Brief Bio:
To keep the story short and brief, Obsidian wasn't your average Gem. Before her, no one had even heard of an Obsidian or thought there would ever be one. But, after countless failed Gem shard experiments, she came to life. Her and one thousand nine hundred ninety-nine (1,999) others. Each and everyone of them popped out of the ground, give new life. From then on out, they would all be trained by the best of the best to BE the best of the best. But no amount of training could make up for their weakness. They were considered the lowest of the low, the dirtiest, impurest. They were outcast and forced to live in designated ghettos. The day of their relocatio, there was a small uprising that was quickly crushed. Five hundred Obsidians were shattered.
After that, the Obsidians went about their daily lives. Things were fine for over a hundred years before a particular Obsidian started yet another rebellion. They rallied their forces and attacked the diamonds directly and, despite being heavily outnumbered, they managed to shatter more than a few Gems on the opposing side. When the rebellion was over, all the Obsidian's that hadn't been shattered in the battle beforehand were shattered publicly. And with this, the Obsidian's were no more...
Or so the Gems on Homeworld thought.
The strongest of all the Obsidians, the main instigator of the uprising, was captured and taken prisoner. They were beaten into submission and forced to work as a one-man suicide squad for their Diamond. Sent on missions designated too dangerous for any other Gem, the surviving Obsidian grew more and more skillful, surpassing that of even the royal guard. Eventually, the Obsidian had fulfilled her usefulness, her Diamond only keeping her around to see what made her tick and how to make more of her.
She was sent on a final mission to Earth that was meant to end in her shattering. Her ship was purposely tampered with so that, upon entering Earth's atmosphere, it would fall apart and shatter her in the process. However, she survived the crash and went on to live on Earth with a human who witness her crash for two years. After awhile, though, the human's friends began to notice he no longer left his home and upon entering they found him dead along with a woman's corpse. The Gem was nowhere to be found. So, she lived out the rest of her days in solitude, staying as far away from the city as possible.
Personality:
Obsidian has been described as blunt and unloving, preferring to take the loner route as to avoid making and close relationships. She has obviously been hurt by someone in the past and has issues coming to trust those and lower her guard around them. She is stubborn and can be very aggressive and rash, her attitude turning most away from her. Being alone for so many years, Obsidian's social skills are less than impressive and she often has trouble getting her words out. She is very confident in her abilities but also very self-conscious about them as well, leading her to beat herself up after a loss of any sort.

Weapon:
Obsidian's weapon of choice is a large double bladed scythe dubbed the Pendulum, as it is similar in many ways to the torture device. The Pendulum is a very large and powerful weapon, being at least twice as tall as Obsidian herself. When she needs a lighter and more maneuverable weapon, Pendulum can split into two scythes just by pulling it apart. In terms of her powers, Obsidian has been shown to use a strange mix of Black and White lightning that carries the same traits as either. She holds the raw destructive power of Black lighting and the healing divine light of White lightning. She has shown herself capable of blending the two abilities and utilizing them individually. Using her electrokinetic abilities, Obsidian can:
+Augment her own damage output by supercharging her attacks with gigawatts of electricity.
+Heal the injured by using electricity by absorbing the electrons and using them to stimulate molecules, renewing damaged cells.
+Fire devastating beams of black electricity.
+FLLLLLY.
+Create devastating thunderstorms and use the lightning as a weapon or to enhance her own abilities.
+Cause explosions by gathering their energy up before expelling it in an explosive blast.
