A thousand smiles won't hide the pain.


A thousand tears will only make it worse.


Keeping your head up is hard if you are broken on the inside.


Facing down won't help either.


Then what are you going to do if you can't look up and smile or down and cry?


In the deepest of ocean


light may shine through

I prick my finger to know I'm alive


I watch the stars to see how many left me behind


I stand on the edge of a cliff to feel death at my door


I'm in the hospital because I opened it

To see my blood come out and heal again


I sit in my car just going off into the sunset
