The Rich One

They had everything growing up, anything they asked for they got. They got homeschooled by only the best but that also meant they had no friends. So they were packed off and sent to this school, somehow ending up with the only non-rich people in the school.

They were nervous and awkward around people, and maybe a little bit gullible due to not having many friends growing up. In an attempt to get them out of their shell they were sent to Yearwood and was promptly adopted by the rest of the group.

They didn't like fitting in, never did, everyone was always telling them what not to do. That made them want to do it even more, so they did. Their family sent them off to Yearwood, hoping that they could shove some sense into them.

Their mom signed them up for the scholarship program that allowed them to go to Yearwood. Class clown and normal teen, they really dont want to be around the snobby rich kids and just want to have fun while they still can.

Tilly has gone through many changes over a short period of time and she is still unlearning some of the negative lables she has placed on her self over the years. However, her mood is usually stable, she feels more confident in her own abilities and she is learning how to make and maintain friendships. She is a bubbly, excitable and spontaneous girl like she used to be as a young girl.

She does still seem overly sensitive, wearing her heart on her sleeve most of the time. She also still needs to watch her temper and her impulsive behaviours. Reasons for going to Yearwood: Yearwood has an excellent arts program, and she has recently gained some new found confidence in her academic ability since her diagnosis. She took a leap of faith and applied.

History:

Early life/relationship with parents

Tilly was the youngest of 2 kids, both girls. She grew up in America with her British father and American mother. They were not destitute but they weren’t wealthy either. Her mother worked as a janitor. Her past was full of addiction, gambling and incarceration(and undiagnosed ADHD) however Tilly never knew her that way. When she was born, her mother had been sober for 5 years, since she became pregnant with Tilly’s elder sister June. Her father was a trucker, so often he was away from the household. But despite all their challenges they were always a very tight knit family.

When Tilly was little she was a happy girl and all her teachers thought she was wonderful despite the fact that she was usually missing instructions or chatting to her classmate when the teacher was trying to speak. She was excitable about every new project she got to work on, and so her marks were usually good. She absolutely loved art and was always doodling in her textbooks. She could spend a whole Saturday doing an arts project, forgetting to eat, sleep or shower. She was going to be a prodigy one day with her works in an arts gallery. She didn't feel very smart, but she felt good at this.

When she begun high school her disturbance to the class became less tolerated by her teachers. She began to regress socially. Kids have a way of picking up on those things and Tilly began to get bullied. Tilly went from a vibrant and excitable girl to nearly non-verbal. She didn't ask her mum or dad for help. Instead she suffered in silence. Every time she would lose her temper, hand in work late, lose her favourite pair of sneakers it was just another personal failure. She started down a dangerous path, discovering energy drinks, alcohol and even her first sexual experience (which was unfortunately something she regretted). Luckily her arts teacher noticed the changes in her and reported it to her parents. This started her down the path of finally getting some help

Her parents took her to be evaluated for a mood disorder but she ended up being diagnosed with ADHD. She got in touch with a therapist, and through both medication and learning how her brain works, she got more confident in her abilities. She wanted a fresh start so she began applying for scholarship programs with schools that had a good arts program so that she could follow her dreams.

Other:
She owns a 5 year old Sphinx cat named Maggie. After she found out she was allergic to cat hair, she was pretty sad because she thought they were so cute, so one birthday her mum surprised her with a cat that didn’t make her sneeze

~*Past*~

History:
Not too exciting. Micah lived a pretty average life with a few close friends, though they tended to prefer spending their time indoors. They weren't actually diagnosed (besides the allergies) until they were fifteen but they now take some medication to help with their concentration and anxiety. Their father passed away a little under a year ago and Micah is still upset about it, especially as it draws closer to October 13th: their father's birthday as well as the anniversary of the day he died.
