The Medusa Corporation had already been around before Augustine died. It'd been around before the DUP was even a concept anyone was willing to think about, although it operated under another name. It was originally known as Metaline Incorperated (Meta-Line), when the current inheritors father, Robert Morgan, was in power. Back then, the company was a legitimate business that mainly focused in the advancement of technlogy and robotics, as well as raising cell phone towers and some of the advancements in that area. That phone in your hand? Chances are the three to four bars you're getting out in the middle of nowhere are because of one of the many cell towers marked with a large, orange ML. Upon his fathers death at the hand of a Curden Cay escapee, the man's son, Keiran Morgan, took over the business and dropped all other projects before reshaping the company in his own image. His fathers original symbol was discarded and replaced with an image of the Greek mythical woman Medusa and the company began to blaze trail for an anti-conduit campaign, one that many smaller companies looking for a shot at the big leagues followed. Still, they continued to work in robotics and technology, although most of their creations are completely anti-conduit. They pour hundreds of thousands of dollars, millions even, in their research, often selling their creations to the military or the highest bidder. There has also been some speculation that the Medusa Corporation has monopolized illegal arms trafficking and is currently in the works of starting a prostitution ring, although this hasn't been proven.
