Tall Bear

It’s time to stop

Israfel stood in the center of the training room, a large room, which, when turned on, was plain white, nothing in it. White floor, white walls, white ceiling. Completely blank. But, when turned on, it turns into whatever the user wants it to be. A forest, dark and twisted with branches and bushes, thick with weeds and leaves. A desert, cracked and barren, littered with dead bushes and cacti, dusty and surrounded by a dry wind. An Earth city, full of sky scrapers, cars, alleys. Anything the mind could think of. These settings were also complete with enemies, which were actually just computer synthesized holograms, but could actually cause damage. Izzy opened her eyes, and rather than being surrounded by bland white walls, she was standing in the middle of a seemingly endless prairie. Coming towards her from all sides, were six demons.

"Hallia..."

She whispered, and the scythe manifested in her hands. She gained her battle stance, and then struck as the first demon approached her at a run. She sliced through the creature with grace, sweet sounding noises from the weapons harp strings mingled with the sound of dying demon, and tearing muscles. She turned on the next, pulling out a small dagger and throwing it. It stuck into the demons chest, while it was distracted by this, she swung her scythe, slicing the creature in half.

Leliel was walking down the busier streets of Greater Heaven. This is where the High Angels, Arch Angels, and Heavenly Guard resided. He looked amongst the Angels, all of them seemed to step aside and clear a path for him. This was usual, considering that he, and the rest of the high Angels, Were the highest ranked beings that there were, just under God himself. He approached the huge glass building, which shimmered brightly like a crystal in a cave, being struck by a delicate ray of sun. This was where he and the rest of his kin lived, it contained everything, an area that was like apartments, three separate small places to eat, like what humans would call "restaurants", a training room, where Israfel spent most of her time, and some other things, which were mostly just for tending to business that the Heavenly Guard had. He didn't really care about that. He made his way up the stairs and into the large glass doors, to an elevator. He held his wings very close to him, making sure they didn't get shut in any doors, or caught on anything, which had happened.. It was painful. He rode the elevator up to the apartment floors, and walked down the hall to where he lived.

Sathariel was hanging from the roof of the training room, It had been bored and so decided to try and track down the rest of it's kin to see if they could provide it with entertainment. Currently it wasd in the form of a small gecko as it watched israfel as she twirled and thrust battling the porjection of demons that attacked her. It looked critically at these false images, to it the images seemed false barely facsimiles of what it could create with magic instead of the combination of magic and technology that powered this room. A perverse smile grew and spread across it's reptilian face as it focused on the images that were moving towards Israfel and taking swipes at her. The It turned it's attention towards Izzy focusing and allowing magic to flow through it. Then to Israfel the 4 images gave out a great howl  and then with a sick squelching sound a copy of each one projected out of their backs a foul black liquid that corroded the floor dripping off their bodies as they came free and stood alongside before starting to attack. Sath chuckled to itself but due to its form it only came out as an odd rasping breath. These new images were much more satisfying, now all that it had to do was sit back and watch.

Israfel stopped for a second, narrowing her eyes and looking around. She recognized the magic, this was the work of Sathriel, but she couldn't figure out where he was. No matter.. She adjusted her grip on her scythe and shot forward, slicing one of the creatures in half and then turning around to the others. She was about to launch another attack when she felt slimy, misshapen hands grab her from behind, searing her skin. She growled out a Yelp And summoned her sword. Stabbing the creature behind her and escaping, and then turning around and slicing the things head off. She would get Sathriel back for this later..

The he angel sent her sword away, as well as

her scythe, and cleared her throat staring at the demons intensely. After a few moments of them growing nearer, she let out a calm, siren-like noise. One continuous note. It bounced and reverberated off of the surrounding walls, making the air itself seem to move. The creatures stopped, wavered, and then, the vibrations finally sinking inside of them, began to slowly implode, sick looking black liquid seeping out of every orafice until all that was left of them was a corrosive pile of mush. She turned her gaze up to the ceiling, where she had deduced Sathriel must be hiding.

"Come out, Sathriel."

She spoke, her smooth voice sounding much calmer compared to the noise that had just decimated her opponents. There was a hope in the back of her mind that it had hurt the other angels ears.

Sathariel saw the intake of breath just before the sound was released, bracing it felt the rush of energy as it flowed over and around it. Sath was vaguely aware of the noise and it caused a little discomfort but due to the lack of ears in this form the sound only hit it as a force pressing it into the ceiling rather than the ringing that often occampanied. Sath watched as all of the creatures imploded forming a sludge, the ones that it had created flickered before vanishing back into nothing, looking back on it it could have been more fun to just leave them as illusions rather than spending the energy to make them corporeal. Israfel looked up to the ceiling and sath was vaguely aware of her talking. guessing at the purpose of her words the air around Sathariel shimmered as it's form began to shift and it blinked into the space behind Israfel the training room projections shutting down as it did. Sathariel formed back into it's native form before speaking as if on Israfel's shoulder. "You called, did you need help with something." It's voice was raspy and had a medium pitch with a slight manic edge to it. Additionally if you listened to the voice you could hear a multitude of smaller whispers accompanying the main voice each whisper unique in it's vocal pattern.

"in fact, I do."

Izzy spoke, her silky voice sounding in a professional tone. She turned with a disapproving eyes towards Sathriel. It's voice, which would have made many others uncomfortably, was something she was used to by now. She had known this angel for many millennia.

"Why did you find it nessescary to.. "See in" on my training session?"

She questioned the other, her darkly toned eyes slamming its slouched over figure, a look of distaste passing over her before disappearing. She sighed a little and looked at the individual who she might loosely call her "friend"

"and couldn't you at least try to stand up straight?"

Israfel had tried on countless occasions to get Sath to practice having good posture. It had never worked.

"hehehe, you were being the most 'interesting' being inside of the tower and it looked like you were finding it to easy to fight these inferior illusions." Sathariel continued speaking in its slightly odd voice before a humerous tone could be picked up within it "besides did you not enjoy my pets" gesturing with a raising motion at the ground as another illusionary demon appeared before vanishing again. As Izzy voiced her criticism over Sathariels posture a heat haze sprung up around it with the smoke thickening then after a few cracking bones the smoke fell away completely revealing a mirror image of Izzy but with a mad look in her eyes and a wide smile adorning her features. Speaking in an exact replica of her voice "Do you prefer it when I look like this. Dear sister" It's voice taking a mocking tone towards the end. Sathariel had never got why Izzy was so determined to try and make it correct it's posture perhaps this would discourage her. At the same time Sathariel started wishing that one of the other high angels would arrive back into the tower because as fun as tormenting Izzy was some of Sathariels other siblings were so much more fun to torment.

Israfel knew what that was. A jab at her, like she would let that be the last of it. She grinned slightly, looking the figure up and down.

"I actually do quite like that. It suits you, Sath."

She spoke, an equally mocking tone in her voice. She hummed slightly and then walked around the angel, analyzing it.

"Although, if you're going to fool anyone, and convince them that your me, you'll still have to work on how you carry yourself."

She was nothing short of  smug at this point, her arms crossed, waiting for Sathriels next move in the little game it had started

Sath's eyes narrowed at the smug look on Israfel's face, so she thought she could pick a game with the deceiver and win. Well it would show her how to play this game.

Even as it was thinking this an evil idea came into Sath's mind. Slowly Sath turned as if admiring it's new form then in a sweet imitation of Israfel's voice "Do you think it looks good personally I think that it's missing something. Ah, I know".

Waving a hand over it's body the smoke and haze covered Sath's body moments before it reappeared still looking like Israfel but with several key changes.

The most noticeable was that the form was now completely naked  and that it was covered in all sorts of different sexual toys all in their appropriate positions. Then Sath spoke up in a seductive variant of Israfel's voice "What about now sister, I think I prefer it looking like this".

Izzy's eyes widened, her face heated up, turning a deep shade of blue, unlike the usual red that would appear if a human were to start blushing. She moved away from Sathriel quickly, disgusted and surprised by what she was seeing. After a few moments she closed her eyes and scolded the other angel blindly

"S-Sathriel, knock it of! That's extremely inappropriate!!"

she tried desperately to get her face to cool down, although it was quite hard when she could hear some of the.. "toys" that Sath had conjured up.

Israel felt, in one word, exposed. She hated that Sath was such a talented deceiver, its powers being able to go in depth like this even though it itself, had never seen her like this. That she knew of anyway.. Although she realized that it wasn't technically her that was naked and indecent, it still made her feel vulnerable. And this irritated her. She crossed her arms over her chest self-conciously and glared at the floor.

Suphlatus stood still, looking out on the endless horizon of heaven as she thought deeply - something she was known to do a lot. A dream had disturbed her rest, and this led her in to one of the many gardens of light that she treasured. She probably should have gone and consulted someone about what she had seen in her dreams, but there was nobody she could think of. The angels under her command were currently on Earth surveying under her private request, and there was no specific high angel that Suphlatus could fully call a friend and entrust her thoughts and experiences to. Even if someone were to offer themselves up for consultation, she highly doubted that she would be able to impart them with what she vaguely remembers from the dream.

... Black and silver fire. An end, not soon, but definitely not far off. In that end, creation. Those words, in that exact order, represented what she remembered of the dream.

Af, Angel of Anger

Surprisingly calm

It was a rare moment for Af to not be in the mood to break everything within her line of sight. The amount of times another High Angel had to physically restrain her to keep her from attacking another one of her kind or even one of her own underlings was uncountable, but that was sort of to be expected from the physical embodiment of anger. The only times she ever seemed to actually be calm was immediately after she'd woken up, or if she'd had a particularly good day. This time, it was the former- She hadn't even been awake an hour, so there hadn't been much to piss her off.

"Suphlatus," She said when she saw a familiar Angel staring out at the horizon. No, she wouldn't call Suphlatus a friend, but she definitely didn't have anything against her, so she didn't mind talking to her, "Whatcha doin' out here?"

@That Guy Over There

"Good morning, Af. I'm simply thinking out here after waking up. My soldiers are all extremely capable, so they don't leave me much else to do except wait and think I'm afraid." Suphlatus didn't think that a vague memory of what might be called a nightmare was something to share with Af, especially considering that she was in one of her rare pacified moments and everything should be done carefully to minimize the commotion today. Suphlatus turned around so that she could look at Af as they spoke, and her hooves clicked against the silver and gold floor. "And what about you? I've never taken you to be the type to like the gardens, but maybe that's because I've had the unfortunate luck to see a good person only in their worst moments." Suphlatus' reclusive nature meant that she only went out and saw Af when she was rampaging, after all. It could be an understatement to say that Suphlatus only knew half the high angels as far as their names.

Gliding silently through the heavenly gardens Azreal felt calm,as always.Looking at the beautiful garden Azrael couldn’t help but smile lightly.Currently he was in his second form, the form that he used the most. The mortals called this form the grim Reaper.Mostly because of the aura they felt.Normally his aura wouldn’t be on around mortals but they were so weak they got affected by it anyway.Mortals were truly weak indeed. As he continued to glide through the heavenly graden he would see Suphlatus and Af standing and watching the horizon.Normaly Azreal would not bother to go to his siblings especially with Af there. Her temper was truly annoying, even he couldn’t find anything good in it.This was coming from the guy who saw good in dirt.Today however he glided towards them silently and unnoticed by his siblings.Stopping right behind Suphlatus and speaking in a voice that was quite and beautiful  “Suphlatus it is not often that we see you around. He would face Af before greeting her as well.

Leliel eventually made his way into the garden after a while of wandering, his stride even and soundles, as if her were floating. He couldn't help but noticing the small group of his siblings mingling off to the side. Although, unlike them, he preferred not to be social. He lowered his head and quickened his stride slightly, hoping not to be noticed and called over by one of the more social high angels in that particular group. Changing the simple phrase of 'don't notice me don't notice me don't notice me' silently in his head as he walked through the large clearing the group was standing on. Though he was a good distance away from everyone, he had a nagging feeling that he would, in fact, be noticed by someone.

Sathariel let out a small cackle before the smoke began to reappear and the sound of cracking bones could be heard. "As much as I do enjoy that form and you make such wonderful conversation I must leave there is more trouble to be had" As Sath spoke It's voice changed from being audible to being purely inside of Izzy's head. As soon as Sath finishes speaking a small raven bursts out of the smoke and looks like it's about to fly into the wall before it vanishes.

Sath circled out around the outside of the tower letting out a small caw as it found what had distracted it from it's fun with Izzy. Even with only a limited ability to read thoughts matras always had an excellent way of broadcasting themselves over a wider area. Sath began to dive down towards Leliel as it gently brushed against it's mind trying to make itself one of his thoughts, "But why are we bothering to hide".

leliel stalled for a second, surprised by his own thoughts. He looked down, and stopped walking. Was he kidding himself? There was never a point to hiding-- 'I'm not hiding.' He assured himself. Sure, of course he wasn't hiding! He was just.. avoiding constant. Like he usually did. Why should today be any different. He shook his head and kept walking again, moving a little faster now that he had stopped for those few seconds

Israfel looked around the training room, which was now empty. She sighed, and urged the heat in her cheeks to go away, before collecting herself and leaving the room, adjusting her training gear. She would then walk back to her own living quarters, which was decorated with a lot of paintings- her own paintings. And countless plants. Some of them were heavenly, grown from the gardens nearby. Others were from earth. Things she had found, and liked. Her living space was cozy. A lot of the furniture was soft, and comfortable. Lots of carpets and rugs. The tables were all wood and glass. She walked to her bedroom, thin white drapes hanging over the windows, and removed her ichor soaked training garb, and tossed it aside. She then changed into a dress, long and flowing. It went to about her mid calfs, And was white, the sleeves fell loosely around her elbows. She sighed and smiled, now having put the run-in with sathriel behind her, she walked into her living room and stood in front of a large, floor to ceiling window that was responsible for most of

the light in her house. She looked out at the surroundings, watching the lesser angels mill around on the streets, going about their business.
