No one's ever seen a Shade in a very long time, and a Shade's true form has been lost to time.

Personality:
​

-Maxwell is a quiet, introverted person that hates crowds and loud noises. He's very guarded since he's essentially the last of his kind, and friends aren't usually made easily. Not to mention that he'll never be caught dead in his Shade Form. He's sort of afraid of what he is because not even he fully understands what he truly is.

Bio:
​

-Max has a very hard time remembering his childhood or anything before growing up in the care of a human family, just one girl and her parents. He's accepted that he was abandoned by his parent(s), now.
​

Racial Attributes:
​

-Ability to transform into Shade Form at any time, immediately.
​

-While in this form, Shades are basically intangible, smoky, shadowy figures with no discernible facial features except glowing purple eyes.

-In their normal form, Shades have no true blood, require no oxygen, nor food.
​

-Shades are much stronger and more active during the night, but are weaker during the day.
​

-A slight regenerative property is applied in heavy darkness.
​

-While in Shade Form, extremely bright lights can possibly kill a Shade.

-Shades have inherent Shadow and Smoke magic.
​

-Can open portals into a pocket dimension called the "Shadow Realm" in deep enough shadows, where distance is greatly shortened.

-Shades have almost impeccable night vision.
