Assembly Hall-Arrival day

The first day back for some and the first day in a New country for others. The assembly will be held to welcome the new students and be a mixer. The idea is so that the scholarship students and the Elite student will get to know each other. Head Master Richmand will be greeting the new arrivals along with some of the top of the elites.

Gracie walked into her new home for the next year. She looked up in amazement. This was a big deal for a small town girl. She was the first of her family to leave the United States. The person who picked her up from the airport was a teacher here. She told her to go to the assembly hall, and that her bags would be taken care of. As she followed the checkered pattern floors and the signs that pointed to the way to the assembly hall, she could hear voices getting closer. She looked up over the double wooden doors and there was sign hanging it read "Assembly Hall." With a few more steps, she took a deep breath and pushed open the wooden door. Here eyes widen at the amount of people who were already seated. The door had mad a big squeaking noise when she had opened it, So now everyone was looking at her. Her heart pounded in her chest.

"Name Please" She heard but found no face to match the sound. To her left she saw girl with a clip board. "Your Name please." The girl repeated. Her accent was definitely British. "oh! Me, Um I'm Gracie, a scholarship student." She stumbled out. "Ah, Gracie." The girl looked over her clip board and made a mark on the paper. "Follow me." Gracie followed the girl down to the front row where there was a seat with her last name written on it. She sat down in her seat and looked at the headmaster. She wanted to sink into her chair and disappear. She had never felt so many eyes on her before. She knew that this was going to be a long year.

Imogen sat quietly a couple rows ahead. This was her third year at Monroy, so the overly-grandiose beginning-of-the-year ceremony was nothing new to her. However, the presence of scholarship students was. Imogen didn't mind the idea of commoners being able to attend Monroy, she thought it was pretty amazing, actually. Everyone deserves the best education, and if she was in their shoes she'd want an opportunity like it too. However, some other elite students reaaally didn't appreciate the academy's "hand-out".

Practically everyone had turned to sneer at the scholarship student who had walked in late. The assembly would be starting soon so for the most part the room had been quiet, only the dull hum of hundreds of quiet conversations serving as white noise before the scholarship student cut through the chatter with a loud creak of the entrance doors. A couple girls around Imogen had snickered at her. Imogen just looked her over and turned back to the front.

"Ugh, can you believe they're letting commoners in now? This school is really lowering its standards. "One of the girls complained in a low voice, huddling close to her friend who was sitting next to her. She had long, strawberry blonde hair that was pulled back in a blue ribbon.
"I hope I don't get one as a roommate. I would be so embarrassed." The friend replied, her freckled face scrunched in disgust. "My dad doesn't pay thousands of dollars for me to be stuck in a dorm with some poor person who doesn't know Gucci from Prada. I mean come on."

Imogen sighed and cleared her throat loudly. The two girls stopped and turned to look at her.
"Could you two quiet down? The assembly is about to begin. " Imogen said, glancing at them. She only sounded a bit annoyed.

Strawberry girl rolled her eyes. "Cool it, Bianchi. We're just messing around. It really is... sweet of Monroy to help the needy."

Imogen was sort of known well around the halls of Monroy. Not to say she is popular or super well-known, but if people didn't know her last name from her charming older brother Marco who had come to Monroy before her... they definitely knew it from Attorney Vivian Johnson-Bianchi, divorce lawyer of the rich and sometimes even famous. If girls hadn’t been scorned by Marco in prior years, they definitely had a bone to pick with Imogen over her mom representing one of their parents in a high-class custody battle.

Imogen just shifted in her seat, her eyes focusing on the headmaster once again.

Cala

Cala laughed, covering her face with her hands. Branley Fisher sat beside her, snorting in a rather unladylike fashion. "Of course a scholarship would be late!" Branley whispered in her ear. Cala nodded, forcing down her smile as she studied the girl slinking down the aisle. "You know, I heard that the scholarships don't even family history," Branley went on. Cala turned her head, covering her mouth slightly as she answered. "They better not mess with us."

Cala slumped in her seat, twirling a strand of hair around her finger as she listened to the quite chatter of students. Her eyes flitted around, deftly picking out first years from returners. Branley bumped her arm, causing her attention to shift. "Over there," Branley whispered. Cala followed her pointed stare and met eyes with Adam Villafort, an Elite who had caught Cala's attention last year.

Adam raised an eyebrow at Cala before returning to his own conversation. Cala in turn bit her lip and turned back to Branley, who let out a small squeal of excitement. Cala just chuckled and returned to studying the student body. She picked out the scholarship student who had been late, narrowing her eyes as she took in the short blonde hair and blue eyes. Cala snorted to herself and leaned back in her seat. No scholarships are getting in my way.

Kevin sat towards the back of the assembly hall with some of the guys he hangs out with. With this being his final year at Monroy he intended to keep a low profile throughout the school year to ensure he had the easiest year possible. He didn't mind those on scholarships coming to the school, he actually thought it would be interesting to see how they interact with the other elites.

He listened to some of his friends talk about the new girl on scholarship, but decided not to stare at her because he didn't want to come off as rude or a creep. Also because he understood how big the school is and how easy it is for commoners to get lost in the halls. Instead, he sat in his seat scrolling on his phone waiting for the assembly to start.

Heidi stood in front of the large building that was Monroy Academy, looking up at the building in amazement. She could not believe she was here, more so she could not believe she was lucky enough to receive a scholarship to go here. Walking up to the door she took a deep breath before stepping into the her new school and home. She was extremely nervous as she made her way down the hall, not only because she was running late but also due to being in a different environment. Turning around the corner she spotted two girls standing by the doorway to the assembly hall.

Heidi smiled relieved that she found the assembly hall. Quickly making her way over she gave the girl with the clipboard her name. Soon she was walking down towards the front of the assembly hall were the other scholarship student sat. She lowered her head, trying to cover her face with her curly hair as she felt thousands of eyes staring at her. Finding her seat she quickly sat down, still feeling the glares of some of the surrounding students. She gently moved her head, peeking through her hair as she looked around at her surroundings. Though her attention soon was pulled towards the head master as he began his speech.

Jared made his way through the crowds of new and unfamiliar faces, he didn't properly understand why his mother wanted him to complete his last year of schooling in some boarding school, he had a band back home anyway that he was pretty set on turning into a real thing, the band name was Pencey Prep, and they had played a few gigs at some parties before, but he wanted to get known in the New Jersey scene so badly. In his opinion, he completely ripped on the bass, and he was pretty decent at singing, which didn't matter too much, as he wasn't the lead singer of the band.

His eyes scanned over the crowds of sleep deprived teenagers, and decided he should sit down before the principal gave her 'address' or whatever. (What did that mean? Was this lady gonna give all these kids her address? If that happened at his old school, they'd have to move the day after) He eventually settled for a place next to some blonde girls, he wasn't into them, but it was the closest seat to get to without going through like, twenty students just to sit down. Sucking on his lip ring, he made his way to the seat and sat down.
