WATCH THE THRONE

Wynda
Corwald, Arena Town of the Imperos Province

Fridith and Eydis, two Resistance messengers deliver more bad news to the squad. The Resistance was planning a surprise attack on Corwald, a city known for its grand arena in Imperos. Since the fall of Imperos, it has been occupied by dickish Tarosian hired mercenaries. Word of the surprise attack got out thanks to Taros's guild of ninjas, The Eyes and The Ears. Many Resistance members were captured, including Rakhill's uncle Melo and a prominent Resistance leader: Uryva the Second Son of Eska.

When the group arrives in Corwald, they're tasked with capturing the small castle from the mercenaries to rescue the Resistance members and end the chaotic rule of the cutthroats in Corwald.

Upon victory, the group finds only Melo and a few other weakened Resistance soldiers. Melo reveals that Commander IX of the Tarosian military arrived to transport Uryva to Castle Sagarus, the capital of Imperos, to be publicly executed as a show of force against the Resistance.

CHAPTER 1

PLAYER PHASE

Orpheus, Knight

Cell: F14

Finding these foreign royals was no walk in the park for Orpheus. First, they'd managed to get quite far from Juno, and it felt like an endless march searching the countryside for news of their whereabouts. Such news came in the form of rumors from civilians, some of which lead many a squad on a wild goose chase. Orpheus's squad ended up being the lucky ones to spot the group just as they were beginning to cross Fortune Bridge. To Orpheus, this whole "capture the foreigners" mission was over. Even if they managed to escape them somehow, Fornith was occupied by Tarosian forces anyway. Their presence wasn't that heavy on the island because Fornith had been among the first Wyndan territories to fall once the war began and the majority of the army continued to press deeper on into the snowy land. Nonetheless, if this "Assembly" escaped Orpheus here...they would simply become someone else's problem, and he was more than okay with that.

Out of breath and panting, sore from wearing his heavy ass armor pretty much all damn day, Orpheus lackadaisically told his troops, "Just don't kill anyone...who looks... important," before sending them ahead with the promise, "Don't worry...I'll catch up...in just a few...minutes..." And as the Lancers lead the charge forward, Orpheus took a seat on the end of the bridge to rest for moment.

Welp. Sucks for them! That was the only thought Hayden had once the Tarosians had finally caught up with the Assembly. Personally, he'd been having a decent enough time with them. Each of the royals had their own little quirks that were annoying at times, but not as insufferable as he'd initially thought they'd be. Then again, he wasn't working directly for them and could care less what happened to any of them. Their guards and servants were all about protecting and caring for their assigned royal, so Hayden had ended up being the black sheep of the group. Still, It was fun while it lasted...buuuut it's time I high tail it out of here~ Hayden smiled cheerfully and, going unnoticed as usual, slipped away as the others put themselves into battle formation.

Hayden was whistling a jaunty little tune and opening his Satrellian map to note which sites he'd be seeing first before he got to the big kahuna: Haljorn. The fabled race of Ice Dragons that lived there was a tale he'd fantasized about ever since he'd heard it in prison. The giant mountain was circled in ink with an excited happy face next to it. You know, one of these " :D ". Then, before he could get too far from the Assembly, a blonde haired man bumped into him, toppling both men to the ground.

"BLAST! YOU FOOL!" the man shouted as he scrambled to stand to his feet. Hayden politely rubbed the back of his head and passively apologized. "Sorry, I guess I wasn't loo--" The man hastily collected Hayden's map, leaving a similar looking rolled scroll on the ground near Hayden.

"I have NO time for YOU peasant! Those filthy rebels are after our supply carriage routes! I need to return to base AT ONCE to report their presence in FORNITH!" Hayden looked back toward the Assembly and recalled all that a few of the civilians managed to tell them about the Wyndan Resistance. He turned back to the man before standing on his feet and dusting himself off.

"Yeah sure whatever, can I get my map back pl--"

"WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE BRIDGE!!? WH-WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!? A-ARE YOU..." the blonde man gasped before scurrying away screaming "R-REBEL FOOLS! YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO READ THOSE ROUTES! NEVER!"

"H-hey, you got it all wrong, we're not rebels!" Hayden called after the frantic blonde and knelt down to pick up his "oh-so important" document. Upon opening it up a shadow flew over his head, and he looked up to see a magnificent wyvern pursuing the blonde. "Hmm..." Hayden "studied" the document, which was written in Tarosian military code. No doubt impossible to read without a translator.

Just then, Ava caught up with the Explorer. Hayden could hear the sound of multiple horses trotting towards him and he rolled his eyes as he heard Ava's posh tone calling for him. "Yoohoo! Hayden! Just where are you off to, then?! You wouldn't happen to be deserting us, now would you?" Hayden turned to the woman with a cheeky smile.

"Actually, that's exactly what I was doing 'till some guy stole my map~!"

Ava's face twisted into shock and disgust as she sputtered, "Y-Y-You lost your map!?"

"...I didn't lose it...some guy stole it. There's a difference, you know."

Ava's knuckles became white as she clenched the reigns of the carriage and her face red with anger. "I know damn well there's a difference the important bit is that you no longer have it! And what's all of this about des--Hayden! Wh-who are those men approaching!?" Ava cowered under her driver's seat as an elf and a young archer joined them. Hayden put two and two together and figured they were with the wyvern rider that flew overhead not too long ago.

"Oh, hi there! You guys must be looking for this?" he flashed them the document and extended it toward the elf, secretly hoping he'd get some gold or at least a high five for helping them out. "The guy you're looking for ran off that way. He actually has something of mine so if you don't mind I'd like to come with~!"

The Tarosians had caught up to them already. It didn't take very long, and within a few minutes, a fight would approach. But Rose was still very much in denial. They wouldn't want to hurt us... right? The maiden didn't even like being in the presence of such intimidating soldiers, so for a majority of the journey, she had travelled alongside Lamont. This time she would have to quickly run to grab some toxins she had left on the carriage. "My lord..." Rose gently touched his shoulder. "I have a feeling it would be beneficial to go back to the carriage to retrieve those toxins I had misplaced." She gave him an apologetic smile as she quietly slid away from his sight. Rosa, like the quiet maiden she was, gave a polite nod to Ava as her carriage stopped. The petite woman didn't like to concern herself with problems that didn't directly involve her, so she didn't question whether or not Hayden would be betraying them. Surely, Ava knew that Rose wouldn't have the heart to do anything that would harm her or the carriage, so she swiftly opened the door.

Rosalia was met with boxes of storage as well as some extra space for where people would be healing themselves. "Now... where did I put those herbs, wasn't the rosemary here just a second ago...?" She spoke to herself rather absentmindedly. "My lord will surely die if I don't find them... Oh gods, what if he has already gotten hurt?!" It was no use fighting or keeping him out of danger when the Tarosi had already caught up to them. If any of those frightening soldiers captured her, Rose wouldn't know what to do... It could be safer to just stay in here and heal people, she thought. The maid walked towards the back of the carriage where most of the large boxes appeared to be. I must clean this later... Ava just stacks them rather haphazardly when they aren't displayed for sale! Rose lifted one of the bigger boxes, carrying all those trays of food and cleaning supplies had given her some hidden muscle as she gently set the box down.

The faces of the two young children stared up at her. Rose was taken aback, her kind green eyes widened like saucers. Instead of fear, the maid's heart melted in pity. How long had these children been in the carriage? At first, the silence was rather awkward as Rosa let the situation set in. "Oh, you poor things! You must be lost... how long as it been since you've eaten?!" Rose was worried for the poor children, not realizing that those children could hurt her. The maid extended her hand out for both of the children in the pile of boxes.

"Hurry up, slowpokes!" Aaryn shouted over to the famed elven tactition, walking a few meters behind her. She was already flying at the slowest speed Bronwyn would fly without just walking. The Tarosian soldiers were after them and was tasked with either knocking him out or capturing him being one of the very few flyers had it's unique perks and weaknesses alike. "Not everyone has a white dragon at their command." Vyn stated rather bluntly, looking at Rakhill. The tactition was already quite tired from running after a wyvern that was already much too fast for him. In addition, Aaryn was already much faster than him by herself due to the excess physical training she subject herself to. So the elf stopped briefly to catch his breath.

3-9_sl7udws.jpg
"Sometimes I forget." The wyvern knight replied with a confident smirk. Edvyn sighed. "Rakhill, get your bow ready in case someone decides to attack. Uryva isn't here yet, so we're low on numbers for now." He groomed his platinum blonde hair back to it's normal position. It was weird, seeing over the past few years he was comfortable enough to call the famous leader of the resistance by his first name. Seeing as this was her code to leave, Aaryn quickly flew away in the thief's direction.

"Oh, hi there! You guys must be looking for this?"
Hayden flashed them the document and extended it toward the elf. Eyeing it, his predictions were correct. "Military code..." Vyn stared at the document blankly. As his emerald eyes made contact with Hayden's, he simply nodded. He wasn't good at thanking someone, so the elf disappointed Hayden without even realizing it. "Thank you, stranger." He was about to take it and leave before Hayden had asked to join. He would need an extra hand or two to help capture Mercury. "The guy you're looking for ran off that way. He actually has something of mine so if you don't mind I'd like to come with~!" Military documents were rather useless when you didn't have a captive (like maybe Mercury, hint hint nudge nudge), but for future reference, the elf took the document and hid it away. "Hmm... I suppose you can tag along." Vyn shrugged. His gut feeling told him that even though he didn't seem like a trustworthy person, Edvyn could still see the utility in the too-happy man.

Meanwhile Aaryn had finally caught up to the man as Vyn was preoccupied with the explorer. The mighty white wyvern stopped and snarled at the thief. "I was going easy on you, but he seemed to have lost his patience, isn't that right, buddy?~" Aaryn said in a rather malicious tone, gently petting the wyvern's neck. "Surrender now or receive the most hideous scar of your life." She intimidated him, as the wyvern knight held her large axe rather protectively.

"My word, this is just a fine mess isn't it?" Lamont sighed as he stared across the way, giving a small wave to Rosa as a way of saying "Go right ahead." From what it seemed, their dear guide, whom was attempting to leave them not a moment before, little shit. Regardless, they had a new problem to deal with, from what he heard... the map was just stolen by that man there, the weaselly looking thief, now the problem was... Could he simply blast the man to small pieces? No, that might destroy the map.. no.. this required finesse... Though the woman atop of the wyvern seemed to be on top of that, so best he put it at the back of his mind.

"Ladies and gentlemen it seems we have been found by our would be captors, with taros' attempts to slay us obvious, we should know our due course. Show them no mercy, for they harbor none for us, if they mean to make war with neth, let us show them their folly! To arms!" he shouted to the others, reminding them of the past deeds of these Tarosians against their lives.

"Do as you must Alecks, I shall remain in the midst of our group, I fear I may not be cut of the same cloth as warrior types, but I shall support you as I can. i fear i am more suited to blasting foes then healing allies, Rosa shall help you should you be harmed... but do not put yourself in needless danger." he warned his bodyguard as he moved backwards to the back of the group to remain far from anything that might end his time on the world.

Oddly enough ending up nearby Hayden.

"Oh, sorry Hayden didn't see you there, leaving so soon i hear?"Lamont asked the man with a kindly expression, hoping he might just reconsider leaving them should he give the man a few good words. "An awful shame if you would, i was hoping you could tell me about your travels over some hot tea and perhaps some of Rosa's absolutely wondrous sugar cookies, You have not lived until you have eaten one I assure you." he added in, the man was a cheery one, perhaps a promise of cookies and talk of his adventures might sway him? of course, that meant he had to listen to Hayden for an hour or so... but they knew nothing of this land...

Mordimort was listening in on the surrounding talk for awhile now, occasionally looking towards Era to check if he was still alright, which he always was... but she couldn't help but worry for her new cute little friend, like having found a puppy on the street, she couldn't help but fawn over him... plus he was so cute~! in a little brother type of way of course, goodness she wouldn't go that far for a young man she just met, she had standards to meet! oh yes, a long list of standards, and would not back down from a single one she'd assures you.

"I think... theres something going on outside." Mordimort stated to her friend in a hushed whisper that seemed almost unnatural for her to be able to do; considering her usual volume. She sighed and sat back down hoping the battle wouldn't come their way, Ava has been kind enough to let them stay within here for a time, bless her soul, but she'd rather not have to fight so soon... What had she gotten herself into... this place was supposed to be filled with adventure! Not hiding in a wagon! not feeling hungry and tired and sleepy and so, so very ANGRY!

She felt like she could just explode with being stuck inside this wagon for so long, these Barosian(yep) creeps ruined everything! Even her promise of sweets, how could they do this to a poor girl like her? Damn them to hell and hereafter!

Wait...

What was that...

Somebody was coming..

that wasn't Ava... no... oh NO!

What could she do? What should she do?

Oh gods oh gods oh gods oh GODS!

in a blind flurry of confusion and pent up rage being left sitting in a wagon, mordimort threw herself at Rosa in a blind tackle, launching the two out of the wagon and into the ground below as Mordimort made attempts to grapple Rosa to the ground that resembled a blanket thrown over a small dog.

Well this is unfortunate. Literally everything about this trip had misfortune in it so far... they had a grueling ride over to this new world and though Zakai usually didn't mind boats being cooped up on one for so long was hard. But they had made it, and he was ready to be welcomed and possibly get a little pampering and some mild adventures in meeting people but now no... they were on the run for their lives. Zakai had thought adventure was what he had wanted... a use for his bow... but he was finding that this life wasn't the life of glamour he had been looking for and forward to. He was just entirely not impressed being on the run for his life. Their boat was burnt down and it just... it all around was a bad situation.

If he had been a little moody well people couldn't blame him. The only bright side was that Vilhelmina was still a decent companion and Ava was the same Ava had always been. On Zakai's mind wasn't only the need to get back home, but that this meant a war with a whole nation. This entire continent was going to try and come down on them... because certainly his home wouldn't be sending any more envoys of peace. Zakai wasn't sure if he wanted to shoot the rulers or if he just wanted to run home to safety... Well... running home would prove to Ed that archery is cowardry and we can't have that....

"Vilhelmina... I think we've got trouble." Zakai said as he spied some activity at the bridge. "Are you ready for action? It might be time to show this little group of ours just why I chose you for my bodyguard." He said, wanting to enforce that there really was more to his choice then what there seemed to be.

This was lovely... a chance to put his muscles to use. Al had, of course, been keeping an eye out for attackers for Diana's sake. Making sure she remained safe was of course his top priority. And this new situation they found themselves in with everyone after them meant that Al really had his work cut out for him. That was okay... he had dealt with war before, he could handle it again. There was no one who would be laying a finger on Diana. Not when Grieves and he were on the case.

"Looks like we have company, lass." Al said, his sad excuse for an axe already in hand and ready to go as he spoke to Lord Diana. It had been a terrible loss for him to lose his axe but there was only so much that can be saved during an attack. Alexander was just glad they had made it away from the boat alive, and with a guide no less. A man who had been here before... with that guy around surely they would be able to solve this situation they found themselves in.

"Are you ready for another battle?" He added, no full well she couldn't just cower behind him. He also wasn't going to let her into the thick of the fray, either.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_03/NewWorld_Era.jpe.7d4e1a720d9de4bb05e84c0c533c9a1b.jpe" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="109322" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_03/NewWorld_Era.jpe.7d4e1a720d9de4bb05e84c0c533c9a1b.jpe" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p> Era - ....? @Orikanyo @theglassangel

Era felt her home as of late shift all of a sudden and actually moved to cling to Mordi uncertainly before peering up at a pair of soft green eyes and a seemingly friendly face. The expression on the woman turned to shock... and then that friendly aura returned and she smiled kindly at them. Era wasn't sure whether to trust this person or not, but they did at least release Mordimort. Possibly the wrong move because the next moment Mordimort was springing at the woman, effectively knocking the box out of her arms and onto the ground which had Era's head spinning crazily. As she got herself out of the box, Mordimort's voice of that she had the pest right where she wanted her had Era moving close to the woman and Mordimort uncertainly.

Instincts told her to run and hide, but her odd kinship to Mordimort made it so she didn't want her friend to get hurt. Perhaps Mordi sensed evil in the woman that Era hadn't. Era certainly wasn't going to brag about abilities that they didn't have... she wasn't magic at reading people. Gazing at where Mordimort had the lady pinned to the ground Era observed and assessed the situation. The woman wasn't wearing armor, nor did she have any weapons on her. She looked to have the build of an above average maid (a maid who went above and beyond).

Reaching out, Era gently touched Mordimort's shoulder and shook her head. This woman was of no danger to them outside of turning them over to the rest of the convoy and well... it was too late to turn that around now. Sure, Era and Mordimort could kill the woman to keep her quiet but in killing her they'd be making their presence known as well because they'd know that something must have happened because the woman would be dead. And she looked to be a very kind woman... sweet and she had even seemed ready to lend a hand to help Era and Mordimort. So... perhaps it would be better for Mordimort to release her. They had had their run, after all.. perhaps the woman would be merciful to them... or perhaps she and Mordi could escape together. At any rate, she had her hand on Mordi's shoulder and if Mordi deigned to look at her, Era would shake her head no... because this wasn't the right way to react. "Brave Mordimort." Era murmured, because she was very impressed with how brave Mordimort had been.

“Don't these people ever give up?” Diana sighed when first she saw the nearing enemy troops.

Diana had been hoping to stay out of more armed conflict, but relentless as their pursuers had been in their task to find The Assembly it sure had seemed but inevitable. And here it was now, their next battle against the (now certain) enemy Taros. When her bodyguard asked if she was ready for it or not she really wanted to scream in panic. Sure, she had been taught many a way to fend for herself, but since she lived a protected life and had a bodyguard, most of her lessons had never been put to any good use in reality. This all made her little bit worried about what was about to come. But even if her inside struggled to make sense of whether she was ready for a battle or not, her outside sported a facade full of confidence.

Alexander, I know what you can do on the battlefield, and I count on you outperforming my expectations of you. Grieves is certainly just as capable from what I can tell.” She said, and looked at her bodyguard and then her butler. She offered both of them a serious face and her eyes was full of determination, just the way she used to look when she partook in a heated political debate (which was quite a more common setting to find Diana in than on an actual battlefield).

As for me, I feel quite safe with the two of you by my side. So I am certainly ready to do my part.” From the inside her coat she drew her weapon of choice; two daggers by the name of Mist and Haze. Holding them in her hands made it feel a tad better, as if she knew what to do. But she was by no means ready...

Rakhill kept as fast a pace as he could possibly manage without completely losing his breath, but he still had a hard time keeping up with the white wyvern that soared several meters above. When comments were made by its rider, Rakhill couldn’t but answer back in his ordinary, humorous fashion:
“Perhaps one of us should ride with you to then? I’m sure we can both fit on that thing if we squeeze in!”

A smirk spread across his face, but he was soon brought back to reality as the elf ordered him to have his bow at the ready.
“Sure thing ‘Vyn! No one gets close on my watch!” he did what he was told, or at least what he figured that Edvyn meant for him to do. He positioned himself with their target (the thief) within sights, and drew an arrow from the quiver and nocked it as he readied his bow in case things got out of hand for Aaryn.

When Zakai asked her if she was ready for action Vilhelmina had already drawn her blade, and was already on her toes, hopping around and also both twisting and turning her body – she warming up and stretching out her muscles. As a proven duelist she knew how important I was to let her body truly wake up if she had to make quick and precise moves that still required her to put power behind them. This was going to be the first real fight, since they landed on the new continent of Satrella, and Vilhelmina was not going to be losing it.

“Yes mi'lord. I am as ready as can be. But I know not if I will be able to entertain the lot of them, so keep your wits about...” She warned her lord, for the had them outnumbered by quite a bit. She positioned herself in front of Zakai, and even if she had doubts, her mind was set on her and her blade going to be much like a wall of sweeping strikes that would prevent anyone from harming Zakai.

Looking around frantically, Mercury knew there was absolutely no where for him to go. Sure, he could always venture back into Fornith, but the nearest outpost was miles from here and he'd never outrun that wyvern. Luckily, there was a squadron up ahead that should be more than capable of wiping out rebellious scum. All he had to do was stall. "So that's your game then, dragon wench? You think a scar will loosen my lips? PAH! A scar earned in the service of the Emperor would be an honor! I would return home a hero! Songs will be written about my brave and stalwart confrontation with the dead rebel whore who thought she could break me--NO--break the will of the Empire and ORD himself!" Mercury eyed the archer to his right and gulped as a bead of sweat ran down his temple, and his fear only multiplied as he realized that if that squadron didn't hurry up, he'd be pitted in battle with the rider, the elf, and the archer. "I-In fact! I'd sooner die than reveal the contents of THIS document!" Mercury extended Hayden's map outward, but upon taking a second glance at the scroll, he realized that he no longer had what he thought he'd had. A dreadful chill ran up his spine. "Tch! What in Ord's name...!" Mercury whispered to himself and opened the map and studied the strange markings Hayden had made upon it. "...A magic lamp somewhere in the Ifrinic desert..." Mercury whispered and made a face of confusion, briefly distracted by the lunacy written all over the map before shoving it back in his jacket. "I'd sooner die!" Mercury repeated, attempting to pretend as if he was still in possession of the document.

A visible pout appeared on Hayden's face as Vyn offered nothing in return for the document. Maybe he'll slide a little bit of gold my way if I help him get that guy. Lost in thought and staring rather eerily from a distance as Aaryn, Rakhill, and Vyn took on the man who stole his map, he snapped back to reality at the sound of Lamont's voice.

"Leaving? You guys? Whaaaaaaat? No!" Hayden lied terribly but perked up at the mention of A. cookies, and B. someone to listen to his epic tales. The growing smile and excited bouncing was a sign that he had indeed taken the bait. "You should have told me sooner! I'd LOVE to tell you all about my amazing exploits!" Hayden turned away from Lamont and looked over his shoulder at Mercury as he gave his...boring...little speech. Hayden kept his eyes trained on the man but continued speaking with Lamont, though he seemed preoccupied with other thoughts. "I think you, being from Palenia and all, would particularly enjoy the tale of my first girlfriend. She tried to sacrifice me to an ancient goat demon, it was really kinky-- hey you be careful out there, will ya? I've gotta go help those guys out with a...thing. I'll be riiiiight back," Hayden gave Lamont a brisk pat on the back before taking his leave.

Hayden calmly and casually whistled a jaunty little tune as he entered the shop, labeled, "Ilia's". The store clerk bowed and said, "Welcome to Ilia's! Let me know if you need help finding anything!" Hayden nodded and grinned. "Yeah, you know what? I'm actually looking for some ropes! I need to kidnap someone!" He announced cheerfully. The store clerk stared at him in a fearful shock, and Hayden waved his hand dismissively. "I'm kidding, I'm kiddiiiiing! Captain needs 'em for the ship. Some of ours are all worn out and gross." Hayden winked and leaned against the counter. "O-Oh certainly! We've got plenty of rope here..." the clerk bent down and arose with a few feet of rope and asked, "Will this do?" Hayden nodded and reached into his coin purse. "That's perfect." The clerk happily announced, "150 gold please! We've got a sale on vulneraries today! Half off!" Hayden opened his mouth and gasped in excitement. "No waaaay! Yeah I'll take one you never know when you're gonna get shanked in the booty!" The clerk cheerfully added, "Then that'll be 300 gold!" Hayden winced and said, "That's about...normal price for a vulnerary, don't you think?" he was silent for a moment before pepping up again. "But hey! You only live once! I'll take it!" And foolishly bought a vulnerary as well. Maybe it'll come in handy.

Ava twisted uncomfortably as she hid beneath the driver's seat. Her heart was pounding inside of her chest and she just knew this would be the day it either gave out or got a spear plunged into it. But, the strangers that approached Hayden didn't seem to have any interest in killing her and taking everything she had to her name. She cautiously peaked over the railing of the carriage and spotted Hayden calmly and casually talking with the elf. He seemed to come to some sort of agreement, and Ava confidently sat up in her seat and gripped her reigns, returning to her dignified state and hoping that no one had seen her "brief" moment of cowardice, or that'd they would at least disregard it and pretend that no such thing ever happened.

Ava had another problem. Some kind of commotion occurring behind the carriage. Ava carefully peered around and spotted a tiny fraction of Mordimort's body...pinning Rose's body to the ground. This put Ava in quite the difficult situation. Now, she'd trusted Mordi and Era to be sane enough to stay in the carriage until they were across the bridge. Then they could go back to hiding in the woods and staying out of her hair. It would seem her trust was misplaced and it would probably cost Rose her life. Now Ava could hear all of the accusations being thrown not only her way, but Zakai's and Vilhemina's as well. They were harboring assassins! They're child molesters! They're slave peddlers! Ava shook her head and turned away, and returned to the reigns. I don't know anything about that. Nope. Not a thing at all. Because feigning ignorance is always the best defense in the court of law.

Grieves

Kickin' It With: Alexander & Diana

full

Strategist, he is not. In all honesty, Grieves was freaking out inwardly. Like really freaking the fuck out. A couple scuffles in Fuccino couldn't compare to facing off against the weight of a country's military. As the Tarosian forces encroached upon the Assembly, Grieves had only one mission that could even be remotely perceived as the best course of action: make sure no one sticks a sharp object into Diana. Or blows her up with magic. Or a bomb. Or whatever soldiers do to hurt and kill other people in the service of their kingdom. With only one mission, you'd think this couldn't get any easier. But Grieves knew that deep down even he and Alex wouldn't be capable of protecting their lady from all of these troops on their own. Yet, Grieves had much to prove today, and he dared not disappoint, so he he didn't show an inkling of doubt. He knew that if he did, it would forever stain his résumé. Grieves carefully slipped his fingers into his gauntlets, tightening his fists once they were in place and taking a battle stance next to Diana. "Madam," he referred to his charge. Like Al, he was aware that she wouldn't want to sit this out, so he instead reminded her, "We are your sword and shield. Do be careful and let us do most of the...heavy lifting."

Alecks turned to face towards the advancing force, as his charge backed away to take up a safer position. Nodding to show he understood Lamont's orders, Alecks cracked his neck and placed a hand on the hilt of his blade. Turning to the others standing at the font line, he moved towards the warrior nearest to him. A green haired woman, wielding a blade like he did.

"It appears that we'll be the vanguard in this battle. I'll watch your back if you watch mine, here. The same for you." Alecks said, acknowledging Alexander not much farther away.

"Let us truly earn the gold these nobles spend on us."

Orpheus, Mercury, & Troops

Various Cells

Targeting: Vilhelmina, Alecks, Alexander, Hayden, Diana, Grieves

Kickin' It With: Aaryn, and Zakai

full

Orpheus was not known for his tactical brilliance. Many would argue that some of the soldiers in his squadron were far more fit for leadership than him. Take L1 for example. A shining and brave young cadet with more leadership skills in his pinky than Orpheus had in his entire body. "Forward! March!" L1 announced to his Lancer bros, and he locked eyes with Vilhelmina. He pointed his Lance at her honorably before leaping forward and thrusting, but he was only capable of grazing her right side.

L2 followed L1's lead and charged toward Alecks. Being less of a skillful fighter and more of a brute, L2 roared as he charged forward, nailing Alecks in the shoulder with the tip of his spear. L3, a man who spent most of his time in military school asleep in the back decided that the 7 foot man with the axe would be an easy target. And what better place to attack him than the shins? After all L3 himself isn't very tall, and going for the shins always worked in elementary school fights, so why wouldn't it work now? L3 was joined by A2, a strong but silent type kind of guy, who deftly fired an arrow into the thigh of the big man in the suit.

A1 was the opposite of A2, she was loud, cheeky, and boastful. She'd spotted a fellow archer among the enemy and she was eager to prove her superior marksman skills. She ran past L2 as he engaged Alecks, and stopped short in front of Zakai. "Oi! Archer!" She called out to the Herranowan noble. "I challenge you to a dual! I'll even let you take the first shot, for I am as quick on my feet as I am accurate!" GR1 groaned at A2's antics as he flew overhead to get eyes on that carriage. Looked like there might be some cool shit in there in to pillage.

GR3 was, again, yet another soldier among the Tarosian military who slept through school along with L3 the Genius, and decided that attacking the woman standing near an archer would be a good idea. Sure, as his mighty gryphon dove downward and he slashed at her shoulder, he managed to land a strike, but he pulled his blade back to make sure it wasn't lethal. Orpheus hadn't done the most terrific job of determining who was to be captured and who was to be slain, so GR3 figured he'd play it safe and just incapacitate anyone he could. GR2 didn't agree, and when she attacked Hayden she slashed wildly at the man, managing to gash him across the chest. GR2 was Mercury's saving grace, for the beauty riding upon that Gryphon would be his ticket across the bridge. He gave Aaryn the finger and dipped the fuck out, calling to GR2 frantically. "Over here! HELP ME! I'M A SPY!" GR2 hovered in the sky, eyes still on Hayden, but winced as Mercury announced to all of Fornith that he was a spy, and she wondered if he'd even be worth saving.

Meanwhile, down below, Orpheus assured his men, "No really...I'll...catch up...with you guys...pretty soon. Go on...ahead," he ordered through pants and wheezes. Lead by M3, the group formed a defensive position around TR1 to serve as a second wave of terror should the enemy prove too difficult for the first to handle.

"Aiiee!" As the gryphon and it's rider came crashing down on her with claws and blades Diana was hit badly, and she could already feel the warmth of her own blood against her skin as she fell to the ground by the force of the impact. Things sure was going faster than she had expected, and her hesitation had costed her dearly; she had already fallen down to the ground and was now rolling around to evade the claws of the attacking beast. Luckily, she got out of it's reach and jumped nimbly back up on her feet. There was no time to lose, so, this time without hesitation, she slashed at the enemy in front of her!

Vilma_Post.jpg
Vilhelmina

Cell: F5

Targeting: L1

The incoming enemy had a lance, in Vilhelmina's book such weapons were the hardest to go up against, for their reach completely nullified her strength which was footwork and quick sudden strikes. If she was to best this foe she had to focus. She tried to avoid the incoming strike at the same time as she made an approach in order to get close enough to get an opportunity to strike her foe before he could strike again.

Rak_Post.jpg
Rakhill

Cell: G2 > H3

Targeting: GR3

Rakhill had his eyes trained on a gryphon rider that closed in in front of him (GR2). He made a run for the bridge in hopes of getting close enough to plant an arrow in his target before it made it passed the shoreline (he figured it would certainly be a good thing if it fell into the river). But his plans came to a sudden change as he was passing a lady in ceder brown hair (Diana) and noticed another gryphon appearing in the corner of his eye. The animal and it's rider struck the poor woman, and Rakhill had to grind to a halt. He let go of his initial target and quickly fired and arrow at the other gryphon rider (GR3) instead!

Mordimort threw herself at the maiden rather suddenly in a blind tackle, launching the two out of the wagon and into the ground below as Mordimort made attempts to grapple Rose to the ground that resembled a blanket thrown over a small dog. "D-d-don't worry Era I have the fiend Right where I want her!" Rosalia shrieked, rather fearful of these demon children. Knowing that she was just a child, all Rosa had to do was put her hands in her face rather defensively without hurting the group. Luckily, her maid strength was able to lift the small girl onto her shoulder like how a parent would to a child.

"Calm now, child! I don't want to hurt you!"
Her voice became much quieter and soothing to the ear. "Are you children lost? How did you get here?" The maid gently put down Mordimort on a tiny straw mattress. She had some leftover croissants from when they had landed in Satrella. They were in some sort of gingham cloth in Rosalia's apron pockets. "Here... have some of these~" She held out the cloth to the two stowaways. "I'm going to tell my Lord... Don't worry! He's kind and he won't hurt you~"

mighty white wyvern. "You wish you could run away from me." Aaryn said to herself rather quietly. "So that's your game then, dragon wench? You think a scar will loosen my lips? PAH! A scar earned in the service of the Emperor would be an honor! I would return home a hero! Songs will be written about my brave and stalwart confrontation with the dead rebel whore who thought she could break me--NO--break the will of the Empire and ORD himself!" Mercury dared to speak to the woman like that. No, he wasn't speaking to just a woman, he was speaking to a tanky ass woman with a fucking flying dragon and Aaryn made sure to remind him of that. "A hero?! What honour do you speak of?!" Aaryn scoffed, seeing the fear on the face, the shrewd woman realized he was stalling for time. He gave Aaryn the finger and dipped the fuck out, calling to GR2 frantically. "Over here! HELP ME! I'M A SPY!"

3-9_sl7udws.jpg
Aaryn facepalmed as she quickly chased after the thief. "Don't think I'm playing any games with you! The Ord wouldn't help a weak spy that depends on fierce gryphons for aid, too scared to confront a 'dragon wench'. The poor knight is just as ashamed of you as the Ord, I'm just doing you a favour by smiting the fool out of you, Resistance or Empire!"

Vyn had decided to show up now, too caught up with the military document. Jesus, Aaryn never calms down, does she? Vyn winced at Aaryn's hard hit, GR2 seemed to be tasked with rescuing Mercury. He couldn't have that by any means. That explorer better hurry up with the rope. Standing steadily, Vyn simply stood in case anyone wanted to fuck with either Aaryn or Rakhill, landing a hit on the fierce gryphon rider.

"Ooh... Didn't expect that to be the first minute... best i go help Alecks then."
he bite his bottom lip after seeing the rather... bloody display that just happened before him, atleast HE could heal his own wounds in battle. Given that he hits mind you, quite handy thing scathatch was, so long as their was enemies to be had, he was fine and dandy.

Speaking of hitting, it was time he did some business!

Walking his way towards Alecks' side once more he pushed the man's head down. "When i said Rosa was there to help, that didn't mean get skewered you know, no matter, I shall protect you in your time of need!" he chuckled slightly as he looked towards L2, a mischievous gleam appearing in his eyes.

Oh it has been so long since he has taken to the field... So long since he was with his master, purging darkness wherever it lay until nothing was left but their sullen wretched husks... indeed... he shall enjoy being blooded again.

"Go to the mother heathen, may she give you the mercy I shall not." and with a flick of a wrist the tome floated before him, like a dancer amidst their performance he twirled with utmost grace, the tome glowing as the glowing symbols and incantations etched themselves in the air in a circle around the man as he extended a hand above the tome, towards the poor soul at the receiving end of the spell.

Before the lancer's eyes a small ball of darkness appeared, roughly the size of the palm of one's hand. However, it didn't take long for the lancer to regret jumping out of the way as the small ball collapsed in on it's self, erupting in a blasting array light as it exploded upon him with great magical force. The light searing his flesh as the responding darkness blasted back from the blast corroded his very being like an acid meant only to destroy anything that had a spark of a soul within.

The lancer crumpled lifelessly from the arcane might as the life energy reaped flew through the air, returning to Lamont to heal any wounds received... which currently was a small paper cut he had gained earlier from his paper work.

"Well, i guess thats one way to get rid of those." the man stated as he examined his fingers thoughtfully. "Best I don't make it a habit."

"I have you now- WHAAAGAH!" Mordi struggled helplessly as the surprisingly strong woman lifted her up effortlessly... then again.. she was quite light(Unlike her sisters and their fat butts Hohohohoh~!). her trip through the air was ended suddenly as she was sat on her bottom on the bedding nearby, she yelped slightly from her butt hitting the floor.

Rubbing her bruised hiney, or atleast a little sore, she now noticed the woman was holding out.... food? "I'll have you know that i am no child!" she thumbed her nose and raising it up in slight disdain for being called a kid. Like she would ever take food from an obvious neer' dowell, this was obviously a trick-

When did she start eatting this croissant?

It was good, really good, but... she... her hands...

Well if it was poisoned shed be dead by now.. or atleast Sh**ing out her innards, so... guess she could trust this woman... slightly... maybe...perhaps...

In between each bite of her new meal she began questioning the woman. "And what *Chomp chew* makes you think *Naw* We'd wnat to speak to your lord hmm? I am a strong independent woman, i don't need any help from some silly lord, besides, i have Era, master jar opener." she stated quite happily about her new found Independence, and the title she gifted upon her friend, whom helped her defeat the horrid little pickle jars that caused her so much trouble in the past.

Mercury's mouth would be his undoing. Perhaps he should have feigned cooperation, perhaps he should have begged for his life, perhaps he shouldn't have called the wyvern rider a "rebel whore". But there was no longer time to think about "perhaps". What's done is done, he'd made his bed, and this time when he sleeps in it he won't wake up.

Mercury made evasive maneuvers as the white wyvern descended upon him, but they were all in vain. Cold, heavy metal slammed into his face with the weight of the wyvern's speed behind it. His neck snapped from the force of the whiplash and he was dead instantly, which was probably a blessing in disguise considering the total mess Aaryn's hammer made of his now barely connected jaw. His body ragdolled a few feet backward and laid lifelessly in the now bloodstained grasses of Fornith.

Hayden exited the store in typical cheerful fashion, wrapping the ropes around his shoulder and preparing to whistle another one of his famous tunes when he looked up in the sky and noticed he was being ambushed. He quite fruitlessly begged the rider, "NOT THE THREADS!" before the blade tore through his clothing, and skin, leaving a deep but nonfatal gash across his chest. "GaAAH FISH! I said NOT THE THREADS!" Hayden shook his fist at the rider and shoved his Shine tome back into his coat. "I've got something for you alright...come here little birdie...kitty...birty..." he muttered nefariously as he removed his bow from his back and reached for an arrow from his quiver. He knocked the arrow and pulled the string back, sticking out his tongue as he concentrated on the perfect shot.

But Hayden and concentration went about as well together as a bull and a 6 foot man in an Elmo costume riding a unicycle. Mercury and Aaryn distracted him, and he relieved the tension on the bowstring to watch them. When Hayden saw Mercury go down in one strike, a big smile spread on his face and he hooted and hollered. "WHOO! YOU GO GIRL!" he cheered the wyvern rider on, placing his fingers in his mouth and whistling as Mercury's body hit the ground. But then, he remembered the Ropes he just bought, and stared at them as if he was trying to solve a complex mathematical expression in his head without scratch paper. "Wait a second..."

Vyn was next to steal Hayden's fleeting attention span with an equally awesome display of fire and swordsmanship, scorching and slashing at his attacker from before. "Oh wait!" Hayden snapped his fingers and announced the astute conclusion he'd come to as Vyn likely protected him from getting his head chopped off by GR2. "That wasn't good!" he looked toward Vyn and pointed at Mercury's corpse with an inappropriately excited face, but found that the elf was focused on a little thing called combat with a lady riding on a giant bird-lion. Hayden dashed over toward Mercury's body to get his map back, and upon reaching the corpse, he fired an arrow into the neck of GR2 without any focus at all, as if it were an afterthought. But this was no testament to Hayden's skill. He was far from a talented archer and the arrow had really only struck by dumb luck. He barely looked at her or her mount as he took her life and probably wasn't even expecting the arrow to land. That wasn't what was important to him in this moment.

Hayden crouched down by Mercury's body and retrieved his map. "Dummy..." he grumbled as he rolled it up and shoved it back into his coat. When he stood up straight, he kicked Mercury's dead head repeatedly and cursed him. "Stupid, ugly, fish eating idiot! Couldn't even take a hit!" he growled in disdain, frustrated that the fictional cash prize he'd be receiving from Vyn for capturing the courier would now be impossible to receive.

Ava was still feigning ignorance toward whatever was going on behind her in the cabin of the Winfield. She was still hiding under the driver's set, but curiosity got the best of her and she took a peek from the floor of the carriage and spotted GR1 giving her the "Imma kill you" eyes. Or at least, any enemy unit facing her general direction was perceived as giving her "Imma kill you" eyes. "Eep!" Ava let out a tiny peep and ducked back under the seat so fast her hat fell off. Clutching it to her chest, a cold sweat gathered on her temples. "I-I-I-I n-n-n-need to get away from him!" Ava said aloud to herself and mustered every ounce of courage she had, which indeed wasn't much, to take action. It was enough to hop over the side of the carriage and foolishly incriminate herself about the whole "yeah I gave the kids a ride" thing.

Ava hurried to the back of the carriage and stood in front of the open carriage doors, red in the face, and announced, "Wh-Whatever they told you is a lie! They're liars!!" She announced to Rose in a tone that couldn't possibly be anymore suspicious. Ava shot Era and Mordi a glare as if they were responsible for everything wrong in Ava's life. "B-But there's no time for that! Hold on to your hats, w-we're leaving!" And with that, Ava slammed the doors shut and made sure they were secure before zipping back up to the driver's seat and snapping the reigns. She'd witnessed Hayden, the purple elf, and the dragon rider taking down a Gryphon Rider and Mercury, thus clearing a little safezone that looked just perfect for the Winfield. With a snap of the reigns, Ava was over there in no time, looking at the gryphon rider and smiling in accomplishment, though he probably couldn't even see her. Not today, Taros. Not today. Ava folded her arms triumphantly before sinking in her seat, remembering that Rose had found Era and Mordi, and there would no doubt be some explaining to do. Ava's mind immediately set itself toward crafting a bulletproof lie.

Grieves

Cell: I4 -> I2

Kickin' It With: Alexander, Diana, and kinda Rakhill but not really

It was the first time Grieves had been shot with an arrow before. The swift and sickening thunk sound came before he even registered the pain. And when he did, he grunted and reached for the arrow by its shaft to yank it out. Probably not the best idea, but it was his most immediate reaction. "HMPH!" Grieves grunted as he multiplied the pain and dropped the bloody arrow to the ground. Why do I have the dreadful feeling this won't be the last time I'm shot? The thought caused a rumble of butterflies within his stomach, but he displaced his fear as a Gryphon Rider descended upon his lady. "MADAM DUSETTE!!" he shouted, but it was too late, the rider had landed his blow. Diana's scream was far more painful than the arrow, or even removing the arrow, for it was the sound of failure.

Working off of pure adrenaline, he prepared himself to make a running jump at the rider as Diana got him low enough for him to possibly tackle off of the gryphon. But he wouldn't have to. An arrow came from out of no where, and took the rider out of the sky. As the gryphon fell, Grieves pulled Diana backward to prevent the beast from falling on her. "Forgive me, Madam," he bowed in apology for A. pulling her away so swiftly, and B. failing to prevent the rider from attacking her. "Are you well?" he asked as he studied her wound briefly. Some blood is enough blood when charged with protecting a person however, he didn't have to be a doctor to figure out that the wound needed immediate treatment on his behalf.

"Madam, my healing staff was lost when the ship was lit ablaze. My apologies," he bowed his head once more, and continued, "I will purchase another from my personal funds for our journey. Please stay close to Mr. Grous until I return. I will heal your wounds immediately..." Looking around the field at their comrades, unable to spot Rose in their vicinity, he mumbled, "It would appear that yet again the maid cannot be depended upon...ah. Forgive me, that was unprofessional. I will return to your side at once." Grieves bowed again before taking off towards the shop to buy a Heal staff. The sales clerk pulled the same shit on Grieves as she did with Hayden and the half-off vulnerary, and Grieves reluctantly bought one for himself and used it upon leaving, hoping that it would relieve the pain of his arrow wound.

Zakai was caught watching as his bodyguard was attacked, jaw a little slack as he waited to see how she would react instead of drawing his bow. Hey, dipwad... this is a war and if you don't find someone to fire arrows at you could end up in major trouble. "Need a hand?" Zakai asked, following up Vilhelmina's attack with an arrow of his own. Though she was his body guard there was no way he was going to just let her battle alone. He watched the lancer fall, a great swell of confidence in his chest... and then a taunting voice caught his attention and Zakai turned to find out what was going on. Shooting down the so called impressive Archer sounded like good fun so Zakai set up and attacked. Vilma could handle the lancer and with the archer's position if he didn't take her out then he or Vilma could end up with an arrow in his back. Knocking an arrow, he took a deep breath and fired. It struck it's target and for a moment Zakai thought he had not been successful, the arrow protruding from her chest but the taunter still on her feet. Then she collapsed and Zakai did an internal victory dance. Yes, he was awesome.

Al laughs at the puny men that try to attack him, not minding the wounds entirely. They were naught but a tickle to him... and he was in fine spirits until Diana was attacked. Bellowing in rage that it was partially his own fault that someone had been able to injure Diana he buckled down and swiped at the man that had attacked him, L3. He had no more amusement in his eyes as he swiped at the man and made sure to protect Diana from attacks as well as help her attack the foe of her choice. His concern for her was stronger then his concern for Grieves though that existed as well. He noticed the arrow the man had taken to the thigh and wondered how much that would slow the butler down... hopefully it hadn't hit any major arteries.

Era watched in wide-eyed amazement as the maid that looked as frail as any maid swiftly picked up Mordimort and set her down away from her. Even though Mordi had attacked her, she was still kind to them which Era appreciated it. Watching as the woman held Mordi carefully and spoke kindly to them, Era nodded at the woman's first question and then answered "Boat." to the woman's other question.

Shyly moving closer to the woman, she slowly reached out for the criossant- as if expecting the woman to take it away and laugh - until her hand closed around one and then she snatched it away like a mouse would run away from a cat. Swiftly moving around so that Mordimort was between her and the maid, she settled down with her prize and began to nibble at it- stomach gurgling as if knowing the precious prize Era now had in her hands.

Gazing in aw as Mordi continued to speak back to the maid, she just shook her head in amusement. She hugged Mordi's side carefully to show she appreciated the comment about her before pulling away to continue nibbling at the croissant.

Targeting: A2

Alecks stumbled slightly as he grasped the wound in his shoulder. With an irritated groan, he regained his footing and addressed his lord with a frown. Not only had he had the terrible luck of being struck by the lancer, but immediately after, his liege came to his defense, making him look inept in his post. brushing off the minor pain, Alecks walked past the Vicar with an irritated expression.

"This isnt over just yet...fall back, milord. I'm still supposed to be protecting you, after all."

Turning to an archer that had moved in on their group, Alecks charged the (un)fortunately positioned and vulnerable enemy soldier, and proceeded to slash at them with his blade.

A2 ducked under Alecks' swipe and sprung backward, almost falling over in the process but he managed to stay on his feet. Taking a look on the battlefield, things weren't going well for the Tarosian army. He noticed his fellow archer A1 had been talking shit a moment ago and was now bleeding out on the floor. Definitely not great, but A2 couldn't afford to relent the loss of a peer. He pulled his bowstring back and fired at Alecks in the thigh, because A2 is a thigh guy. (Really he's just not sure who he can and cannot kill at the moment.)

C2 witnessed L3 going down like a little bitch as Alexander effortlessly cut him down to size. C2 and L3 had a few classes together and lets just say that C2 wasn't too fond of the guy and was glad to see him gone. And now, that axe wielding brute was wide open. He looked like he could be some sort of king given his fancy cape, but he certainly didn't sound like or fight like one. Still, C2 took some of the power out of his swing. Howver, just as the blade came swooping down it met the steel of Diana's blade instead of flesh as she deflected the blow!

C1 immediately took L1's spot in front of Vilhelmina once the Lancer fell over and breathed his final breath. Charging in on his majestic steed, he went for the blow and successfully landed it before turning backward to adjust himself. C1 had the bright idea of simply asking who the big wigs were. "Surrender your royals to us, and the rest of you will live to see your homeland once more!" It was a lie, but C1 hoped it wasn't. If some kind of deal could be cut here and the guards could be spared, who would know and who would care? C1 could relate after all, he was just a cog in the monstrous contraption of death that was the Tarosian military. Utterly inconsequential and meant to be tossed into the flames to die for a cause he wasn't even sure he supported anymore.

The second wave is here and it's time for the holy men of the Tarosian military to prove to Ord that their path is the true one. Now M3, one of the more tactically talented among the crew decided he'd be best suited in helping out the only Gryphon Rider their squad now had left by targeting the archer that managed to take down the Rider that had struck Diana. In the chaos caused by the Cavaliers' attacks on Alexander and Vilhelmina, M3 sprinted through the middle, flipping through the pages of his Lightning tome and preparing the holy words so that when he reached his target, he was capable of striking him with the piercing light of Ord. GR1 wasn't ignorant toward the efforts of M3 and decided to lend a hand in helping him dispatch of these archers. With the shrill squawk of his gryphon, he forgot all about that silly carriage and made a B-Line for Zakai, DEEPLY, wounding him in the process before locking eyes with M3. The two of them nodded in understanding.

The holy wave continued as M1 boldly stepped up directly to Lamont. Holy man Vs. Holy man. How's this gonna go? Well, pretty well for M1 due to Lamont's wielding of a dark tome. A few words of prayer and shining light struck Lamont, but it did not strike him down. M2 followed in M1's footsteps of attacking important people yet not even knowin' really how important they are and tried to cast Lightning on Diana. But he missed! Was it because Diana's a speedy speedster? Heck yeah it is!

And finally, it's time for the big kahuna. Orpheus. TR1 saw the heavily armored man finally standing on his feet, and preemptively moved backward so that Orpheus can..."take the charge." Really he only moved a few paces upward before bending over and catching his breath.

[A2 dodge's Alecks' attack and moves from I6 to I7 and shoots Alecks and does 50% damage. That is, however, a decreased number. If we were playing for realsies, Alecks would be ded right now.]

"Phew, close one! Thank you Al-… Ah, Grieves, sorry!" Diana had been saved from being fallen upon by the dead gryphon and rider. Now, she had expected Alexander to be the one to watch her back, but this time around Tyson was the one to get her out of harm’s way. She offered him a grateful smile and a quick pat on the arm as thanks for saving her. “You guys doing alright?” She asked the two men at her, as she noticed his both of them had red stains on them.

She had hardly gotten an answer to her question when a in the corner of her eye she saw a monk raising a tome in front of him. "Watch out!" Knowing what was going to happen, Diana grabbed Al’s arm to make him sidestep. The bolt of lightning fired from the tome barely missed Al, who had been struck by it if it wasn’t for Diana’s quick thinking.

A fire of rage was lit within her when she saw yet another magic wielder fire a bolt of lightning that fried the young stranger archer that had planted an arrow in the gryphon rider moments before, something that ultimately had saved her life. Without saying anything she took a few quick strides ahead and planted one of her daggers in the monk (M3).

As one enemy fell, another one took it’s place. For Vilhelmina, who was used at fighting in fair one versus one duels carried out by the book, the quick and sudden replacement of her enemy costed her a cut from the cavaliers sword before she could dance out of the way. Next thing she knew a gryphon rider had made his way around them, and swooped down on Zakai. Vilhelmina’s heart skipped several beats as she saw the gryphon rider inflicting what seemed to be a rather nasty hit on her charge. She thought as the red started pouring.

"NO! Don’t you dare touch him!" She screamed at the top of her lounges and started turning around, not bothering to mind the cavalier that was currently engaging her. But as she did, yet another foe appeared in her view. A monk by the looks of it. He was just releasing a spray of lightning upon the Palenian Lord. So, even if Vilhelmina’s thoughts were primarily to aid Zakai at this point, she took a quick shoot at the monk as she passed him by.

He tried to scream but was unable to. All he uttered was a weak whimper.

Slowly he got back on his feet, still disoriented. In his blurred vision the only thing he could clearly make out was the huge silhouette of a gryphon not far away from him. Not knowing if the beast was going for him or someone else he chanced a shot at it despite his lack of proper vision.

Lightning hurt, like, really hurt, thats the issue with wielding dark magic.. there is always that snickering fool who gets lucky...

Thankfully, Scathatch came with a secondary effect.

Panting as the sparking golden lights danced across his frame he grew not worried, not frightened... but vengeful! these heathen monks dare wound him? he who walks the path of the rightful goddess? he who lives within her holy embrace!? they know not what they do... they know not the vengence they have brought forth, but a revenge, while hot, must be guided well, lest it burn wildly without avail!

he must find another target, one that would wither and die so that he may live!

And so... he found his prey...

Within the slightest moment of begin struck he was on the move, circling around the monk and coming in range of the cavalier, without so much as any flair, he let his spells roar with holy rage.

"Wither!"

Scathatch seared the man with it's holy fury, the dark magic draining all it could from the mess it was leaving behind, uncaring for the man and beast it stole life from.

"A fitting end."

"Now then.. what in blazes is going on out here-" she asked as she saw a man, and a horse, just get blasted with the strangest bout of magic she had ever seen. her eyes wide as she, not three seconds out of that carriage, just witnessed the very first death she has ever seen... though, thankfully not up front and personal like those people up front... With the casting of her spell she blundered over as he shakey knees gave out, causing her to trip and stumble her way directly into Alexander's back, as the tome flies high into the sky and unleashed the blazing ball of fire upon the cavalier(hey, rolls say it hits, i just do the fluff) as she bounced haplessly off the large man back to whence she came, flat on her back as the tome met her face on it's way down, covering her with it's open pages.

Once revenge had properly been dealt out to the Gryphon Rider, Hayden had to think about his next move. Without Mercury, he doubted the Elf and his friends would be dishing out any rewards for his assistance. So that means it's time to go! Just as he'd been planning. But he slowed down and took a moment to think. The Assembly was having quite a bit of trouble with these Tarosian guys. There could potentially be some major rewards if he helped them out and left formally. Perhaps a bit of their treasury? Not to mention Lamont's promise that Rose would bake him cookies if he stuck around. Cookies, maybe some gold...sounds fair...but I don't want to be committed to anything...long term. Hayden rubbed his chin in thought and watched the battlefield. He saw the final Rider seriously injure Zakai, and the Elf's archer retaliated with a bow after taking a hit from some pretty serious looking Light magic. Alright, I'm sold then. Better to keep this little bridge of mine standing than to burn it down. I suppose.

Resolute in his decision he drew another arrow passed by Vyn. "Scuse me buddy," he offered. Hayden took position behind the Rider, got on one knee, and pulled the bowstring back. He wasn't the best archer by a long shot (see what I did there?) but he was passable enough to target the inherit weaknesses of beasts with wings. With GR2, he'd merely gotten lucky when he hit the throat. The key was to aim for the wings. Hayden's breathing slowed and he released the arrow. There's nothing more satisfying than watching an arrow fly through the air and hit its target. Hayden smirked as he watched the Rider fall from the sky. "Heh. I'm two for two today, not bad~!"

Ava felt about as safe as an unarmed woman could feel on a battlefield with warriors. She was pretty well protected and had a nice view of the battlefield. But sharp and excruciating pangs of guilt stabbed at her stomach when she saw the Gryphon Rider she'd been trying so hard to avoid dig his blade into Zakai. Ava was not a knight, nor was she Zakai's bodyguard, yet she found herself feeling responsible for the foolhardy prince's injury. "Gods I'm going to die today..." Ava grumbled to herself as she braced herself for a courageous maneuver. "Rosalia!" Ava turned to face the narrow slit that acted as a means of communication with the cabin passengers and the driver. "Lord Hadwin has been badly injured! You are to heal him AT ONCE!" Ava ordered, despite being in no position to give orders. It's just that...well...Ava had been able to size up Rosalia very easily from the day she'd first met the girl. She'd do anything for anyone, not just Lamont, and Ava fully intended on taking advantage of that today.

Ava turned around and huffed a small puff of air before snapping the reigns on her horses. "Yah!" Ava rode straight into the fray and hated herself the second she reached the frontlines. "Oh gods oh gods oh gods oh gods!" she panicked before standing up and waving her hat. In full on mom tone, she called out to Zakai. "Prince Hadwin! Get in this carriage AT ONCE!" After calling out to him, Ava immediately ducked behind her seat and trembled on the floor of the driver's seat.

Alright, that vulnerary did the trick! That blow to his leg felt like a mere scratch now. Certainly it would be enough to get him through the rest of this fight. With a new staff in hand, and that pesky Gryphon Rider out of the sky, Grieves cracked his neck muscles and returned to Diana. Before tending to her, he felt compelled to briefly assist the young archer that had been looking out for Diana with the Riders in the first place. "Young man! You have my thanks for protecting Madam Dusette!" Grieves held up the vulnerary to show Rakhill what he was passing to him, and then tossed the healing sack toward the archer.

Now that his debt was paid, it was time to do his job. "I'd ask that you hold still Madam," Grieves requested before raising the staff. Channeling his magical energy into the staff, a warm blue light radiated from the orb of the staff. Soon, a gentle and warm ray descended upon Diana and healed her injuries.

Zakai- Limps from F4 to I4

The cheerful attitude that Zakai usually carried bled from him just as life bled away from that other archer. War was no place to laugh or feel joyful; it was a place of cold barriers and misery for those too weak to cut themselves from the pain. He gazed at the other archer for far longer then he should have. He'd never really killed anyone else before, and it was hitting him hard that they had probably had a family. They had probably had friends and a life and had just been on the wrong side of this fight. And this was hitting him hard. Swallowing thickly he didn't even see the shadow as it fell over him, and then he was being struck and all he could feel was pain.

"Gods..." Was the only word that fell from his lips, a final prayer in case he was going to die on this battle field. Of course now would be the time he chose to pray, when the end was near. He realized he wasn't dead around the time he heard Vilhelmina's shriek and then Ava's order to get into the carriage. He didn't wait to hear the order twice and was quickly on his way, collapsing into the carriage.

Alexander- H5; Targeting - M2

The joy of war, the feel of his blade cutting one man after another down... it was a powerful, amazing feeling and Alexander was completely in his element. So much so that he forgot about magic wielders. Those tome wielding ninnies always left a trail of agony where ever Alexander was involved. He was saved this time by the person he was supposed to be guarding, and watched the flash of light that could have had his death or serious injury written into it if it weren't for Diana's quick thinking. In way of thanks, he basically ignored the little man causing trouble right in front of him and went after the person nearest Diana. She came first.

Alexander was also exceptionally grateful when Grieves healed Diana, glad that the man was on the case and keeping their charge alive. Al struck out at M2, grinning when his axe made contact- though unfortunately he hit nothing of extreme importance nor was he in a position to help Diana anymore. "Take that you magic wielding weakling! Let me show you how a real man fights!" There was a soft brush against Alexander's back and he glanced back to see a small lass on the ground, get up and brush herself up. "Tha's right lass, keep on battling." He wondered who the girl was, though... he didn't recognize her.

Era- Leaves Carriage, I3

Era didn't want to be left behind by Mordimort... so she followed from the carriage but froze as she saw the war going on. Era wasn't really one to get into fights. They greatly preferred stealing without being noticed, and if she were to fight she'd want to fight without being seen. Perhaps she should work on that... Her respect for Mordimort grew, at any rate, for the girl being able to charge into battle the way she had. Perhaps Mordi would help her learn to fight.

Needless to say, Era stayed near the carriage, peering around it to watch the war currently going on.

Rose did the loving mother action where her hands clasped together at adoration and obliviousness to the seriousness of the situation. That little girl looked so cute, her cheeks so chubby and begging to be pinched. It was funny how Mordimort was the one that was asking the questions and not the one maid that served her beloved Vicar. "Why wouldn't you want to speak to my Lord? He's kind and he will take care of you babies! If not, then I'll have to stuff you in my pocket and eat you up~" She giggled, playing with the girl's cheeks. "Wh-Whatever they told you is a lie! They're liars!!" Ava announced to Rose in a tone that couldn't possibly be anymore suspicious. But we all know Rose is the smartest girl in the Assembly, so she tilted her head and dismissed Ava's comments. "Don't listen to her. She doesn't know you're just cute little babies~" Rose smiled at Mordi calling her a "fluffy haired pretty lady". "Awww, you're leaving so quickly? Wait....you're leaving?" It had suddenly hit her. There was a battle going on outside. What if those children had gotten hurt? What if her Lord was badly harmed? It was already too late, the children had already left the carriage.

"Rosalia!" Ava turned to face the narrow slit that acted as a means of communication with the cabin passengers and the driver. "Lord Hadwin has been badly injured! You are to heal him AT ONCE!" Ava ordered. Rose let out a small cry as the carriage made a sharp turn. "Yes, miss!" Rose nodded. The maiden ran up to him with open arms as Zakai collapsed into the carriage. Gasping in shock, she gently carried the Lord with strong arms onto the straw mattress. Putting a hand on his shoulder, Rosalia hushed his pleas as she went to town with the magical mend stave. "You'll be alright my Lord, you shouldn't exert yourself so often." A small glow encompassed his body, healing him. "If you do not mind me asking, my Lord, please bring any other injured people to the carriage. Injuries are never good during battle..."

Hayden wasn't the sharpest tool in the box, was he? Did it really have to take a flaming sword for Hayden to recognize his surroundings? Due to Vyn's ever-increasing hubris, he thought that he just totally saved the explorer's ass back there. The tactition stood there, dumbstruck as the arrow took his opponent's life. It was a bit of a relief, really. Being someone that never went out in combat, all he did was train his magic inside or worked behind the scenes in covert missions. Besides, as an elf with rather distinct looks like violet complexion, with platinum blonde hair and markings all over his body didn't necessarily make up what was normal. "Dummy..." Hayden grumbled as he rolled it up and shoved it back into his coat. When he stood up straight, he kicked Mercury's dead head repeatedly and cursed him. "Stupid, ugly, fish eating idiot! Couldn't even take a hit!" Hayden growled in disdain, causing the elf to roll his eyes.

Sure, they had failed Uryva, but he should've known that Aaryn couldn't touch any enemy without killing them. He exasperatingly rubbed his forehead. All he wanted for her to do was to lower his health, it was an axe for crying out loud, he cursed himself. "Aaryn... just..." The silver haired girl raised an eyebrow. "It's not your fault he's a coward. Take him with you, I don't care how." The elf shrugged. "Understood, mother." Aaryn smirked in response. Winnie snorted, deciding to carry the corpse with his jaw. Not what he had in mind, but Mercury was dead, his body a bloody mess. He knew that the wyvern didn't prefer human meat, especially not one of a spy. "No daughter of mine shall ever be called a rebel whore." Vyn stated dryly, as if he was so done with her shit. Walking past the rain of arrows from the explorer, he spotted some fighters that could be working with Hayden. They weren't with the Resistance, he certainly didn't recognize them.

Deciding to bite the bullet, Vyn decided to make his way into the middle of the crowd. "Excuse me, little girl." He said, scooting over and nearly trampling over Mordimort on the same cell. "I understand this is a bad time for everyone, but I can help you. I'm with the Resistance, just listen to me. We have strong fighters and we need assistance. See that hunter and the dragon rider? They're with us." Vyn tried to hurry, sounding urgent as he pointed to Aaryn and Rakhill. "We need someone strong with that Tarosian archer and that cavalier. I can take care of the monk, if someone would assist. Pair off and deal with them accordingly, even you, little one. That's the leader, Fat Walda, this is the perfect opportunity..." His voice was authoritative at first, though trailed off at the thought of finally killing Orpheus. That'll have to send a message to the army that the rebel forces ain't nothing to fuck with.

As Alecks fled into the carriage, A2 attempted to pursue him. The archer nocked another arrow and prepared to fire. Just as Alecks closed the carriage doors the archer released, and the arrow merely bounced off of the carriage. Not today A2. Not today.

Getting set on fire is a telltale sign that one's life is in danger. C2, in his massive panic from having taken a fireball to his face, C2 swiped at Alecks as he tried to simultaneously calm his steed. But this is why you shouldn't multitask because he failed horribly and missed the giant of a man. You had one job C2. Lucky for him, TR1 came to give him a second shot at life and healed him and his horse back to full health with her amazing Mend staff.

These guys aren't going down without a fight, that's for sure. M1 saw Lamont's act of darkly vampiric act against C1, sapping the life away from the knight to restore his own. After watching C1's body collapse in a lifeless heap from his horse, M1 no longer had any doubt in his mind that the man before him must be killed. In fact, he was blaming himself for C1's death. Had he been stronger, he could have saved the man's life. With his lightning tome in one hand, M1 placed his free hand on his heart. The magical pressure radiating from his body made his cape and hair billow as if he were in the middle of a tornado. Golden runes appeared before him as he called to the skies, "I CALL UPON THE MIGHT OF OUR FATHER ORD TO SMITE THE UNHOLY!" The monk dramatically threw his hand back before pushing it toward Lamont, and a powerful light struck the Lord where he stood.

Orpheus came lumbering down the bridge. Panting heavily, but now he was in full battle mode. His armor clanked and his voice sounded monstrous and metallic through his helmet. "You think you have us beaten!? Never! ALL WILL FALL BEFORE THE EMPEROR!" and he put all of his weight behind his thrust toward Vilhelmina.

For the second time today, he was accosted, rent and torn with heretical light, this priest, dares to invoke the name of his disgusting god in his presence!?

To dare to harm him with it's it's REVOLTING spells?

TO DARE LOOK UPON HIM WITH SUCH....

Such...

...

.....

..........

Disgust...

"...You... worship a god named Ord yes?" Lamont stated, panting lightly, his body wracked with pain... but still standing. "...ord....ord.... I shall remember that name... the name of a god that dares interfere with her holy mother's servant, who dares face one of her beloved sons! And DARES TO NAME HIM HERETIC! UNHOLY! I SPIT UPON YOUR NAME AND SPIT UPON YOUR WORTHLESS GOD!"

The man... snapped... more or less, his eyes narrowed and a second nature unveiled, Was he truely doing this for his goddess? or was it simply to cover his bloodlust in a different light?

Either way, it was about to be sated.

Raising a hand high he chuckled with a maleficent ire, and then withdrew two tomes. "My master... I dedicate this.. to you." he spoke with a sudden calmness, it was.. wistful, but yet the rage was barely hidden underneath. His tomes, his beloved Scathach opened first, flying into the air around him as it's pages flew open, the arcane scripture, steeped with holy energy danced around him like an arcane cage, his hand above his head now the point of which the dark energies gathered, a small ball of condensed darkness with a shining light hidden within, just barely breaking free through the murky shroud.

And next, the lightning spell awoke, it's tome copying it's counter part on the other side of the man, interlacing it's magical sigils flawlessly with it's predecessor, an interwoven mix of power and death dealing might. the lightning began at his feet and danced it's way towards the ball orb, dancing around it as it grew, and grew and grew into a blistering mass of purest destruction, a divine medley of light and darkness made one.

But for whom was it intended? Whom would be struck with it? There was only one he would descend this destruction upon...

The commander, the knight...

While he absolutely despised the monk, he who dared to cast upon him heretical lightning, he knew it wasn't enough to simply kill him...

He had to make him see all of his friends, his allies, choke upon their own blood.

"Witness, and despair at the wrath you called upon your fellows. You tempted my wrath, and I am not a man to be merciful after such blasphemy... Witness the first punishment for your sins."

And with that, he pointed sideways towards Orpheus, a man whom he would not even gaze upon as he rent him asunder, he wished to see the monk's eyes when this happened... To see the fear grip his heart.

The orb traveled slowly at first, then bolt like the lightning that surrounded it, the shocking trails of light hit the man first, tearing through his metal armor with destructive grace, the mass of darkness following suit slowly after as the mas moved to envelope the man, sucking the very life from his body as the lightning rent and reaped his flesh. Once upon him, the ball ruptured, erupting with a blaze of lightning and the purest white candescence.

As death moved closer, Lamont gained life anew... And thankfulness... that Rosa was within the caravan.

Mordimort stared at the large man, for a moment, she thought he was gona crush her to little bits! But then.. he... told her to keep fighting? Not that she needed encouragement anyways(baka) but the man made a good point, the battle wasn't done yet! And she still had to become the hero of this battle!

Yes! It was time to take down yet another enemy! all in the name of her glory of course!

wait... the... the one she hit..

"Hey! why are you still up!"

She shouted at the knight who finally calmed down his horse.

"What? Still... i was healed!"

"Healing!? Thats not fair! Don't do that! it's cheating!" the young woman protested, stomping his foot on the ground and looking rather pouty.

"W-w-what!? Cheating!? how is staying alive cheating!?" he asked as he looked backwards to the troubadour who was stifling a laugh. "Don't you start laughing or it'll be you in the front lines!"

"This time i'll get you for sure! You... you.... KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR!" she yelled a... insult? at the man as she started to cats her spell once more, slinging a fireball upon him once again.

"Knight in shining armor... was that a complemen- OH GOD ITS HOT!"

Hayden

Cell: E1 -> I5

Kickin' It With: Alexander & Mordi

Targeting: A2

full

Hayden was quite proud of himself for taking down two Gryphon Riders in one day, but his luck wouldn't continue. He scanned the bridge to see who among the Tarosian forces would be next to die. In typical Hayden fashion, he decided that the man who was already on fire would be a fantastic target. He dashed over to a proper position, greeting Alexander and A2 rather casually as he opened up his Shine tome. "What's up scary Archer guy and Al? Hey Al, who's your friend?" Hayden asked, nodding toward Mordi. Hayden pushed his hand forward in the general vicinity of the Cavalier, but he was facing Mordi, studying her with icy blue eyes and a blank smile. He was trying to remember if she'd been with them the whole time, perhaps someone's little sister or something that he'd never noticed cause he just couldn't be assed to care about anyone in the Assembly. In the process, he created a pretty light show. Circular golden rings danced above the burning knight, but missed him entirely.

[Hayden moves to I5 and attacks C2 but misses like a fucking idiot]

Grieves

Cell: G3->G6

Targeting: C2

Kickin' It With: Diana, Alexander

full

With his lady healed and his debt repaid to Rakhill, Grieves slid the staff into the same triple holster he had slung around his back for carrying such things. The blue orb of the healing staff gently clinked against the red orb of the restore staff, and both glimmered faintly. Now it was time to get to business. Grieves shook his head as he watched golden sparkles dance above the cavalier that seemed to have it in for his partner Alexander. He was on fire thanks to a girl that Grieves had assumed was a friend of Rakhill's. Grieves decided to put him out of his misery and told Diana, "I will return shortly, Madam." He strode past his lady and then broke into a sprint. Grieves leaped into the air and the flying butler clotheslined the cavalier to the ground, and promptly reached down and snapped his neck, sending the horse fleeing in the opposite direction across the bridge. Grieves stood up and patted down the flames on his clotheslining arm politely greeted his partner. "Well met, Alexander."

[Grieves moves to G6 and attacks C2 and kills him]

Ava

Cell: I4 -> I2

Kickin' It With: Rose, Zakai, Alecks & Era

full

Once Zakai had managed to stumble inside Ava was ready to fuckin' dip, but she spotted Alecks making his way into the carriage as well, with an archer in hot pursuit. "Eep!" Ava ducked under the seat and heard the sound of doors slamming, and the thunk of the arrow meant for Alecks landing in the back doors of the vehicle. Immediately, before the archer could reload, Ava sat up straight and snapped the reigns. Where to? Anywhere far from battle would be most appropriate. Ava had a mind to scold Zakai for being so close to all of the chaos and not cowering inside the carriage with her, LIKE A PROPER NOBLE but she knew that Herranese fighters weren't ones to run from a fight. It was miraculous he'd even bothered to listen to her after sustaining his wounds. I suppose one's impending doom would force one to behave rationally. Finally, she couldn't resist, and she stopped the carriage near a little business cleverly built at the end of the bridge for weary travelers like themselves. Good...we could use more food and medicine.

Ava exited the carriage and threw the back doors open, berating Zakai as she rummaged around for gold. "Lord Zakai Hadwin! Did you choose Vilhelmina as your bodyguard to stand around and look pretty, or did you choose her to fight for you! This isn't the training grounds back at the castle, you know! These are well trained military soldiers and they are out for blood!" Ava retrieved one bag marked "3G" and another marked "1.5G" and left the cabin, but before she closed the doors, she added, "I would advise you, for the umpteenth time to stay in the carriage and let Vilhelmina do her job! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take a gander at that general store so that we don't starve and die of illness! Hmph!"

Once again, being in no position to give orders didn't stop Ava. When she exited the carriage she spotted one of the children that she had so generously smuggled into a foreign continent. "You there! Make yourself useful!" Ava pointed at Era as she held the door handle of the store. "You will make sure no one touches that carriage, do you understand? No one!" And with that, Ava entered the store. "Good afternoon!! Welcome to Ilia's! We're having a sale on vulner--"

"No you're not. There's never a sale on vulneraries. Come now, that's the oldest trick in the book!" The cashier's eyes widened and before she could struggle to deny Ava's astute observation, Ava was already setting her bags on the counter. "You don't own this shop, do you, miss?" The cashier shook her head, looking around nervously. "N-No, it's my mother's--"

"Ah yes. Working for family...How much does that pay you, my dear?"

"W-Well the shop makes--"

"I didn't ask what the shop makes. Allow me to rephrase... How much money do you, girl, make in one day?"

"...A-About 500 gold a day..."

"About 500 gold a day, hm?" Ava repeated, drumming her fingers on the counter as a smile began to curve on her face. "Alright then. Here's 3000 gold. I'll take 15 vulneraries, 20 of...whatever's in those little food packages, I'm assuming...ingredients for travelers to cook with and what not?"

"Y-Yes, but 3000 gold is--"

"Ah ah ah~ Not done yet~! And I'll take ten sets of those ropes over there. It's the only way I can get my children to behave!" Ava laughed poshly and added, "I jest!" before she cut her fake laughter off abruptly. "I know what you're thinking. 'But m'lady, 3000 gold isn't even enough to pay for the vulneraries!' Yes that's very true, but..." Ava separated the two bags. "The 3000 gold is merely for the shop. This one right here..." Ava motioned to the lighter 1.5G bag. "This one is for you, my dear. Just for you~!" The cashier looked at the oh so tempting bag and then back at the smiling woman rubbing it as if she was petting a kitten.

"B-But what would I tell my mother? She'll notice the inventory is t-too low..." Asked the cashier nervously, and Ava knew she'd already made the deal.

Ava suddenly acted frantic, "'Mother, Mother! Big scary soldiers charged into the store and demanded food and medicine and ropes for gods know what! They said if I didn't give them what they wanted, I would be in direct defiance of the Emperor and they would behead me here and now and take everything we had!'" Ava calmed down and put her hands over her heart. "And your mother will say, 'I'm just happy you're okay my love,' and she will hug you and make your favorite dish for dinner. Meanwhile you'll make your usual 500 gold with an additional 1500 for pretty dresses and expensive desserts...and no one will ever be the wiser." Ava arched an eyebrow and the cashier looked back at the gold for a long while before asking, "15 vulneraries, 20 ingredients, and..."

"And 10 ropes," Ava said in a low voice as the girl began to collect her items.

@RubyRose @theglassangel @Kalin Scarlet Sorry it's hella fat

Alecks' condition was bad, real bad as Rose did her magic with the stave. Seeing two strong warriors coming to her for help was a huge compliment, though Ava had ruined the tranquil healing process. These are well trained military soldiers and they are out for blood! I would advise you, for the umpteenth time to stay in the carriage and let Vilhelmina do her job! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take a gander at that general store so that we don't starve and die of illness! Hmph!"

Rose gasped at the rudeness, covering her mouth in utter shock. "My lady! You mustn't insult lords in this fashion! I'm sure Lord Hadwin fought valiantly!" The maiden put a comforting arm on his shoulder, hushing him. Though she didn't disagree with Ava's proposal for Vilma to do her job, but the maid was a worrier. "Oh dear.... what if Lady Vilhelmina has gotten hurt? I-It's much too draining to heal more than one person at a time... oh no! What if my Lord Basilo has been injured! A-And t-those cookies.... they'll go to waste! It's too much!" Rosalia talked to herself as she fretted about. Taking a deep breath, she rushed over to her next patient. "Ser Alecks! You look horrible..." Waving her stave around, she gladly healed the guard and proceeded to freak out. "Oh... I only have one more stash of ingredients in my pocket... What if everyone starves themselves and it's all my fault BECAUSE ALL I HAVE ARE MERINGUES?! I'm the worst maid ever!"

The silver haired woman was tired of Vyn telling her to stay away from archers or mages. But enough was enough. As people were getting slain left and right, she itched with excitement and impatience. What's the point of having a hammer without a face to smash it into? The strangers seemed to be winning the fight already, where was the harm in getting just one more kill in and prove that she could kill some milk drinker with a fancy piece of metal? Tapping Bronwyn on the head, he flew, with the corpse in hand. Luckily, she had the advantage of being able to attack on water. "Archer!" Aaryn boldly called out to him, getting the attention of the enemy. For pure shock value, Winnie spit out Mercury's carcass in disgust as it dropped down to the water below. In addition, the white dragon snarled, gaining the attention of people at least 3 cells away (if they weren't already in battle). "Bet you never saw a wyvern like this anywhere." She smirked, gaining speed as she inched towards him. "Bet you've never met a girl that could hit this hard either~" Aaryn said, preparing her axe. Quite literally, the archer's luck got the best of him as Aaryn landed a solid hit, though nothing critical was damaged.

Doing as he was told, he tipped the scales on the four members as the elf rushed off. He wasted no time in moving as he heard a cry come from the Tarosian monk. "I CALL UPON THE MIGHT OF OUR FATHER ORD TO SMITE THE UNHOLY!" The monk dramatically threw his hand back before pushing it toward yet another foreigner, and a powerful light struck the Lord where he stood. Rolling his eyes, Vyn yelled out to get his attention. "Tarosians are mighty arrogant with their Ords and their magic, no?" He called out, making his way over. Uryva better not get himself into trouble... He thought. Vyn set his magical sword aflame as he struck the monk. Twirling the shining bronze around, Vyn was never a hard hitter. The elf was more of a man that put technique and strategy into his strikes. The tactition didn't flinch in the slightest, finding the most sensitive part of the monk's defense and piercing the area with flaming metal. Through the corner of his eyes, the man that had defeated Orpheus in front of his very eyes seemed squishy, but Edvyn had never witnessed the power of someone with both light and dark magic. Amazing... he pondered.
