happy, simply not donating the energy to do so. As such, he can appear grim even in the best of times.


Bio: Raised by divorcée parents, Gavin grew up with a fond regard for both, as he wasn't used like a tool against either side like many. He led a stable childhood, getting the jaw scar from a vehicle accident around the age of 10. Until high school, he kept his friend circle limited, most of them online through collector blogs. When he started his freshman year, he began to expand his interests, taking up chess as a hobby. He quickly became engrossed in it, participating in state tournaments after a short while. As of now, he is in full custody of his father, after a court ruling when his mother landed a new job across the country. His father teaches him most of his knowledge about cars, and earns an income through an autoshop out of their garage. Gavin's father worries about him as Gavin has never begun a romantic relationship since his freshman year, leading him to believe he is a homosexual when, in fact, he is not. Gavin is unaware, however. He simply has a love for the vintage and cars that halts any other passion.
