Biography: Jay was born on January 1, 1990 to Daniel and Caroline Stone. He was the youngest of four children; two brothers and a sister. But upon his birth, the family receives grave news. Jay was born with several heart defects that left him hospitalized for the first year of his life. When he was two, he had his first heart surgery. After the operation, he could leave the hospital, but he had to be in a wheelchair and on an oxygen tank because his heart was too weak to provide enough oxygen to his body. Jay stayed that way until he started middle school, at which time his health began to deteriorate once more. After a minor heart attack, his heart was left further damaged, and he was once again hospitalized. When he was eleven, he underwent another heart surgery. They put in a pace maker and prescribed him with a couple of medications to help.

After a month or so, his heart started healing and working more like it should. By the time he graduated eighth grade, he was able to do things he never could before. Strenuous activity is still prohibited, but he's able to do more now. Over the summer before ninth grade, Jay's grandfather died, so their family moved to Corvallis, Oregon, to care for their grandmother. Jay was ecstatic. Starting at a new school, in a new town, where no one knew him or anything about him. It was his first chance to be normal. Jay had always been joyful and happy, even when he was in the hospital or being carted around in a wheelchair. But in Corvallis, where he could start entirely anew, he was far more spirited and optimistic. During high school, he was the kid who sat in the front of the class with the "nerds" so they were comfortable. He was the guy who helped people with things they just couldn't do themselves. He was the boy people wanted hang out with because he was never negative and he stood up for what was right.

When he was nine, he discovered a passion for music and a talent for singing. As he grew, his talents grew with him. At ten, he discovered a talent and a passion for singing. When he was eleven, he made his first song. His dream grew from there, and he began making songs left and right, getting inspiration from artists like Martin Garrix and Alesso. When he was fifteen, he had his first public gig at a wedding reception for his older sister, Sierra. From there, he started working parties and cafes, working up to his lifelong dream. This path led him to attend UCLA, which had the best program for soundboard DJ-ing. Three days after graduation, Jay took off. After four years in college, he graduated top of his class at the age of twenty-two and signed with Spinnin' Records. Four years later, and he is now a famous musician with a heart of gold.
