Sleepless Gamer
You hear the rustling of leaves as a faint breeze washes over you. You don't remember falling asleep outside, but the calming sensation of the quiet forest soothes you. As you lay there, your eyes closed, you can't help but think you're missing something. You think about what it could be, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't remember what it is. Perhaps it wasn't that important if you don't remember. You continue resting and after some time, you feel a sudden chill go down your spine. You listen closely, but you don't hear anything. No rustling leaves, no chirping from birds, not even in the distance. Then, suddenly, you hear a hushed, whispering voice speak to you. At first you don't know what it's saying, the voice is too quiet. You want to jolt awake, but for some reason your body is frozen in fear. Now you can hear the voice clearly, "Who are you?" "What are you?" "Kill." "Wake up." The voice sounds as if it's coming from all directions and from different sources, repeating those phrases randomly and increasing in volume until silence cuts the voice abruptly. "Do you remember?"
Time passes by, and the forest sounds return, but they don't comfort you after what you just experienced, whatever it was. Finally you manage to sit up and open your eyes and, as you do, you realize that you don't recognize this forest. You have no idea where you are, how you got there, or what that voice was. Despite your confusion, you can feel something disturbing all around you. You have to run, escape the voice. But where do you even start? Perhaps one of the others who woke up around you could help, if you can muster up the courage to trust any of them.
