New here, not to gaming

Hi to any interested in posting here. I was directed to this site by fellow RP friends, but have been a role-player and game masters for many years. I started RPGs as many my age with the 1st Dungeons and Dragons back in 1979. I have played board games like Avalon Hill, and I have some huge Warhammer-40K armies painted mostly. I also play many of the online tank games, planes, ships, I have played other role play games, sims, and computerized games. Now as disabled/retired, the games are more a mind saver for my mental health while I try to keep my physical health stable, LOL! I look forwards to interacting with others, Oh and I ran a 2yr Dark Heresy campaign, my style is have 5 halls for players, and if they decide to knock a hole through the wall, have a monster waiting behind the wall!

If you were playing D&D when it first came out in '79 then I am going to go ahead and suggest that you are the eldest person on this site. My memories of '79 are the dull, hazy memories of a newborn.

Unlike the Pirate code, they aren't more like suggestions but rules that we take a bit seriously. If, however, you've got a few pieces of eight you'd like to swing our way, we're always more than happy to take it. (I said, the rules weren't suggestions, never said we weren't piratey mate).

Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.

LOL< I was younger yet when Star Wars hit the Big Screen, and had been watching Star Trek original series when very young, then in re-runs! I admit to being 51yrs old. Rules are well written and I agree with them. Easy to find stuff if I have further questions. Good site!
