Personality: Mataus finds most people very boring and not worth his time or energy, that is not to say he would not fight some one if they started it. He is the type of person that looks very tiered most of the time but is really full of energy and analyzes everything. Underneath his mask of boredom and lack of conviction lays an unquenchable thirst for power that drives Mataus to do ANYTHING , even killing his friends and family if he must. Mataus works hard to hide his killer instinct and manipulative nature, as it generally drives people away from him.
Bio: Mataus was born into an ancient line of humans called Bluevines, their blood was not red but blue hence the name. This line was not of anything special, no royal blood, no connection to magic, they were just old. Though his family was some what normal they drilled in Matuas's head to always look out for number one no mater what happens or who is involved. When he was young his father worked as a mercenary taking any job he could find. Most of the money his father made went straight to drink, this lead to a very drunk father coming home and beating his family. Mataus felt powerless, and that is what drove him to crave power. Before long Mataus was old enough to leave his house, and that he did without ever looking back.
He kept the lessons his father had taught him, never feel, pain is progress, and on and on they went. Life lessons where not the only thing that Mataus learned from his father, he also learned how to fight with typical weapons. But as he got older Mataus found that he did not like to use weapons that where typical, he decided to make his own weapons and came up with the ones he uses now. After doing some work as a mercenary Mataus decided to go off to find his own fortune after hearing about the Gems from a man he was killing. The man told Mataus about the Gems right before Mataus severed the mans head form his body
