It had taken a while to get everything together. After several years Mount Justice had required a rather impressive overhaul to make it ready for the Initiative. The computer system had to be completely ripped out and redesigned, the security measures updated until they were on par with the Justice League themselves. The kitchen and gathering rooms had been updated as well so that they looked like something ‘out of this century’ according to their lovely tech analyst. The lower were the most visually different however. They had been stripped and reconfigured into a multitude of rooms and hallways that could serve as the private rooms of each member that joined. At the current moment the designs were fairly basic, containing a massive room that could be set up however the occupant chose with bathrooms and closets sitting off to either side. The massive table set up for meeting was pretty much the same. The table itself had visual displays built in now at least.

Kasaimaru sat back, one eye paying attention to the clock and the rest of his attention on the various security screens. After all of the work it was finally time to open the doors and wait on those who wanted to join to show up. All those who invitations had been sent to were already in the system so he wasn’t worried about them tripping any of the rather entertaining defenses. It was just a matter of entertaining himself by seeing if he could spot them coming through the cameras, or the various other systems that he had tapped into. Most of them were with permission.

At present the kitsune was dressed perhaps a little more formal than he had to be. For now he had kept to a purely human form, no tails or even fox ears showing through the messy black hair. Instead he wore black fitted pants and a button up shirt. Not even his eyes showed his true heritage. It didn’t matter after all, if the initiative thought of him as a human. As far as they were aware he might as well be a human.

Wings of shimmering blue tilted, wind whispered over the feathers. They spread wide to just glide from current to current. It was peaceful doing that, just letting the wind carry her as it willed with only the occasional shift so that she stayed over the city below. It was a pretty thing to behold, the city. Any city really she suspected looked pretty from on high. That wouldn’t affect her decision to move forward into…she didn’t even know what.

The invitation had been unexpected, but welcome. Carmine had no real drive towards any specific paying job after all, which made saving the day on the side hard to do. She had graduated high school with high enough scores but she had no idea she would even do if she got into collage. The invitation though…it offered her a way to actually have money and a place to live and food to eat while doing what she actually wanted to do with her time.

A chime from her phone indicated that it was almost time. Shifting her wings, the feathers realigning into a pattern that had her drifting from the sky, Carmine glided towards the mountain on the horizon. The platinum hair was pulled back for now, as it usually was on a flight. It remained free of the mask she had pulled up to cover all of the features below her eyes. She might be confident enough to fly around openly, but only so long as her everyday identity remained a secret.

Steven Summers | Mecha

"Rrr..." The sound of the wheels on his skateboard burning as he skated. He grinned, lowering his torso to gain more and more speed. The young... cyborg-- human/robot right? The cyborg continued down the sidewalk, maneuvering his way around various fire hydrants and pay phones. Right now, he was just trying to be himself, enjoy what he loved because it might as well be the end. He was joining the Young Justice-- his older step-brother, Red Tornado was almost killed because of his... we're going with step-father right? T.O. Morrow could track him down, he had to think this through. Steven felt his body propel into the air, twirling around as he fell onto his back. I wasn't paying attention. He thought, swearing under his breath as he stood up. He picked up his skateboard, walking into the grocery store, picking up a granola bar. He'd payed the fee, biting down into the chocolate-- yes, he could still eat human food. As he walked out, he heard a ringing sensation in coming from his pocket. He took out his phone, nodding at the reminder: YJ Meeting, presto!

Steven licked his lips once more, tucking the rest of his granola bar into his mouth as he ran forward. His flannel jacket flailed over  his white t-shirt as he'd dropped his board, hopping onto it as he continued down the sidewalk. He'd continued to an alley, the place where he'd first met his step-brother after his escape. After about two minutes of skating, Steven skidded to a stop, unbuckling his helmet as he crept into the alley. "No one's freshened you up in a while, huh?" He questioned as a ginger-furred cat walked up to his feet, followed by the opening of one of the doors in the alley. "Give me the cat!" A busty woman asked, she seemed to be a cook. The cat inched behind Steven as he held out his chest, shaking his head. The woman grinned, crossing her hands over her chest as she licked the cooking spoon she held. "You think you can take care of that thing? So be it!" She seemed to have sworn in italian before storming off. Steven couldn't access his abilities in his human form so checking google translate was out of line. "I'll get you to a shelter, 'kay?" The cat meowed as he smiled, watching the door shut behind the woman. His skin turned light green before it became thicker-- lines forming from the mechanic work used to create him. A cape formed behind him, his hair faded back as he sighed, placing the cat over his shoulder as he flew off. The various boxes in the crime-ridden alley all flew apart as he took off.

In the air, the cat had made it's way to Steven's back, seated there as it licked his paw. "I'll get you freshened up at Mount Justice, eh? I haven't given you a name though, have I?" He questioned as he flew, trying to find the files Red Tornado had given him when he'd first met the Justice League. He pulled up his step-brother's file. appearing as various websites in his head. Though it was classified intel even the government hadn't known about, there was something about Mecha that the Tornado had seen in himself. Whether it be his bravery or undying loyalty to his allies, he never knew. "Johnny-Smith, after my older brother. How's that?" The cat just purred as Steven flew, causing him to let out a short laugh before the Mountain came into view. "Mount Justice..." He murmured before something-- someone had hit him. His skin turned a light tanned as he slowly reverted to his human form after losing focus. During the commotion he was able to see what had hit him. It was a girl, silver-colored hair, she seemed roughly his age. Hitting the other young adult had caused him to let go of the cat now as his focus was changed. "What?!" He exclaimed, looking up to Carmine before steadying himself in the sky. He took note of what would soon be decided as friend or foe before he turned back into the other guy-- the robot, as he rocketed down to catch Johnny-Smith. The cat seemed to fall faster than Mecha flew though he gained more speed, bit by bit.

Henry and George had dropped her off on the outskirts of the town near the mountain, agreeing with her worries that simply arriving with them could compromise her identity. Latisha had immediately rushed into a gas station bathroom, changed into another set of civvies, and drew up the hood so far that it had covered her eyes. Even with the precautions she had taken, she felt skittish and exposed in this unfamiliar territory. Her hands clenched over the mask currently resting in her hoodie pocket, before she sighed, exiting the station as quietly and inconspicuously as she could. The security cameras...could have been a problem, but the hood hid her face from those particular angles.

Dodging into the small alcove next to the door, she leaned against it to allow some civilians pass. Then, looking around and seeing no ones gazes, she slid the brown leather mask from her pocket and stuck it gently against her face. Confident that she was adequately hidden, she set about climbing the wall behind her as George had instructed. The task was difficult, but she knew that she would have to be willing to face difficult tasks from now. When she arrived finally on the roof, she heaved for a moment before extracting her water bottle from her backpack. Henry had been right about not taking those textbooks with her, but it was too late now. She would just have to deal with the extra weight.

After she had adequately watered herself, she tucked the bottle back into its place. Out of her utility belt came her grapple gun, and then she was rushing across the roof at a run. She aimed, at the low tree limb across the road; it was an easy target, and would support her weight the best. She jumped, adrenaline pumping as she swung from the roof and across three lanes of traffic. The wind picked up, and her hood was blown back off her head, her braid threatening to come loose and become a mess.

She landed somewhat gracefully on the soft grass, breathing a sigh of relief. She had jumped distances like that before, but not often. Glancing back, she could see drivers and passengers observing her every movement, so she unhooked her grapple, re-wrapped the line, then took off running into the trees. She peered at the mountain through the leaves as she ran, and she had to admit that it was quite an impressive site. She also caught a glimpse of specks flying below the cloud line.

"Metas." she concluded to herself as she found herself peering at the water next to the mountain. Then, approaching the Mountain she gave it a stare. It wasn't like there was a door, or the helpful signs like the ones that teachers put out during parent-teacher conferences. Feeling slightly ridiculous and and undignified, she stepped forward and knocked sharply on the stone.

A pause.

Then, nothing happened.

Warden sighed. She'd figure it out eventually.

Eric

Eric awoke early that morning, taking a couple minute to readjust, his eyes refusing to focus and ears picked up nothing. He had to wait nearly five minutes before he could get up and successfully navigate his apartment. He brewed himself a travel mug of coffee before picking up his cracked phone to see what the plan for today was. An alert popped up, 'Side quest day'. Aw hell yeah! Eric smiles, hurrying up the stairs to pull on the elaborate leather catsuit and then the mask, styling his hair just right then leaping right out the balcony window, throwing caution to the wind. On to mount justice!

Finding the place wasn't all that hard, big mountain, how easy is that? He looked to the forest, thinking he'd seen something from a distance. He walks along, minding his own business when he was met with the pleasure of a door! Hoorah! He read over the letter again before suddenly Entering: Black Cat  He nearly jumps out of his skin as the door suddenly opens just as the letter claimed it would. That works! He cautiously treads down the hallway. Side quest fox? He calls curiously, wondering if he'd see the cute little thing again.

He walks along, reading his note before looking up to see he was in the main room with the big computer and  a familiar face. A noise spurred from his throat, a light chatter that a pleased cat made. Sai! He chimes, happy to see his liberator. He opens his arms, asking for a hug.

Allen|:|Impulse

The suit was one: to keep his identity as secret as possible and two: to keep him from burning and catching fire since at the rate he ran, the friction against the air and ground could seriously injure him. Now all of this led to the thought of him being a hero himself. At times he would work alongside his father but that was a very rare occasion. Once or twice did it happen, and he only ever got a pat on the back and the usual, "You need more training first". Which definitely made him feel better.

The day he received a letter in the mail, something his father wanted to surprise him on, he was excited. It was his chance to shine and maybe even make some friends since he definitely wasn't going to be alone. He just had no idea whether or not he was ready for it all. From the time he received the letter to the date it was time to go to Mount Justice, a place he'd never been no matter how much he begged his father for the very least of one visit to the brilliantly designed area. He trained with the thought of needing to be capable of matching the skills of others. Not perfectly, but at the same level at the very least.

When the day came, he suited up. Blue eyes hidden behind the goggles that gave off a more yellow tint, body covered in the polyester scarlet and silver suit he'd had made for him. It was similar to his father's though had much less gadgets inside of him - which, if necessary, could possibly be created for him. But at the moment definitely didn't function at all in the creation - other than an earpiece to help with communication. His light brown, golden looking hair flowed from the top especially as he was sent coordinates to the mountain by his father. He'd bolted from the house, looking like merely a red and white streak to anyone he passed that could even catch sight of him. He passed cars, pedestrians, everything really. The rush of the wind against him made Julian let out a heavy sigh of relief as he continued his way along the streets and buildings. Deciding to test out his abilities, he attempted at running across the water towards Mount Justice which didn't work out as well as he planned. His energy seemed to deplete as he'd pushed himself so much to even get there which caused him to almost sink below the surface of the water. So he turned back and sat against the grass to take a break. He definitely need to work on his calorie intake.

When he arrived at the mountain, he pulled back his mask and ran circles around it curiously. Anybody got a door around here? He thought questioningly with a grunt before he simply stopped and stared to analyze his surroundings. He stood there for what felt like seconds to him but may as well have been at least four minutes trying to figure the area out for himself with a pout on his lips.

Adain

Adain whistled tunelessly as he dragged his suitcase of of the cab.  He paid the driver and set off through town.  Every so often, he checked the printout he'd made of the directions to make sure he was heading the right way.  Not that he could miss it.  Mount Justice was, well, mountainous.  But he found stuff like that helped him blend in.  And with an offer this good, that could be important.  He could have flown in sure.  But it was easier to conserve power this way.  Plus the trail of light that followed him was dead giveaway.  No need to advertise to the normals.  Not yet anyway.

Reaching the edge of town, he stopped to stare at the mountain.  Hard to believe they'd hidden a base inside it.  Smiling appreciatively, he checked the invite again, before heading toward the entrance.  Kicking of his shoes, he set off down the beach.  A little before he reached the mountain, he double checked himself on his phone.  Big mirrored sunglasses?  Check.  He didn't really need them, not for the sun anyway.  But with an offer like this, well, hiding who he was seemed like a sensible precaution.

Reaching the end of the directions, he glanced both ways.  Clear of tourists.   Good.  He looked up at the mountain before giving a quick wave.  They must have cameras here somewhere.  "Story lads?  Any hope ya'd get the door?  Hands're a bit full ya see."  He taps his foot in mock impatience before a synthetic voice speaks.   " RECOGNIZED. HELIOS.  GUEST."  Adain watched, impressed as a section of ground began to lower, forming a ramp down into the mountain.  "Well this should be a bit of craic."  He steps down into the heart of the mount, his whistling returned.

Irene Rozalez (Pink Nebula)

Irene was running late. At least running late to being early. She made most of her trip from Puerto Rico by plane, but it looked like she was going to fly herself for the rest of the trip because that was faster. After getting into town Irene had to go to her aunt's house because it was nice to see family. After getting there she rang the doorbell and the door opened in less then a second and a latin looking woman appeared in the doorway.

"¡Mi sobrina! No te he visto desde que eras un bebé. ¿Tienes novio todavía?"(My niece! I haven't seen you since you were a little baby. Do you have a boyfriend yet?) she said excitedly to her niece."Veo que todavía me haces reir tía.(I see you still make me laugh auntie)" Irene responded making a long silence. Then it was broken with hearty laughing from the two of them. Irene hugged, said her goodbyes and left flying off to Mount Justice. She flew to a nearby mountain and already saw activity around it.

A girl who kicked the mountain, a boy who was running around it,and a guy who entered. Irene thought it would be a good idea to talk to the girl to ask if she needed help so she flew down to the girl and tapped her shoulder,"¿Necesitas ayuda? Sígueme." she said before walking towards the actual entrance to Mount Justice. Irene knew that even if the girl didn't follow her the fast boy was going to catch her at the entrance because of his speed.

[Discharge]

“Whoo ha!” The buzz of electricity was as much of a warning as the sound the guy was making. Sliding sideways with a grin and a stance that said it was intentional, one Discharge, son of Static Shock made his entrance. He turned, rotating around one of the street lights before soaring up and out across the water. No worry about running out of charge right now. His father had rented a hotel room the night before, treating his son to a congratulatory dinner. That was when he had given the 17 year old his old Static Saucer. Compared to the manhole cover he had been using before this thing was a breeze. Plus, the iconic piece combined by the coat and the emblem on his chest marked out exactly who he was related to, even if his colors ran to black and orange rather than blue.

Skating around the edge he was just in time to look up and catch the arrival of other heroes. Grinning he called up to them before skirting off the side. They seemed to have their own drama anyway. His concern was more to do with them being there. Worked better than an alarm clock to see when everyone arrived.

Dropping down across the water he made for the entrance his father had told him about. Something about that being where the planes had launched from? It sounded more hidden than a few of the others. Balancing carefully as he stood before the markers he had been told about he raised his hand. “Discharge, checking in.”

For a moment nothing, then the door beeped and slid open. Far larger than the average door for a guy. He could see it being for one of the fancy little planes. Gliding forward he landed a little harder than he meant to, and kicked the disk up into his hand, folding it away. [Entering: Discharge]

Grinning he made his way down through the maze to the main room. Good, looked like there was a few already there. “Sweet digs.”

[Blackbird]

Michael Roth’s entrance was far more subtle than some of the others. This mainly being because he hadn’t bothered to go through the rather bright town. Instead when the time came, he raised his hands in the room that had been his for his childhood and beyond. The spell fell from his lips easy enough, the portal opening into a swirling black and purple pit. Sliding the backpack over his shoulder, he took a last unreadable look at the place he had grown up and stepped through the portal, away from Azaran and into the realm that had shaped his mother.

The shadows that had gathered on one side of the mountain shivered, and then seemed to condense. The boy that stepped out of them really did look like he had been formed of shadows like the door. A black shirt clung to the pale skin under the robes, showing that the boy wasn’t all just magic and spells, he trained his body as well. Baggier pants were held up with a belt that showed the same red crystals set in gold as the one that held the deep blue robes shut. The pants were pulled tight at the calf with more bands, giving way to combat boots. For now the hood hid the rest of the features, plunging his face and hair into a void of black.

Settling the bag better on his back he raised his hand to the mountain. No point in trying to find the door. Instead he drew in a deep breath, and then stepped forward and his form seemed to collapse into shadows again.

He phased out into the room where the others were gathered, walking on silent feet to place his bag on the table. It seemed he had gotten here in plenty of time with no odd side effects from the realm crossing.

Adrian O'conners

Having travelled on his motorcycle for the last several hours Adrian O'conners pulled into Happy Harbour relieved at the prospect of stretching his legs and finally arriving at his destination. It would have taken much less time to fly straight from Toronto, but having a mundane method of transportation would be necessary unless he wanted to take the bus or resort to using his powers to travel anywhere out of comfortable walking distance. It was true that not everyone was as anti-metahuman as they used to be, but there were still enough of them out there to make staying off the radar a more desirable option; at least for now anyways.

So with that in mind Adrian found a place to park the motorcycle in town before travelling the rest of the way to Mount Justice on foot, Mortimer taking advantage of the slower pace to stretch his wings and terrorize the local birds—occasionally returning to use Adrian as a shield for when someone proved tougher than that last they looked. Eventually they arrived at the base of the mountain and located the nearest entrance. Adrian approached the massive metal doorway cautiously, taking his time to look over the imposing metal wall. A familiar tingling sensation that had been building up behind his eyes along with his growing curiosity prompted them into shifting to something better suited to picking up tiny details in the dark. Green eyes becoming reddish-orange and hearinging growing more sensitive as the aspects of Bubo Bubo improved his senses.

The shapeshifter studied the entrance, easily noticing the tiniest of flaws and scrapes within the surface of the metal and picking up the faint hum of machinery working from within. There were small cameras expertly tucked away in rock surrounding the door and he waved at one experimentally, wondering at what the reaction would be. "Er... I'm here in regards to the letter, and if you could open the door that'd be great."

"Recognized. Morpheus. Guest." An artificial voice responded pleasantly and the large door opened to emit the pair into the Young Justice Initiative headquarters. "Thanks." They wandered into one of the halls, Adrian following the fresh trail of scents that probably belonged to the other initiates and it wasn't long before they were standing near another door that must've belong to the designated meeting room going by the sounds of multiple voices and movement coming from within. Before he decided to walk into the room himself, Adrian gently moved Mortimer from the top of his backpack—which the parrot had been trying to unzip— to his wrist where he could be held nearly at eye level. He held the grey parrots beak with gentle fingers to ensure his attention was focused on him and not on their new environment, because as tempting as it was to let the bird explore to his hearts content it was neither the time nor place to due so and Adrian was still not sure if animals were allowed within the building. "Shhh Morty. Quiet time OK?"

"Roger roger Cap-ee-ten sir."

"Good boy." Adrian gave the bird an affectionate pet before setting him on his shoulder, and pushed away the tension in his frame that threatened to break out in the form of black, diamond shaped scales; attunement switched to something more familiar. The doors sliding open automatically, Adrian entered the meeting room and went to stand somewhat near the other initiatives, keeping some space between them and placing his bags gently down to rest at his feet. Mortimer stayed perched on his shoulder, excitedly bobbing his head and flaring his bright red tail this way and that in response to the stimulus of a new environment and the growing number of people, but seeing as he did indeed intend to behave himself for time being the shapeshifter pulled a small bag of fruit slices out of one of his pockets and handed it to the parrot who squawked in delight at the sight of his favourite snack; "Much obliged! Much obliged!"

Sai

Sai had turned slightly, one eyebrow raising at the first person to actually come into the meeting room. “Side quest fox?” He supposed he could have been a bit more revealing about his alternative forms. Eh, that would come with time. Shaking his head, the kitsune rose. Giving the male a brief hug he raised a hand to the others coming in. The formal introductions could wait a little bit. For now he was more concerned with getting the doors open for those who seemed to be having a little bit of trouble.

Passing to the other side of his computer desk he let his hands settle over a patch that lit up, revealing a touch keyboard. The passcode was typed in easily enough, as was the secondary one. A flash, a green success tag, and the entrances throughout the mountain whispered. Most of them involved lights flashing to alert the others where they were, each barricade sliding open. Shifted faintly to the side he brought his hand up. Just a light touch to the earbud settled in his ear, the intercoms throughout the building coming online. A brief command linked the outside speakers into his announcement as well. “Welcome everyone. All entrances should currently be open so please, do make your way to the meeting room for introductions.”

The speakers weren’t loud, so it was distinctly possible that the pair having acrobatics above the mountains airspace wouldn’t hear them. The landing bay opening on the far side of the mountain would be perfectly obvious though. Letting his hand drop he gave a slight smile to those who had gathered.

Blackbird, Black Cat, Discharge, Helios, Hummingbird, Impulse, Pink Nebula, Mecha, Morpheus, and Warden. It was far more of an impressive turnout than he had actually expected. Black Cat was of course the closest to him currently, the fox keeping close almost out of instinct. Or well…trained instinct, to stay near someone more powerful who would likely be protective. He was supposed to be pretty much only the Tech guy after all, not one of the fighters. His eyes were on the bird however, his head tilting to the side. “He seems to well trained. Is he living here with you? Us?”

Carmine

Instinct kicked in the moment that Carmine felt the disturbance in the air currents. Her wings folded around her into a beautiful defense that was the same shimmering blue as the sky around her. It took giving up the ability to stay in the sky however. Carmine dropped into a dive.

It wasn’t the best position to examine a situation from. The shields did a pretty good job of obstructing visual aids after all, and wind rushing past cut out just about any sound. Still, nothing else attacked her. Instead the glimmering flight impaired creature who appeared something like a robot was falling through the sky as well. Was this another hero that had been summoned?

Her eyes snapped in the direction the other was looking, a slight smile spreading across her lips. So he had been carrying something and had dropped it. Served him right.

Not that she was going to let whatever it was get destroyed. Unfurling the wings that seemed to almost be darkening into a gradient of blue, she snapped them. The burst of speed had the wind whistling over her feathers, the sound distorting oddly as she snapped them again, rocketing towards the ground. Probably closer to the ground than most people would be comfortable watching Carmine twisted, her wings spreading for just a moment before the force turned to the side. She swept just under the cat, arms reaching out to catch it lightly. Then she was spiraling around and up, the changed wings opening into a brilliant display.

The soft blue of the sky had been replaced with a gradient that stretched from deepest midnight at the base out to near silver white. The full spread was only visible for a few moments before they beat, placing her into a hover in the sky with the bound hair flared out behind the lithe form. “Looking for something?” The mask hid her slight smile, although it was evident in her tone.

Adain took his time as he walked through the mountain.  The place was nice.  Had a great secrete lair vibe going on.  Which was important.  No point holing up in a big rock unless it felt.... well like the inside of a big rock.  Lots of exposed stone, some water features.  "Think I'm gonna like it here" he muttered as he walked.  He'd switched his aura on as he entered.  Kept dim to be sure.  Just the faintest yellow glow around his body.  But it was a little dark, and well, to be fair, he didn't know these people.  "Could be all sorts of dodgy characters in a place like this."

He let his aura slip when he entered what he assumed was the atrium.  The place was huge.  A rock cavern with some sort of metal piece hanging from the center of the ceiling, above a training circle.  Two metal tubes were set into the wall.  He stood staring at them for a few minutes, scratching his chin. He never really had understood modern art.  "Guess its part of the super secrete vibe?" He wasn't too convinced.  But with a shrug, he turned away and continued wandering.  He left his bags in the corner of the lounge and started wandering till he found the meeting room.  The place was huge. Practically its own country compared to the tiny ass Cork apartment he was raised in.  But mostly he was just looking for others.  He was fairly curious about what sort of folks this place would attract.

A soft purr echos from the cat's throat as he hugs Sai, just happy to see him and get some kind of attention. He even did the fun 'head boop' thing some cats do when the find someone they really like. Eric of course released Sai when he moved away but he couldn't help but look around at all the fancy blinking lights.Wow. You've sure gotten this place fancy. He comments raising a hand as if he were about to poke something, then remembered his awful luck and decided against it. He thought Sai'd never forgive him if he broke anything and he really didn't want to die so soon.

Sai's mention of the bird caught Eric's attention, however he thought he was referring to him. Of course I'm well trained I- whoa. Bird! Holy shit bird! Cat instinct took over and the urge to raise a hand and swat at it prickled in his mind. But Eric fought it, realizing that his new friend would probably be less than pleased if he were to go all 'kitty antics' on them so soon.

The young speedster bounced on the heels of his feet, hands firmly stuck to his hips as he eyed his surroundings. Small cameras, some rock. Yeah, that was all he could pick up. His brain moved faster than his eyes chose to, keeping his thoughts moving far too rapidly for his own good. Nonetheless he moved to run again - until catching sight of a girl flying nearby. Well, that's a lucky power she has there - not that she's any faster than me, Julian thought to himself with most likely one of the cockiest smirks he'd ever produced. Only then did he realize he had no idea what she was saying and glanced around curiously. He wasn't willing to stay outside any longer however and sped after her, red and white lightning contorting around his body and where he'd been running. Not like it stuck, or really hurt anyone, it was just a visible representation of how his body maneuvered and remnants of where he'd originally been. It was a nice touch to his suit, if he did say so himself.

"Surge: Recognized." He heard an A.I. speak suddenly, making him freeze and turn around in a 360 motion to find the source. Yet, he couldn't.. he really needed to work on his analyzing skills. Shaking his head, he decided to run around the area as much as possible - even more so he wanted to know the area before he was told about it by anyone else. More or less so that he would sound like some sort of smarty pants. Not like he was though. Sure he was intelligent but he wasn't some big geek.. ball. Proof right there.

He finally decided to turn towards the girl though - the one that he'd followed inside of the mountain base. With a smile on his lips, he held out his spandex covered hand as if prepared for her to go ahead and shake it. "Julian, but you can call me Surge." Julian winked rather jokingly, one leg stuck out slightly to the side as he leaned towards the left. Though something made him doubt that they shared the same or similar customs since she  didn't seem to speak English as far as he could tell now. Though his free hand had gone up to the top of his mask where his hair hung free, touching at the short brown locks from his own slight habit of trying to keep things looking proper as they often got messed up from his movements.

"Why the hell did I bring so much stuff," Ibis groaned as she dragged her suitcase behind herself, making her way up to the great doors of the mountain. After staying in a cheap motel for the night and sitting next to that creepy uber driver for nearly 2 hours, Ibis was extremely eager to see her new living space and companions. Her heels clacked against the ground while she scrolled through her phone, all of her friends were told she would be spending a year in the UK. Ibis nearly jumped as a mechanical voiced rung through the mountain, seeming to come from no where "what the ff-." Suddenly, a flash crossed the sky above her and the noise of machinery began to come from the direction of the mountain. Ibis quickly picked up her suitcase and made a slight jog in the direction of the noise. The massive walls of the sliding doors grinded there way to a stop, fully open infront of Ibis. She couldn't help the smile stretch across her face as she dropped her suitcase, pulling it again, and ran her hand through the pink pixie cut as she stopped a few feet infront of the entrance. "Umm... Do I just walk in," Ibis yelled while looking around the doorway for cameras or a speaker.

"Kraken: Recognized," said an A.I. calmly. Ibis once again dropped her mouth open to a giddy grin, giggling as she walked through the doorway.

"They know my name," Ibis sung as she walked down the hallway, turning. "Oh my god, this is like some big brother shit," she continued to laugh, conversating with herself before she came to the final doorway. "Ok, ok, let's breath and get calm..." Ibis readied herself, putting on a pair of what almost looked like one sided aviators, and making a straight face before the doors slid open.

She had spent a couple of minutes yelling at the mountain. Huffing in frustration, she kicked it. A dull pain lanced through her toe, and she huffed. As she glowered, she felt a soft tap on her shoulder.

Whirling around and cursing inwardly for not paying attention to her surroundings, she found herself looking at a very pink girl. As in pink pink, and not embarrassed pink; indeed, the girl looked more along the lines of excitable, but she couldn't tell much about her personality from just one look.

Metahuman?  was her first guess, her hand sliding to the sword pommel hidden in the folds of her sweatshirt. Or Alien?

The girl spoke then, in a language she determined a moment later was Spanish. While she knew very little of the language, she recognized it to be an offer for help, and this theory was confirmed when the girl spun around with a gesture to follow her. Warily, she followed, increasingly aware of her informal attire and wondering if she should have arrived in more than just her mask.

With the help of the girl, she was able to locate a door. With a very american "Gracias", she stepped through the door, slightly flinching when a loud feminine voice blared "recognized: Warden." She marveled for a moment at this; whomever had organized this meeting must have access to better instruments than she had ever been able to afford. Then she steeled herself, striding forward and following instructions that came through an intercom located...somewhere. She'd have to investigate later.

Finding herself in the meeting room, she glanced around. She had never seen so many metas in one room before. Everyone looked so much older, more experienced.

'Don't think that.' she told herself. 'You've been training and fighting for years. You have just as much right to be here as they have.' She adjusted her stance into something more confident, proudly displaying the mask and her rugged attire and very super-powerless features for all of them to see. She gave them a nod, and went to stand along the wall. She shrugged off her backpack, making an effort not to slouch, and carefully set it on the ground in such a way that no heavy thud would draw attention to her.

Adrian O'conners

Adrian turned his focus towards the well dressed man that had adressed him; he seemed to be the one in charge of the meeting considering he'd just summoned the rest of the initiates, and going by his physical looks agewise was most likely to also be the individual whom had been mentioned in the letter as the one who would be responsible for them throughout.

"We've been working on it," though he still occasionally has his outbursts. Adrian had rescued the African Grey Parrot more than three months ago after a call had come in from the local animal shelter about a bird with a serious attitude problem that didn't seem to be making any progress under their own efforts. It wasn't the first time he'd worked with this particular group of people, having adopted and rehomed numerous exotic animals from them that required the type attention most small animal rescues didn't have the time, money, or experience to deal with. "And yeah, I was hoping so. There wasn't anything in the letter about bringing our animals, but there's no one back home I ask to take care of this one." Mortimer was clever and still prone to getting into trouble whenever the opportunity arose but it was a far cry from the pissed off, patchy-ball-of-scratching-and-biting-feathers that he had been when they'd first met. They were as far as he was concerned, making great progress. "Mortimer can be a handful if you don't know what to do."

Adrian stiffened suddenly as the other male: blond and dressed in a literal cat-suit, froze immediatly with his eyes focused on where Mortimer perched on his  shoulder. The shapeshifter recognized the catman's behaviour immediately—having both witnessed it before and experienced it himself—a hunter having locked onto their prey. A growl rose in his throat but he pushed it down before it could make it out and instead stood firmly in place, shoulders squared in a protective stance.

"NO."

Whatever the shapeshifter might have thought would happen it seemed the catman had good control of his instincts because he subsided quickly, loosing the predators edge he had possessed just moments before. Considering that this was an individual being screened for the Justice Leage Initiative it was probably by his own choice too and not Adrian's intervention, but he would remain cautious in the future non the less. "Sorry man, thought you might be going after my bird," he said. Relaxing his stance, Adrian let out a relieved sigh meanwhile Mortimer having finished his snack, raised his head to peer around curiously. Adrian tried to hand the parrot another slice from the bag in his pocket to keep him occupied but Morty just stared with narrowed eyes at the man sporting the feline attire.

"I think I saw a putty cat!"

[[Discharge]]

Discharge couldn’t help but grin at all of the people. It was quite the gathering. Different outfits, mostly the uniforms no doubt although there was a few that weren’t done up in the masks. Like the guy who seemed the oldest, and who was completely casual with the black suited guy. Interesting. Everyone’s reactions though were the greatest part. Excitement like himself, pride, anxiety, hope. Mostly he felt like gravitating towards the people who were jittering with nerves and smiles. Especially the one girl who had come down with a suitcase. He’d have to talk to her later, after the initial meeting.

That was assuming it got started any time soon. It seemed like their ring leader was more interested in the bird. Not that it wasn’t interesting, but his reaction was fascinating. “Pets are allowed?” Not that he had one, but Ovid had always wanted a dog.

[[Blackbird]]

Michael was glad that he had gotten there as early as he did. It had allowed him to look over the space before having to worry about the pressure that so many people in the same room brought. It was especially bad considering the range of emotions and that things were so active, and almost loud.

The room itself was designed well. Modern and sleek but not with the glaring brightness that came with some contemporary styles. Instead there was a functional amount of shadows, even an aesthetically pleasing amount to most people. He would have preferred more but he could understand others not caring for that.

As more and more people gathered, Michael stepped back. He shifted his bag as well, taking a position close to the other girl that had chosen the wall. Not actually close enough to be influenced by anything she did. Just to be a little more sure he set his bag down on the side the faced her, pulling up the hood to cloak his entire face in shadows. His didn’t quite close across the front. He didn’t think it looked as good on him as Raven. Instead it opened just far enough to reveal two of the gems on his belt and the gems above his knees.

Helios walks causally into the meeting room, whistling softly.  He nods to the man he assumes is in charge, since he's older than the rest before wandering over and taking a seat.  He gives a big goofy grin to the others as he sits. "Alright lads, how're things?  Sorry if I'm a bit late, but the traffic was BRUTAL.  I swear, took me an extra hour just get here.  So, I miss anything good?"  He speaks very quickly, making it a bit hard to understand him.  His accent doesn't help matters.  He leans back in his chair, grinning like an idiot as he examines the others from behind his lenses.  His jaw drops when he sees the bird.  After a minute of staring he rummages in his pockets and pulls something out.  "Polly want half a snickers?" he asks, holding up the bar.

Eric's expression falls to a scowl upon staring at the bird. Sure he didn't have the cat-like ears or tail, but if he did, they' be pinned back, and his tail would lash. Eric growls under his breath much like an angry cat. His eyes locked onto this bird. Polly's about the get a knuckle sandwich if he calls me 'puddy cat' again.  He groans, instantaneous rivalry sparking up in Eric's mind. His eyes lift before a girl with VERY fabulous hair walks in and Eric jumps up happily. Oh girl, you have got to tell me what hairspray you use. Cause you look so claw-some! Eric then laughs at his own pun deciding to go meet his new fabulous friend.

Eric could go from cool and scary assassin to flamboyant hairdresser in less than a second. All it took was someone with badass eyeliner or hair. This was one of those moments.

Carmine

At the call, Carmine shifted her wings from the hover. Drifting down, she landed nice and easy before the door that had opened so nicely in the mountain side. Her wings folded neatly to her back, the last joint showing neatly just above her shoulders. The primaries rested folded neat at the back of her calves.

:Recognizing: Hummingbird:

A slight smile showed under her mask before the wings flared out. A quick shake, and they folded back and away into nothingness. The only indication that the massive canvas had existed at all was the slits in the back of her jacket. Sliding her hands into her pockets, she walked through to the meeting room where the others had already gathered.

It was an impressive room, and an impressive collection of heroes. Her eyes swept over each, taking in the various costumes, the person in those costumes, and most important how they were sitting or standing. It appeared that most were excitedly taking the opportunity presented them. Continuing to smile she moved across to take a seat that had few behind it, and would allow her a view of the majority of the room and those who were gathered. Not that she minded people sneaking up behind. That would be their misfortune.

Sai

With the entrance of some of the last that had shown so far, Sai shifted to stand behind one of the chairs at the table. Given the sheer number he couldn’t quite help the grin, even if things were rather escalating with the whole bird thing. Reaching out he reached to tug at the hero’s ear, the physical one rather than the cat one since he wasn’t entirely sure it would stay on. “Settle after the meeting.” His eyes settled on the bird and Morpheus as well, flashing with something closer to gold that was most certainly not as human as it should have been. “If you would.”

Stepping away he grinned at those who were present. “Welcome everyone! Shall we begin with the initial meeting? I’m Mori Kasaimaru, Sai, or Firefox the technical analyst who will be dealing with the inflow of information and deciding when missions to send you out on. For now I will act as a leader although my goal is to set up someone else as the official leader once relationships have been established.” He nodded slightly to the gathered, before gesturing towards the hallway that would lead down to the training rooms. "If you all would like to introduce yourselves, or ask any questions before we head down to the training room."

"Oh wow! Happy Harbor looks so pretty!" Cindy gasped as she approached the town over the water.

"Really? I'd think a city girl like you would find a harbor boring." a feminine voice said through her earpiece.

"Well I don't know about how fun it is," Cindy said with a giggle, "but it's so quiet and peaceful looking."

"Huh. Well to each their own I guess. Anyways, there should be a mountain near the town. Do you see it?"

"That's a mountain?"

"Just barely. That's Mount Justice, where your letter said this Young Justice Initiative thing is taking place."

"Cool!" Cindy commented, adjusting her flight towards the small mountain. After a few seconds she drifted to a stop. "Hey Abigail? Thanks. You know, going behind our bosses backs and helping me."

"What are friends for?" Abigail said, then added with a chuckle, "Besides, I've been guiding you on missions since you started working for A.R.G.U.S. Like hell I was going to let you leave without one last bit of guidance."

"I just hope you don't get in too much trouble..." Cindy said quietly.

"Hey, don't worry about me. Worst thing that they could do is fire me, then I go take up that job offer from the C.B.I." There was a moment of silence. "Well kid, this is it. You're starting a new chapter in your life. Get out there and make an impression, make some new friends, and go save the world or something. Just don't forget your old mission coordinator once you reach the big leagues. He. Get it? League? As in Justice League?"

The flying teenager rolled her eyes at the attempted joke. "I'm going to miss you, Abby."

"Ditto, Cindy. Things just aren't going to be the same around here without your cheer. Oh! Ditch the communicator." she added "A.R.G.U.S can track it and I don't think you want them following you. Whelp, goodbye kid! And good luck!" And with that the coms went silent. Pulling the device out of her ear, the young woman looked at it one last time before pulling her arm back and chucking it out into the ocean.

After a moment she took a deep breath. "Well, here we go!" she encouraged herself before turning and shooting of towards the Mount Justice. A few minutes later she was flying around mountain, searching for a group of people or a way in. Finding an entrance she drifted down and poked her head. "Hello?"

- Recognized: Solaris -

"Oh wow! Cool!" Cindy gasped, stepping in and looked around. Eventually she found her way to the meeting room where everyone was gathered. Smiling, the teen fashion model/superhero waved to the group as she approached. "Hellooo!" she called out in a singsong voice.

GREEN LANTERN || VINCENT FERRIS

______________________________________________________________________________

"Mom! Stop it! I'm gonna be fine ok?!" Vince yelled into the mic of his cellphone, his voice ringing with embarrassment. He was crouched on the floor, his back against a large rock. Hidden from sight. "Don't you get that tone of voice with me Vincent Harold! You have had a very bad bad streak!" The voice on the other end shrieked, it was the voice of the infamous Carol Ferris, Vince's mother. What made her screaming worse was the way she had included his ridiculous middle name. Sure, it was in appreciation of his father, but it was a horrible combination.

"But thats okay. Just remember to be on your best behavior. I love you honey-bunny" Carol told her son before hanging up the phone. Vince internally screamed.

Vince got up from his position, pocketing his cellphone. His hands swiped at his black straight fitted jeans in an attempt at dusting them. He did the same for his old wore down brown leather aviator jacket. Vince sighed heavily as he walked out from behind the boulder, both hands in the pockets of his jacket. His right hand messing with the ring in his pocket. His left hand holding back his hair as he pulled the ring out of his pocket. Vince clenched his jaw as he slid the ring on. His combat boots were the first to go, then the rest of his clothes, it changed into a black leotard. Soon, green began to appear across his waist, continuing to his chest and his shoulders. Before long, Vince was dressed in a green lantern outfit. The only thing missing: his mask. It was a serious debate in Vince's mind on whether he could trust his secret identity to his new teammates.

The only people who Vince could think of that knew his name were the other Lanterns on Oa. But that was only cause of his similarities to his father, which he had desperately had hoped to shed. His hair was Hal's, his smile was Hal's, his stature was Hal's. They only thing that made him different was his paler skin tone, his wilder eyes, their blueness. But even the color his eyes belonged to his mother first. Vince was in need of something that defined him, something that would differentiate him from two of the worlds most famous pilots. Vince made up his mind. This team will know him as the Green Lantern, until Vince can find out what makes him so different from Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris.

A green mask appeared over Vince's eyes as he made his way up to the entrance of Mount Justice. "Recognized: Green Lantern" The AI stated as a bright light engulfed Vince. 'I can do this. I can do this', he repeated over and over. He was ready to meet the others, but he didn't know if he was ready to be apart of their team.

Eric meeps as his ear was grabbed, holding up just as Sai asked him to. Eric's thoughts of Sai were quite odd. Before all this his job was to obey Crowley's every whim wether he wanted to or not. Now he felt like obeying Sai's every whim just because he wanted to. He'd kinda wrote it off as 'repaying him'. He glances around, looking to fins the others in the room. A humming bird, an actual bird, another guy, Sai and himself. Fun group eh?

Humming bird was pretty damn cute he looked like fun. He-... thats a chick... Important question- when do I get to crack some skulls? Eric asks, genuinely curious. He really wanted to kick some ass. He'd been doing it for pay for too damn long, now he gets to do it for fun.

@AceofRoses

'Well I guess I might as well start then.'  he flashes a big goofy grin as he looks around the table.  ' Ya can call me Helios  and I'm just a regular day of sunshine. My hobbies include reading,  bad limericks, terrible puns and going for long flights in the moonlight.' His mirrored. Glasses reflect faces as he examines everyone else at the table, eyes hovering on Sai and the kitty cat.

Sara rolled up her sleeves, she had being having a hard day at work and she was so close to being done. She grabbed the last plate and washed it clean. Sara work in one of the many restaurants in the harbor and she lived in a one room apartment. Once she clocked out she pulled the invitation out of a sleeve of her uniform. Earlier when she had been getting ready for work she found it on the floor of her apartment, it looked like someone had pushed it under her floor. Considering that it was an invitation to Mount Justice she could understand why they didn't just send it through the mail. She was a little confused why she had received it since she was a little weakling. She walked over to apartments, which were just a few blocks away.

When she got in she checked the clock, it didn't take Sara long to discover that she was already running late for the meeting and almost without thinking she changed out of her uniform and tossed it in the dirty clothes and put on her outfit. She didn't put the mask on but instead she tried to conceal as she walked out of her apartments, she didn't really know why she cared to hid the mask when she could still be easily found if someone tried. It was lucky she didn't cause problems for most villains. Most of the time she just walked around caring for the sick and healing the injured. She couldn't always cure them or completely heal them but they were always better off.

Once she was a few blocks away from her apartment she slipped into an alley and put on her mask. She was only a few minutes away from the Mountain. Sara quickly picked up her pace and reached the Mountain within a reasonable amount of time although she was winded. It took her another few minutes before she found an entrance. "Recognized: Hecate." Sara was startled hearing her code name. She almost wished she could quit her job and live her life being Hecate. She walked through the entrance and spotted several faces. None of them she knew.
