It has been a week since the Avengers left Earth to fight Thanos. Then all of the sudden all of the televisions in the world went blank.When a purple man appeared and said "Is this all you humans have to offer".Turning so the world could see the Avengers lying dead.


Nick Fury saw this from his helicarrier "Agent Hill call in the secondary Avengers",Nick ordered Maria nodded and started calling the necessary people. After a week when Maria called the secondary Avengers all the necessary people were there."Now I think you all know the reason why you were summoned here. Today you will train to defeat Thanos but for now you stay here and get to know each other so you have teamwork when the time comes"Nick Fury ordered leaving so the others can introduce themselves.

Ash sighed. She wasn't the best at making friends. "I'm supposed to be killing someone right now!" She snapped to no one special. She growled and her nails grew longer and became sharper. "No one wants to be near me either way.." She said, a miserable edge to her voice.

 

[IronDragon]

"Wow it looks like someone is grumpy today",Austin murmured."Anyways my name is Austin also known as Vanisher",Austin told his future team since no one else seemed to talk first beside Mrs. Grouchy over there.

 

[Snowfeather]

Ashley turned into her wolf and growled at Austin, but then turned human again. "Sorry about that, she can be a bit grouchy.." Ashley smiled. "I'm Ashley Starr, also known as... Winter Wolf." She reached out a hand to Austin, hoping he would shake it.

 

[IronDragon]

Austin shook her hand "Nice to meet you",Austin greeted nicely then let go of hand."So what is your names",Austin asked the rest of them.

Ashley smiled a bit and turned away from the crowd. She reached into her pocket and brought out a blade knife. She played with it, throwing it high in the air, and then catching it by the blade between her fingers.

Peter Parker, in full Spider-Man getup, leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. Of course he knew why he was here. Earth's mightiest heroes have fallen; the Avengers needed avengers. He tilted his head up as he let out a sigh. He really wanted to meet Captain America but that would have to wait till the afterlife.


"So what are your names?" The sound of conversation jolted Peter out of his thoughts. He looked over at the group of young supers "I guess you haven't heard J.J.'s flattering reviews about me," Spider-Man said sarcastically. He knew J. Jonah Jameson would have tried to blame him for the Avengers' death if it wasn't for the purple man that identified himself as Thanos. "I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man," he added with a thumbs up pointing at himself.

Ashley hadn't noticed Spider-man until now and blushed. Before she had become Winter Wolf, when he first became Spider-Man, she had a huge crush on him, which she still thought was super embarrassing...

The brunette watched as Fury exited the room. It had been weeks since anyone had seen or even heard from their superior Avengers. They were most likely dead by now, and it was this team's turn to stand up to the challenge. Her blue eyes scanned each and everyone of the people who stood in the room. This is the best they can do? She sighed and turned to look at one of the girls.


Florence watched the she gawked at Peter. It was almost too much to watch. Her gaze was so revealing, Great. Now we're going to have a lovesick puppy join us too. Fuuunn. The brunette wanted to snicker at her own comments. Even though, it was so annoying already.


Flora decided to speak up and introduce herself, since they'd most likely be dying together. "My name is Florence is anyone was wondering." She lifted a hand and gave a slight wave. Her pink lips curled into a forced smile, one that was given to be polite. Her sort of deeper voice still lingered with a french accent as she spoke.

 

[CAP Ireland]

``Right, well, I'm CAP Ireland. Nice to meet you all.''


This is futile.


Shhh, you're ruining my moment.


``So, are we deciding on the field leader or do we leave that to Fury?''


OMG, I get to refer to Nick Fury as Fury now.


Yes, well done, you now sound like a teenage girl.

Her sapphire orbs shifted to the one who called himself CAP Ireland. His question was sensible, showing that he was somewhat capable of being intelligent. "Well, to my understanding, Fury is going to be assigning each of us some kind of position. It's not clear yet who will be the leader..." Her eyes trailed the room again as she though of any of them as a possible leader. Oh, God help us. None of these people look capable of blowing their own nose.

Elizabeth crossed her arms and smiled. If she was going to work with these people then she wanted to make a good impression and at least befriend them. She was still wearing the costume since she didn't trust the people in the room well enough to reveal her identity but trust was one thing she was going to need if she didn't want to die like the Avengers or disappear. She liked to think that they were still alive since she always liked to see the cup half full but their odds of survival were really bad. "Well, I'm Energy" she said as she scanned her room and then looked at Florence. "I think it will take time to earn the positions since we just got here"

 

[CAP Ireland]

''Well then, who's up for a little competition? Rules are simple: nothing dangerous, just the most impressive thing you can do that, again, is not dangerous.''


CAP looked at the orbs floating around him and went to poke it.


Don't.


Fine.


''So, who's up for that?''

Flora crossed her arms over her chest and looked at CAP. Is this idiot being serious? Since when can a couple of heros have a competition without it getting out of hand? Never. For a minute she remained quiet, but after a bit spoke up. "A challenge? Oui, that sounds somewhat fun." Although this was childish, and somewhat stupid she didn't want to seem like she didn't like to have fun, because she loved to make trouble.

Vanisher turned his attention over to the one called CAP Ireland."What type of competition are we talking about here",Vanisher asked CAP. We shouldn't be having a competition to see who is leader he thought getting a little unsure of the idea of having a competition on a flying vessel.

 

[CAP Ireland]

''Simple really, just do something. It lets us see what the others can do and who are the the powerhouses of the group. We should know who can do what. For example...''


Amon, what would be an impressive form?

They turned, the coat and flesh melding, molded into a new form *attached*.


''Just a little change.'' He lifted the sword from his shoulder.


''I can change anything into anything. Well, not living things, and the bigger the object the longer it takes, but thats about it.


That and magical manipulation.


...we need some secrets.


So much for that little teamwork speech.

"That's impressive but can you do this",Vanisher told him teleporting right behind CAP."But you do know that the leader needs to know how to lead a team and be powerful",Vanisher explained.

 

[CAP Ireland]

''Oh contraire.'' CAP turned to face Vanisher. As he did so his form changed again, this time into none other than that of Captain America with his shield in hand.


''Captain America is hardly the most powerful Avenger, but he is the best man to lead them. A leader has to know his team. Their weaknesses and their strengths. That's what I'm trying to get everyone to do now. I mean, he wouldn't send Hawkeye to take out Loki, would he?''

 

[Valorie]

The brunette watched the two males and rolled her eyes. Although for a second, seeing CAP take the form of Steve made her heart ache a bit. A swallow that she felt could be heard from everyone. "I think Vanisher's right. No matter how many things you can change into, a leader can't be chose by a silly competition. Even if you can morph into one of the late Avengers, you are not them." There was a moment in which she stood quiet, contemplating what she would do to demonstrate her own abilities. "And I'm sure there are abilities none of us would share because we want to keep them a secret, so this doesn't really seem like a great idea."

 

[CAP Ireland]

''True.'' Christopher reverted to his natural form ''This wasn't about being the leader thought, just thought we could all cheer up a bit, y'know?


And their not dead, I'm sure of it. For god's sake, they're the Avengers, they always come back. I'm here to hold the line until they do.''


Christopher scanned the room looking for someone who seemed fun.


He pointed at Catalyst.


''Hey. Wanna show us what you can do?''

 

[Apollo]

Carol Danvers rushed into the where the new team was at. She was dressed in her hero costume since she had just returned from a mission. "Hey." She greeted the team as soon as she walked in. "Alright everyone, I'll need your attention please?" She asked, calling for everyone.


Brianna was one of the quieter people here, since she had just met everyone. As soon as Captain Marvel entered the room and asked for everyone's attention, the blonde turned to face the SHIELD agent.

Ashley turned to the SHIELD agent and muttered something.

 

[Apollo]

The faced everyone, her blue eyes scanning the expressions of everyone here. "So you're the ones he called in?" She spoke softly to herself. Carol pondered on what exactly to tell everyone and how to break it to them. "I'll just start off with introducing myself. I'm Captain Marvel. I don't expect all of you to know who I am, but I do expect for you to view me as your leader until I decide who gets this role." She started off telling them. "As you all know, SHIELD has called you into today for a very important reason. You all should know why, but in case you forgot, I'll go ahead and tell you. Thanos, a murderous alien with extreme power, has....killed....the founding members of the Avengers and is now on his way to earth. Even though the greats are gone, earth still needs someone to protect her. Fury and the rest of SHIELD has called the best heroes we could find to take the role for the Avengers."
