  • Hierarchy The Council of Vampires

The Council is a small group of selected vampires from all over the world. They either were part of Royalty or the Nobility. Once a vampire has taken their place as a Counsellor they have no claim left on their family name. This all to guarantee the impartiality of this group. They are responsible for the Vampire Laws and that it is maintained. They are the only ones powerful enough to punish a pureblood vampire, while not necessarily being from pureblood themselves. They are free to turn any human or halfblood upon their simple wish.

    Royalty

The Royalty are the Seven oldest Vampire families and only living Purebloods. Each family has their own territory. Within their territory they are allowed to make rules, as long as they don’t contradict the Vampire Laws, and are allowed to maintain them within their territory. Also are most pureblood families specialized in one power that goes beyond the normal vampire strengths. Only a pureblood can punish another pureblood. Purebloods are allowed to turn humans and half bloods, with the permission of the Council. (in most situation this permission is implicit).

    Nobility

These are the most loyal followers of the Royal family. Often they are granted certain rights, such as maintaining the rules, permission to turn half vampires and even permission to use the families powers (though in a weaker form). They are mostly in charge of the normal vampires, though they greatly respect their Purebloods.

    Vampires

These are the vampires that have serve the Nobility. They mostly try to live just like humans, not harming them. Respecting all rules of those above.

    Half vampires

These are the children born out of vampire-human relations or bitten humans. Though vampire-human relations are strictly forbidden by Law, the Council tends to only maintain this rule when it comes to Nobility and Royalty. Humans that are bitten (and injected with a bit of vampire saliva or blood) will change into half vampires, which is an almost natural progress. It will spike a fever for a day or two and then the half vampire can continue its normal life. It will have the heightened senses and night vision like any other vampire. Yet will not have the enhanced strength or speed. Also they will have a blood thirst, yet still be able to eat normal food. They might become a bit more sensitive to the sun than normal humans. All together they could still perfectly live as humans.

    Rogues

Completely at the end of the list are the Rogues. They have pledged no loyalty to any of the existing Royal families. Often they travel freely over the world. Only the Vampire Law counts for them. However the downside of their life is that they will not be defended by any other vampire if there is any trouble. Rogues will lose all claims to their former statute as soon as they declared rogue. Besides the death penalty this is one of the most severe punishment a Nobility or Royalty can receive.

    Vampire Law

    1. Thy shall keep thy abilities and advantaged secretive from humans.

    2. Thy shall not have any relationships with humans, besides business relationships

    3. Thy shall respect the hierarchy at all times

    4. Thy shall not kill each other, or start a war, without a decent reason.

4a. The only reasons for war would be damaging the name or reputation of the other.

    5. Thy shall not kill humans without a reason.

    6. The Council is free to remove, add or adjust any rule she seems fit.

    7. The Council shall be notified in any situation that is urgent enough it should be known by the Council.

    - Permission to change humans/half bloods

    The Changing

A human can become a full blood vampire in only one way. First he must obtain the state of half blood. This means a full blood vampire has to bite him and inject their genes into the blood stream. This will cause the human to spike a fever for a few days. After this not much will be changed. Half Vampire are automatically the responsibility of the vampire that changed them.

To become a full blood the half blood has to be drained of half his blood and then take the blood of Pureblood. Due to the vampire blood being aggressive it will attack and try to conquer the human blood inside the body. The change is often painful to the human and very risky. The fever can last from 4 days up to a whole month. Once changed the Changeling will be overcome with blood thirst, which is part of the pain. Only once that thirst is settle the Changeling will receive his or her status as full blood vampire by the first new moon. During their Changeling period they are complete responsibility of the Changing Vampire. Once full blood vampire they are their own responsibility. As a full blood vampire it is assumed they are fully away of the vampire hierarchy, society and Laws. The Changer will have to make sure that the Changeling has this knowledge , before starting the changing. During the Changing period the Changeling might go berserk. Once the Changeling is out of control it shall be immediately put to death by the Changer or anyone close enough.
