Name:

Necro Chief

Year:
2nd Year

Mascot:

Necro Chief is one of a kind mascot; it is simultaneously one of the most unpopular mascots and also one of the most talked about mascots of its time. Majority of the people find its presence unnerving and not a lot of corporations want to endorse the voodoo doll mascot, except during Halloween or promotional events for horror movies. Necro Chief is said to be cursed and will bring misfortune upon anyone that crosses its path. It has numerous origin stories that are constantly circulated online and shared during sleepovers. Necro Chief is rumored to have a cult of its own. Necro Chief's cause is to promote the forbidden and forgotten dark arts of the astral plane.

Talents:

-> Intimidation: Necro Chief's creepiness makes it a formidable opponent.
-> Fashion sense: Necro Chief has a variety of patterns as depicted above, it doesn't wear the same pattern for too long.
-> Play dead: Necro Chief is a natural.

Weaknesses:
-> Intimidation: A lot of children find Necro Chief absolutely terrifying, plummeting its popularity.
-> Clumsy: Necro Chief's movements and multitasking abilities are awkward to say the least.
-> Pollen: Necro Chief is allergic to pollen.

Real Name: Nakamoto, Chiaki

Height: 5' 3"

Chiaki was a terminally ill child, she was bed bound in the hospital for most of her childhood and doesn't have many memories in an actual school setting. Her father was an artist and he would make comic strips of Chiaki as a do-gooder witch character in an alternative magical universe just to lift her spirits up. The comics meant a lot to her, she would look forward to them every visit; they instantly brighten her day and inspired her to keep fighting. Witch Chiaki, like every magical girl protagonist, had a sidekick: Necro Chief. She adored absolutely everything about this fictional world her father had created for her, so she made her very own Necro Chief, first as a stuff toy and then eventually as a mascot. Regardless of what the world thinks of Necro Chief, Chiaki thinks it's the most cutest, comfiest friend any child can have. Chiaki's a timid and sensitive girl with a really soft voice, she has a hard time taking a stance on anything because she doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Her personality gains a slight boost in confidence as Necro Chief but it's minimal. She strikes dramatic poses and acts how he would in her comics, but her actual personality often time overrides the character. Necro Chief comes off as meek and creepy as a result.

Name:
KurroKuro
Year:
Second Year Student
Mascot:
KurroKuro is a fairly marketable mascot, one that's popular among nearly any generation due to his silly speech patterns. The creator of the costume has chosen to remain anonymous, which leads children to believe that their most beloved hamster, mouse, bear creature to be made from magic. It was first unveiled when it had shown up to a child's birthday party, and since then has appeared at quite a few more. Supposedly, if you were to snuggle into his soft chest fur, then you would be whisked away to a world of splendor and joy. This is, of course, a baseless rumor spread around the children's birthday parties. Overall, the mascot has a high tolerance for people, which is ranked only second to the cuteness that it seems to possess unknowingly.
Talents:
  • Cute Voice: In an attempt to keep the true identity of their mascot safe, the creator of KurroKuro inserted a vocal translation mechanism. This mechanism translates what the wearer says into a variation of "Kuro's". A key to unlock the ultimate adorability.
  • Dexterous: Despite being a plush looking individual, KurroKuro is surprisingly agile and boasts one of the quickest reflexes/reaction times among the mascots.
  • Unnaturally Durable: Even with KurroKuro just being a mascot outfit, it is somehow durable enough to withstand hordes of rampant children. Off the record, it has supposedly stopped a stab from an adult woman wielding a knife- but you didn't hear that from me.
Weaknesses:
  • Voice Translation: Due to his translating mechanism those who don't speak the KurroKuro language are unable to understand him. So he can't ask for things or talk while in the outfit.
  • Lack of Phalanges: KurroKuro has a hard time holding small items.
  • Nose Booping: Usually a mascot wouldn't mind people messing around with them. But KurroKuro seems to have a rather big issue with having his nose poked, and gets annoyed when such a thing occurs.

Name:
Yuuta Akahosi
Nickname(s):
Yuu
赤星 勇太
Height:
5"10ft (177cm)
Personality/History:
The bulk of Yuuta's memories originate within his uncle's household, his mother and father had supposedly died in a car incident on the way to pick him up from a daycare center. He was quite young at the time, so all he could understand was the sadness that he felt from the event. The closest family member who could take him in was his uncle, an ex-military Sergeant who had been discharged after excessive ill-treatment of his squad. Due to this background, Yuuta was raised in a very militaresque environment. Scenarios of being trained in combat, or even undergoing endurance training that would threaten to break someone were reduced to everyday occurrences. His training forged him into an altruistic individual, one who lacked much sense of self-preservation, a strong resolve with lack of fear. In a way, Yuuta presents himself as semi-serious and courteous but doesn't seek to seem self-important.

He seems to have a surprising amount of empathy for others, which bleeds into a desire to be kind to others. This later spread to his masked appearance, KurroKuro, which was originally designed by his uncle as a prototype of military equipment. Yuuta had been the one entrusted to "Field Test" the gear, which involved strolling around the nearby area, testing out the voice modifier, testing the suits durability, and seeing if it appeared as inconspicuous. In the midst of testing it, and recording the results mentally, he had been approached by a group of children who had been enamored by the strange being. The mother of one of the children had approached soon after and asked for his appearance at a birthday party for her child. This was considered as another test run, and soon KurroKuro being a military project wasn't even an afterthought of the public's eye. Yuuta's empathetic nature, and overall kindness, bled through the mask of his costume and made for quite the charming icon. A hugely successful project overall.

TLDR: Yuuta's overall personality traits are- Altruistic, Lacking Self-Preservation (Reckless), Protective/Defensive, Intrepid (Fearless), Kind, Generous, Empathetic.

Name:
Aku-chan

Year:
1st Year

Mascot:
As befitting her name, Aku-chan is not your conventional mascot. While most other mascots tend to act cute, or at least what they think to be cute, Aku-chan is foulmouthed, crass, and violent. Despite this, people tend to find this endearing due to her short stature and cute costume design. This, of course, only makes her more angry and the cycle continues.

She generally finds work representing arcades, and has become fairly well known within that circle as, perhaps in keeping with her violent nature, she's incredibly skilled at fighting games. It is said that no one's beaten her, and the first to do so will get her to unveil her true identity. While this is a baseless rumor started by fans, there are a multitude of theories as to who's under the horned head of Aku-chan, and bets are made as to whose theory is right and who will be the one to dethrone her.

Talents:
-> Fearless: Aku-chan is too angry to feel scared

-> Brawler: Despite her looks, Aku-chan is very skilled in a fight both in and out of costume (though this isn't always helpful)

-> Cute: It's a universal truth that small things are cute, and her temper can even add to this (just don't say it to her face)

Weaknesses:
-> Temper: Aku-chan has a hot temper, and will go off on a moment's notice (especially when people mention her height)

-> Delinquent: Aku-chan has a healthy distain for authority, and is quick to butt heads with authority figures

-> Single Track Mind: Aku-chan is quick to disregard things she doesn't immediately understand, and will often just try to brute-force problems

Real Name:
Ueno Arisu

Height:
5'0"

Arisu never actually had designs to be a mascot, but stepped into the role when the arcade she frequented when she would play hooky threatened to go under. As a result, she doen't actually play a character when she dons the Aku-chan costume, instead just acting as she always does. Still, she's grown to, grudgingly, like the costume and, though she'll never admit it, even finds it to be quite cute. She works hard to maintain her tough girl, delinquent image but does harbor a secret love of ugly-cute things.

Application Name: Boidokyo (“VV in the Void”)

Year: 2nd

05623288-D377-48D4-9F97-4CE576F46B26.jpeg
Name: Miko Kasai
Height: 5’9”
Kasai is like the opposite side of her mascot’s coin. While VV spends most of her time reminding those who listen to her that they matter and are valid, Kasai just finds herself getting into shit because of how much she loves taking risks. Between the soothing voice and the need to do something “really fucking awesome”, it’s safe to say that you never know what to expect from Kasai. She always has something new up her sleeve, and she’s quite a sweetheart. Hope you don’t mind being dragged in for the fun!

Mascot:

A82522E4-AA7D-45F4-9C33-07FAE76CC1A1.png

VoidVoid, known as VV in most circles but as Boidokyo in Japan, is known as the oddly delightful mascot when you listen to her radio shows, podcasts, or even on YouTube. She tends to talk over light lofi beats that she makes herself, giving calming messages or affirmations about the self. She promotes therapy, and taking care of one’s self when they have to deal with mental, physical, or chronic illnesses. For a while, she didn’t show her face, and eventually someone drew her this as her persona and she ran with the idea; the creator constantly gets royalties for the “ingenious lookalike!”

Talents:
Hacker Mind; VV can make beats, but she’s also an excellent coder. She made her own website and hosts her radio show and streams on there, live three times a week for her show and twice a week for her streams.
Calm; Even when she’s in trouble, VV’s mind seems to calm even further, allowing her to think clearly.
Parkour Parkour; a hidden talent of VV. The girl loves doing flips and jumping around out of her costume. In it, it’s even funnier.

Weaknesses:
Watch Out for That Tree!; VV will do dumb things without thinking of the consequences.
Stubborn; VV does what she wants and has no impulse control.
Occult Lover to a Fault; VV could and would sell someone’s soul to Satan for one corn chip.
