Fandom Fallout Online

Martin had spawned in to the starting vault some time ago, and now things were in full swing. A large chunk of the people who had arrived were in the atrium. Martin took a walk around in the atrium, and saw all the people hanging out. Some were at the restaurant, having some Nuka. Others were listening and dancing to the live band in the middle of the atrium. At this time, they were blasting out a cover of "Atom Bomb Baby". Martin sang along in his head " Atom Bomb Baby, loaded with power, more radioactive then a TV tower". Still more people were in a corner, in a makeshift altar, praying to "Godd Howard" Someone in the crowd spotted Martin's username, and yelled "Zombie goasts leave this place!" at him. Martin chuckled back and said "I know, right?". Grabbing a Nuka from a machine, he began to drink it, when an announcement came on the PA.

"Attention all resident of Vault 246! This is the Overseer. In just a few minutes, we will be leaving our fine Vault, to start life in the Wasteland. We'd advise for all Dwellers to make their way towards the exit immediately. Thank you." Hearing the announcement, Martin decided to get ready to enter the Wasteland. Pulling his pistol, a pre order reward, out of his holster and looking at it, he brushed by two people examining their PipBoys and wondering why the only music their radios would play was military marches, and headed for the door marked "Entrance".

Mia had been milling about she had been excited to get into the game, she had in fact got the collector's edition which gave her a really cool weapon that was a pistol flamer, something that was nowhere else in the game. Sadly despite how cool the weapon looked it was in essence just a laser pistol, but if this was anything like the other games in the series throughout the ages even just a pistol might get her thought the game. She wouldn't have to of course as there would be other weapons like mini guns, and flame throwers. The vault was nice but Mia wanted to get out and have some fun she had other things to do today namely get something to eat and do some cleaning.

Then the announcement was made they would soon be leaving, thank goodness she could finally do some leveling, well she would do a lot of running then level up exploring was good and where was the harm there had to be some kind of scaling system or something so she could go just about anywhere. Also she would like to go out and away from others so she wouldn't have to wait on respawns and what not competing with people when you could just run out and have all the mobs for yourself just didn't seem wise. So Mia like many others went to the entrance ready to be let out into the waste land.

At the entrance, Martin was awaiting the call to open the vault feverishly. He couldn't wait to get out of the vault and joing his faction, the IRN, and doing missions for them. He was talking with some other people who were gawking at his pistol. He bragged a bit about it then turned his attention to the vault door. People were counting down the seconds to the opening, until, at last, the vault door was pulled open, and the residents stepped outside, and into the bright sunlight. This sunlight was, however, quickly blotted put by a Vertibird landing in front of the Dwellers. The Vertibird was marked with a Super Mutant head with a big X through it. It also had a motto on it. "Godd" does not exist". As a few heavily armored soldiers, and a guy in a periwinkle suit climbed out, and people got closer, to see who he was.

Ok that was a strange event to open with, some guy coming out of a vertibird. Mia could tell that they weren't enclave at the very least but apparently they couldn't spell God no one apparently could. Still she wanted to get past this event and get into the game she didn't want to hear admin's welcome speeches just let them have fun and play the game. Mia wondered if perhaps she should just log off for a little and come back after the rambling speeches, really couldn't they just send letters.

*Alistar started toward the unbearable light that emerged through the thick doors. His belt weighed under the iron of guns around his waist, he sighed and breathed in the ancient air from the outside. It would be in his lifetime, he'd get to venture the wastelands of outside the vault. Alistar kept a good distance from the others, but remained behind, clearly stating who's side he's on. Once the people walked forward, he pulled out his holster; a heavy pistol with the scope. He held it in his fist by his face.*

The man in the suit began to speak, seeing all these new faces around him. "Hello everyone" He began to speak in some strange British-Southern accent "My name is Adam, but please call me Qibo. I am the moderator of the site No Mutants Allowed, and the newly elected president of Fallout Online. I'm sure you're wondering why I'm here. Well, allow me to explain. We at NMA, ever since your precious little Bethesda ripped apart your franchise, we have been waiting for a time to get our revenge. The very moment is saw this fine game revealed, i knew it wads time to strike." A person from the crowd asked him what was so menacing about what he had done to the game.

He chuckled a bit and replied to that remark. "Why don't you check your fancy little PipBoy?" Soon, the people in the crowd began to look around on their PipBoys, until one announced a missing option on the menu in great shock.

"That's right" the man continued. "We've trapped you in here. But that's not all. We've also disengaged safety protocols. That means sim death, means real death" He let the words hang in the air as a shock of terror ran through the crowd.

Mia didn't see why anyone would trap anyone in a game to prove anything going to an extreme meant you lost the argument in an instant because you became the bad guy the second you did. Still Mia checked her pipboy and the option was gone they were stuck here because someone had forgotten to put an easy out switch for people they were busy or had erratic schedules. This plan really made no sense to Mia what did this prove that the company had ruined the game, that was what fans cried out every time even the tiniest thing changed even if what they changed had sucked and they had only made it better these people defined themselves by what they bitched about. Mia would have attacked but no doubt this admin didn't even play the game properly and had engaged the godmode and given himself the best weapons despite no doubt complaining that the gave out powerful weapons to easily. Well this just meant she would have to be careful because apparently these idiots didn’t remember in all the other games from the start there was no perma death.

Qibo observed the crowd of panicked people. However,a few people were doubting the validity of his claim, so he pulled out a 9mm pistol, and said "I can't help but notice that a few of you are doubting my claim, so why don't we demonstrate? Are there any Canadian players in the audience today?" A few nervous hands raised. Martin hid his IRN pennant, and looked on in horror. Qibo pointed over to a nervous young man. "That one, over there. Bring him to me." The Canadian took out his SMG, and tried to gun down the men in power armor charging towards him, but they knocked his gun out of his hands, and dragged him up to the "President". He then forced him up to his knees, and asked him what his name was. " T-Toby" the Canadian managed to choke out. Qibo laughed, then stated "Too bad I don't give two shits." Placing his pistol to Toby's head, he announced "This is for Fallout Ronto, you pieces of shit" and pulled the trigger. The Canadian fell to the ground, and began to struggle away, half-dead. Grumbling, Qibo walked over to him, and shot him again. He then turned to face the Dwellers, who were all sharing the same expression of fear of this man.

Well fair play was not these peoples specially they had cheated in their items enabled god mode and still they complained about the game being ruined. Well someone had to show them that they were even worse than what they complained about they were now the villains and that meant someone had to do something, but the cowards had clad themselves in power armor, well all but one. Mia was fairly sure that they were all cheating and all had activated god mode but still she was going to do something really stupid while other might have guns she had fire and fire burned away filth like this man. The worst that would happen is she died and Mia was fine that it would be a moral victory.

There was the issue of the power armor clad figures but their armor would be slow because of how bulky it was unless they were cheating , so in theory she could rush him and get close enough to unleash a gout of flames into the man's face.

Mia moved through he crowd to the front then placed her hand on her weapon and after a few second she drew it and started rushing right at the man, not waiting to get close enough for a sure hit she squeezed the tiger and unleashed to small torrent of flame and continued to hoping to catch him full in the face with the fire before the armored guardians intercepted her and she should they could either block her flames or they could move to catch her which would give her more time to cover the man's face in cleansing flames.
