Kerry

Kerry let the sweat trickle down her brow, too focused on avoiding the man's punches to wipe it away. The enemy liepard darted close to her, his arm heating up with a black energy as he forcefully swung his arm at her head. Kerry barely had anytime to react, but managed to swiftly jerk her head back, the black blade that materialised down the liepard's arm scratching her cheek, but otherwise missing her.

The liepard was wearing her down and he knew it- she needed to end this now. She began to secrete acid from her root-like hair strands once more. The liepard had dodged her previous attempts to nail him with the acid, so she'd have to stun him first. Kerry pretended to be too puffed out to launch an offensive, breathing heavily and going on the defensive. The liepard took the bait, darting in once more to finish the fight. As soon as he was close enough, Kerry suddenly flipped backwards, catching his chin with a hardened kick, he stumbled backwards, but it wasn't enough to topple him. Kerry straight up launched herself at him to finish the job, hitting him in the stomach and bringing him to the ground with a hard thump. To finish him, Kerry introduced her elbow to his gut, and he slumped. Victorious once more, Kerry stood up with a winning grin, and the spectators around the cage cheered and shouted.

And she didn't even have to use her acid.

Shannon

He was late. Shannon was late, and he knew it. It was likely his contact had left by now, assuming he wasn't coming. The girl had always been quick to back out when her instincts told her to, but this was one of the reasons why Shannon had employed the girl. She had a reasonable head on her shoulders, and knew when to get herself out of harms way. It were these sorts of things that promised you a long and rewarding life in Castelia's slums.

The job wasn't a very important one, just a secret 'rewording' of a mildly important and rather sickly man's will, but the pay was decent- more than the average inhabitant of the slums would make in months.

Making a quick decision, Shannon quickly turned left, walking down a narrow street he knew would get him to his destination quicker, though there was the risk of unknown dangers awaiting him. He steeled himself, before walking faster, still trying to maintain an air of confidence. There was an obvious stench to the place, Shannon wanted to be through with this and get out as quickly as he could.

Morgan

Letting out a series of puffs, Morgan quickly ran around piles and piles of garbage in order to seek out her prized possession. Not a moment later she appeared victoriously, a small rusty fork in her right hand.

"I found you at last Jazel.." She whispered to herself, before making her way out of the alleyway which she deemed as her own. A small bottle cap had rolled out from one of her large piles, which made her let out a disgruntled noise as she chased after it. Unbeknownst to her or the stranger she will intentionally harm, it was going to be a long day.

Hastur & Reina

A young gijinka girl shivered and pulled her knees closer to her chest. She hoped that Hastur would be back soon. Another strong gust of wind hit her face, this time throwing her green hood back and blowing around her white hair. She shivered and pulled her hood back up.

The sound of a door slamming made her turn, and sure enough it was Hastur returning. The Hydreigon gijinka tossed something in Reina's general direction.

"Food. Eat it."

She reached out and picked it up: a candy bar.

"Thank you," she said softly before tugging open the wrapper and taking small bites of the candy.

Hastur took a seat on the railing that ran around the edge of the roof to prevent people from accidentally falling off and leaned back. "Hehe, this place is so full! There's so many people to fight here."

Reina paused her eating and looked over at Hastur. "Did you fight someone and take their money again?"

"None of your damn business," he snapped at her, pulling himself back up.

She said nothing, just went back to eating her meal, but after a few moments her eyes started to glow softly. It was slight, but Hastur had definitely been in a fight recently. Tiny scratches and bruises appeared on her skin, resealing after a few seconds as her body quickly healed itself.

Though he definitely would have noticed her healing, the male gijinka just looked out over the city without saying anything. Reina shoved the rest of the bar into her mouth when Hastur gestured for her and held out his hand. She took it, and without even looking in her direction he threw her off the edge of the roof and into open air. She gasp in surprise and choked on the food in her mouth as she felt herself falling.

Hastur lept off the roof after her, catching up and landing on the roof of the neighboring building with a coughing Reina held in his arms. He let out an airy chuckle and jumped to the next closest roof as he made his way through the city. He'd stayed in one place for too long, it was time to move to another part of the city.

Flicker

The sound of glass shattering rang threw the otherwise quiet apartment and was followed by a gloved hand slithered threw the now broken window. Unlocking said window quickly Flicker soon slid into the apartment and after a quick check around got to business. He wasn't here to play. Silent as the wind he gracefully moved threw the apartment gathering anything he thought could be worth something or just because he liked it. He had cleaned out the living room, bathroom, and bedroom in quick succession before he dared to move upon his true goal.

The kitchen. Where the delicious food was held.

Sliding into the small room quickly the Gijinka didn't allow himself any time to enjoy the sight of a full kitchen before he began gathering what he could. He only had thirty minutes before the owner of the apartment came back from their jog, so he had to get what he needed and leave quickly.

Seven minutes later the Gijinka slipped back out the window and down the fire escape, his beg now full to the brim. A quick stop to a blackmarket pawnshop and his apartment and a satisfied Flicker was heading to a local diner his pockets now full of cash. Back at the apartment a policeman named Carson Phillips came back from his jog to find he had been robbed. No evidence was found of the perp.

Yuria

For Yuria the day was normal as always, though it was slow compared to how much business she used to do , but money was money and if things went well those luck charms she sold so many would elevate them to somewhere out of the slums and they would be so very grateful to her. Yuria shuffled her cards, a common divination method, after her last customer left his fate did not look good so he had of course bought a charm, or rather two. While one charm would have been enough to at least prevent some of the bad luck two was most likely overkill, but yuria didn’t mind the extra this wasn't a charity after all. Yuria quickly tossed out five of the cards in the correct formation for her fortune telling and slipped them over. She looked over the cards taking the meaning of each card alone and all together. The cards were interesting to say the least change was coming a big change a fate unavoidable, but what that fate was and if it was good or bad Yuria couldn't tell the cards weren't specific like that only that things would happen and they would be big for her. The last time she had gotten something like this she had been sent into the slums so such a reading was not exactly welcome but it couldn't be avoided.

'"Ah I wonder what fate will find me then " She said as she started to shuffle the cards again.

Kerry

Kerry strolled out of the darkened entrance to the fight rings, bag around her shoulder containing a drink bottle, a first aid kit she'd picked up awhile back from one of the many second-hand/salvage shops set up around the slums (it was nice to have it, even if she didn't really know how to use half of the stuff), and her prize money.

Being a gal of utmost self control, Kerry made a straight beeline to the nearby shopping district, grin plastered on her features. There was a real cool looking ooglie booglie type shop she'd seen on her last visit that she wanted to check out.

By the time she made it to the district, the sun was setting in the sky, just peeking over the buildings reminding her of that time some guy mooned her from behind a window. There were still a few people mulling about while Kerry searched for her fated store. She eventually spotted it across the street and hurried towards it. The door was closed and the glass was darkened- she couldn't make out if anyone was even in the store. "Helloooo!" She called, pressing her face to the window. "Anyone in dere?"

Shannon

Shannon hurried down the alleyway, arms crossed defensively in front of his chest as his eyes flickered this way and that. 'Calm down,' he thought hurriedly, 'how many times have you thought you're going to be robbed before nothing happens?'

He fished his phone out of his pocket, risking the reveal of such expensive technology since there was no one else around to see it, staring at its screen intently. Seventeen minutes left and no reception. Shannon let out a low, resounding sigh as he slipped it back into his pocket. Perhaps he should risk a few shadow sneaks? They did take a lot out of him, but if he were to use it, now was the time.

He froze in his musings, hearing a strange, metallic-like rolling sound, getting louder and louder. His eyes darted around the alleyway, trying to pinpoint the sound, heartbeat getting more frantic by the second- a small bottle cap rolled out from the darkness, coming to a halt as it laxly collided with his shoe. Shannon frowned, bending down to pick it up. He frowned as he examined it, holding it close to his face to he could get a good look at it without wearing his glasses. 'What on earth...?'

Yuria

Yuria had been about to close up chop and go about her night job for a few hours, then she heard someone come into her shop. It was times like this that she did curse the design of the shop some as she did the reading in the back room to keep it private but that also left the store front unseen by anyone including her. Still at least Yuria didn't have to walk around everything like others would instead it took only a second for her to turn on her natural ability to phase though things so she simply walked though her shop, far easier than she might if she were solid. This also meant she could walk through the glass of the window next to the one pressing their face into her window.

" I hope your planning on cleaning up after yourself." She said in a rather cold tone.

Kerry

"Oh, shit!" Kerry gasped, jumping back at the sudden appearance of the woman. A loosened brick in the pavement caught the heel of shoe, sending her falling to the ground and landing on her butt.

"Man, you freaked me da crap out!" Kerry exclaimed, staring at the sudden arrival with wide eyes before hoisting herself back up. She rubbed her sore rump absentmindedly as if it were her broken pride while she glared at the woman.

"Do you make a habit of doin' dat to your customers?" She accused, her good mood after winning all three of the day's matches beginning to fade away.

Yuria

" Only to those that press against my windows, or those that steal but you’re the former and not the latter " Yuria said her tone showing her amusement at the girl's fall.

While normally Yuria would send the girl away as it was her choice to close early or on time which she currently was but it was also her right to stay open late and with how the cards had fallen she was doubted the girl's appearance was just a random accident. Still it was a bit fast for things to move but it seemed the fate she could not escape intended to take her by coming fast, this would be interesting.

' Either way you were expected in a way please do come in " Yuria said opening her stores' door.

Morgan

Gasping in surprise at the sight before her, Morgan glared directly at the stranger whom stumbled across her precious bottle cap. Reacting awkwardly but quickly, Morgan snuck around in the shadows whilst purposely pushing over cans to scare her victim in an attempt to ward them off. Noticing he wasn't going to react, Morgan pouted slightly as she took nitwit his lovely shoes.

Seeing how entranced the stranger was to her bottle cap, made her feel rather curious yet furious as she stayed hidden under a nearby stair wear.
