Memoirs of The Culling: First Entry (Critique always welcome)

Good evening everyone.


I've decided to try a different approach to my story writing and decided I want to try it in a diary format. I've usually had a difficult time completing my novels, since I seem to run out of steam. And decided I'd do this entry by entry, on to a blog. That way, I could get peoples thoughts on the story and my writing along the way.

I will have a read over this when I wake up, but the first few paragraphs piqued my interest and that doesn't happen often.
