Sure, they might see a spark in his eyes, maybe even a glimmer of cunning to match his beast in the ring. What they don't know is that there's a fire burning behind the scenes. Zachariah doesn't have the luxury to lose and still keep is monster—the Wayfarer Corps was never known for being sympathetic. He either needs to win or he'll be replaced, so what others would call reckless, he calls bold.

All members of the species are technically owned by the Wayfarer Company, who purchassed the moon's exploration rights along with owning most of the trading ports to the planet itself.

  Mod 1. Creatures from the Mutantur genus possesses a natural camouflage ability that allows them to change the texture and color of their skin to blend in with their surroundings. This ability has been improved in Meta Killer to the point that they can seemingly disappear completely and it's often proceeded by a bright flash of light to disorient opponents. The 'flash bang' effect is produced by small synthetic organs that appear like red nodes about the size of an orange; visible on Meta Killer's snout, tail, and chest and back.
  
  Mod 2. Mutantur possess something like the ability to induce rapid cell mutations in order to quickly adapt to their environment. For Meta Killer, this allows them to change the texture of their skin and the material covering it, transform the shape of their limbs, and to heal faster when injured. However they cannot grow and replace mass very quickly as they must feed on organic tissues to replace their own lost body parts. So while simple cuts can be healed in a few minutes, anything more than that is typically just sealed on the outside to prevent blood loss.
  
  
  Backstory: According to the media, Meta Killer was the local Boogeyman of its home world; a silent killer that terrorized fauna and humans alike. Fans of this 'monster' like to speculate on its origins, with a major split between those who believe it to be a new species and those who suspect its some kind of genetically engineered construct.

Personality: Usually egotistical, power hungry, and greedy when it comes to the business of kaiju and cryptid battles. He is somewhat a dictator in combat, and doesn't really show much care for his Kaiju partner. He also has trouble with girls who tend to be attracted to him, but Garreth isn't really successful at actually scoring a date. He also has an mysterious past, but doesn't like to bring it up. Outside of the battlefield, he has a lonely personality, and doesn't make much friends.
Backstory: An Kaiju battler who is the Head CEO of 'Interstellar Monster Coloseum', a company that creates new tech for catching and training monsters. He is
a strong fighter in many Kaiju tournaments, who tries to promote his company through his victories. He is partners with the Kaiju codenamed "Crimson Shadow", a void demon, and like he, it has a vicious personality in battle, yet also obedient to it's owner.

Void Demons also possess inherited powers of flight at Sonic speed, slow regeneration from damage, which takes at least five minutes to regrow a limb, or 30 seconds for a light cut, and a self defense ability from melee attacks, which is it's highly acidic skin, which resembles flames.

Electromagnetic Outer Layer Exoskeleton (EOLE) - A metallic outer skeleton with black rings on various parts of it's body, the EOLE grants high durability against melee attacks attacks, and reflects beam attacks back to their sender. It also has the ability to discharge red electricity from the entire body, which deals heavy damage that is non elemental in origin every five minutes.
Backstory: A creature Garreth had found months back, he had his people in the lab work on genetically strengthening his kaiju, giving it more powers and abilities to make the Ultimate 'King of the Monsters', a title that only the strongest kaiju could obtain. Using it in a few circuits, he was crowned the Victor in many of them, and so far, has not lost.

Backstory: A creature from the far reaches of Space, it was first spotted on the planet Orion, with a large population of humans. It wiped out all life there, but not before it's existence spread throughout the Galaxy through transmission. Anyone who was looking for a powerful creature to fight went to Orion to fight it. Many tried, none succeeded.

It was then, when words of this creature was spoken to Garreth Edwards. Garreth would try his hand at obtaining it, though he himself had no kaiju to use against it. He did however, seem to have a strange glove like device that, when he used it with his hand outstretched towards the beast, did it yield to him. Just what the glove does is a mystery.

Psyconnector Glove - This is a special device that enables the wearer to bond with any kaiju, if that person's feelings reach it. Garreth used the Psyconnector on Chaos Emperor, understanding the creatures desire to be the strongest kaiju alive, which aligned with his own goals of becoming the best Kaiju Battler. Through this glove, they both have a telepathic link, which they use to communicate.[/spoiler]

Wow. Okay, I have a few notes about this. Love the enthusiasm, but this submission reads a little too “4Kids Anime” while the RP is going for a more “SyFy Original Series” vibe.

Firstly, Edwards should have a planet of origin. You could go with a space station designation or maybe a Terra (Greek Letter) like me if he’s a descendant of the Terrans who came from Terra Prime (Earth). Everyone has to come from somewhere. Being a 19 year old Menagerie prodigy is a very cool idea but if he’s going to be doing the Kaiju Circuit, he should have a corporate sponsorship. I haven’t finished with that part of the Lore yet, so far I’ve come up with two plus the Wayfarer one Abyss came up with:

Blackstar Industrial, a corporation that specializes in shipping and handling of Kaiju. They design Kaiju transports and donate junked ships to impoverished planets that inevitably become Underground fight arenas.

Double Helix, a cloning lab that specializes in genetic engineering of Cryptids and Kaiju. They design and market luxury alien species using controlled evolution and gene splicing for wealthy people looking to get an edge in Menagerie.

You can also just make your own. A corporation headed by a kid would be pretty cool, like a cyberpunk Seto Kaiba.

The Kaiju is a bit much. It weighs 13 million tons but it’s fast enough to move at Mach 3, it has regeneration abilities, it can fly and it’s got acid skin along with it’s Mod which can survive nuclear weapons? That’s way overpowered. I would regulate those to be mods Chaos can have. Maybe Edwards bought/synthesized top of the line Kaiju mods like acid skin, cellular regeneration and gravitational control of itself. The exoskeleton can keep the electrical defense, but the nuclear resistance has to go. Corporations just use regular fire to destroy Kaiju when they lose them.

The backstory is pretty much on par with the over exaggeration of a professional entertainment industry backstory. Though I would maybe change it’s species from a “Demon” as this is a sci-fi roleplay, not a science fantasy. You could present it’s own genus and class like Abyss did for Meta Killer or just call it a Kaiju if it’s a result of genetic manipulation like Lugosi and the base has been bred too far. The glove is a pretty neat idea for a melding tool and definitely sounds like a marketing campaign came up with it. Maybe play it up as a children’s toy that Edwards is pushing as Menagerie merchandise and the reality is it’s just an overpriced glove that doesn’t actually control real Kaiju.

Just give it a few tweaks and it can be accepted.
