Warriors are elite heavy infantry that use heavy armor, round shields that cover most of their bodies and make them great counters to archers from the front, and either one handed or two handed axes, though with the latter they give up their shields. They also, through throwing axes, possess ranged capabilities. They are well trained and make the Empire a true powerful force. A band of 500 of them, known as the Emperor's Huscarls serve as the Emperor's main guard.


125,000 Nordic Archers

Nordic Archers are usually taken from the poorer classes of the Empire, they don't have as heavy armor or as expensive weapons. What they do have, is bows, and they are usually quite lackluster, rarely used to effect. Without heavy armor or shields, they need the support of Huscarls to be successful.


50,000 Nordic Cavalry:


Nordic Cavalry is a light cavalry force that is mainly used for scouting, screening, and flanking, and rarely sees action in raids, only coming out for field battles, which are remarkably rare for the Empire.


25,000 Nordic Knights:


Nordic Knights are the Empire's expensive Heavy Cavalry that, armed with lances and armored horses, only come out in their biggest battles, and also serve as the King's mobile guard.

The Nordic Economy is based on Raiding and internal trade. They barely trade at all with the outside world and most trade is conducted privately by Nordic Civilians.
