Superheroes. Supervillains. Vigilantes. All terms one would normally associate with fiction, yes? That was true for hundreds of years. Tales of men and women with abilities inhuman brushed off as little more than stories told to excite the young. However, as the times begin to change, people began to see things. At first, they were small, easy to miss details. Did that man just disappear? It must be your imagination. Did she just light her cigarette with her fingers? You're dreaming.

It all came to a point when New York was attacked. Suddenly the rumors of The Incredible Hulk were turned into hard facts at the green behemoth slaughtered hordes of alien monsters. The might Thor ripped through the sky with his hammer cloaked in lightning, charging headfirst as his treacherous brother Loki. Captain America and Iron Man became the faces of justice across the world while Hawkeye and Black Widow worked in the shadows to keep the people safe.

Under the leadership of Nick Fury, these six individuals became the foundation of The Avengers. Heroes that would always be there to save the day. Yet, there was a consequence. Others with powers of their own began to grow brazen, making their appearance known to the modern world in a flash. No longer were the tales of fantastic heroes and terrifying villains mere stories.

Now, it is no less than fact.
