Lord of Wolves
Shadow woke up by the morning sunlight shining into his eyes. He rolled on his side and stretched his paws before opening his eyes. He had completely forgotten that there was a female wolf laying behind him, he still wasn't really used to travel with her.


He shook his black pelt and looked around a bit. There was a flick of Shadow's tail as he spotted a rabbit nibbling on some grass. He took a leap and jumped on top of the rabbit, his large claw crushing the small rabbit's head. Shadow laid down satisfied and started eating the rabbit.

Star was sleeping silently, tail curled around her self to keep warm. The scents of kill awakening her senses, noticing the male eating the large rabbit. Her stomach growled as she looked down at her stomach, shaking out her fur before padding out and past the male, disappearing with the mist as she looked for a morning kill. She looked around for a bit, lowering to the grass as she noticed a fawn and mother. The mother disappeared off, the fawn laying still. She slowly crept up, pouncing on the little fawn and snapping the neck before dragging it to safety as the mother deer ran.
 
Shadow smiled and looked up as the female passed him. "Morning Star" he wanted to offer her the rabbit but she was gone already and it didn't take long before he heard a sound of cracking bones. Shadow smiled and stood up. He picked up the rabbit and walked over to Star. With a smile, he laid down next to her and continued his breakfast. He looked at the little fawn for a second and flicked his tail before focusing on his own rabbit again

Star mumbled around the deer Dawna morning, dropping it. She smiled as the male laid beside her, eating half of the fawn and letting him have the rest. Her ears tip waisted this way and that as she heard the sound of running water, ears perking strait forward. Blood covered her muzzle as she desperately tried licking it off, enjoying the taste it left after it was gone.
 
Shadow looked up rather surprised as Star left half of the fawn for him, but he certainly wouldn't deny it. So, after finishing his little rabbit he went for the fawn and ate it quickly. He then ran after Star towards the river she went to. He dipped his muzzle in the water to get the blood out of his fur and from his teeth. He smiled and licked Star's cheek with a grin on his lips.

The white female sat down,moaning at his muzzle playfully. She looked back at the water, grinning her sharp teeth as she crawled towards the water and jumped in, cleaning her fur and climbing out after she had finished. She giggled softly, putting her wet nose against his cheek gently, leaving a small wet spot and a small lick. She smiled and batted her tail in his face as she walked along the water,
 
Shadow was surprised by how Star acted, but he would never complain. From moaning to the tail swept in his face, he just loved how she knew how to tease his feelings. As soon as her tail came close to him again, he gently grabbed it in his mouth, not hurting her but just nibbling at it playfully. Shadow was wagging his tail quickly and grinned teasingly while holding Star's beautiful tail.

Stars tail moved while he had ahold of, wagging it. She couldn't get it to stop, having just to much fun to stop awaiting. The smaller of the two, got on her back, paws raised in surrender as he nibbled at her tail. ,asking her giggle and smile. Her back paws touched the front of his shoulder, pushing him gently and playfully. She had missed her old friend, and now that she had him back, everything was normal again.

Shadow smiled, knowing that of wolves showed their stomach it was a sign trust. He growled playfully as Star pushed him away and he let go of her tail. He walked over to her and laid down next to her before he started to lick her exposed stomach with a grin. His tail was wagging quickly and he looked at Star as he kept licking. Carefully, he rested I me of his paws on her chest to keep her down.

Star's first extinct was to twist and turn at the the new feeling. It felt.. Actually kind of good! She put her paws on his forehead, giggling as she felt it starting to tickle."I-It tickles!" She laughed as she felt the licks. Her back paws kicked as she tried to escape his grip on her. She raised her muzzle, nipping at his paws gently. She batted her silvery blue eyes at him, trying to see if he would let her up.
 
Shadow grinned and kept teasing Star a little longer. "I know, I love it too" he said between the licks. "Your belly is so soft and lickeable" he said with a grin as he pulled back. He laid down next to Star and snagged to lick her muzzle and ears constantly. His tail was still wagging and he eventually rolled on his side himself, almost rolling into the river.

Star giggled, rolling over and shaking off her fur. She smiled, standing over the male wolf and nipping his ears gently. She smiled, licking his muzzle before bounding off back towards the den."Catch me if you can!" The small wolf called as she hurried off. She was a fast runner for her size, panting as she did so. She eventually found her self at the back of the cave. Trapped. She quickly spin around, her light fur sticking out in the dark.
 
Shadow smiled and quickly stood up. He was a quick runner with his rather large body and quickly reached their cave after Star did. Shadow's pitch black fur disappeared into the darkness of the cave, only his bright blue eyes were visible as he slowly approached Star. Eventually, when he was close enough, he bumped his into her chest and knocked her over on her back. He stood over her and grinned. "Gotya"

Star looked up at the male, batting her eyes helplessly. She put her paws up to his cheeks, pushing them and making he do funny faces before reaching up to lick his gentle and soft fur. She nipped at his nose, letting her paws drop to her chest as she put her nose against his.
 
Shadow wagged his tail and got a bit lost in the moment. He just stood there for a minute or so, letting their noses touch each other. He grinned and than stepped away from her to lay down next to her and cuddle up to her, letting their two pelts rub together. He smiled and played with Star's ears a bit, nibbling and licking them.

Star smiled at him gently, laying her head on top of his paws. She nibbled and licked his neck, giggling softly. She curled closer, smelling another brute scent and getting scared. She stayed closer to him now, not wanting to be separated from her dear friend. Her eyes shut as she shivered in fear of the new scenting male.
 
Shadow had his nose pressed against Star's ear and wasn't smelling anything, but he did feel her cuddling up closer to him and he also felt her shiver which clearly made him concerned. "Are you alright?" He said as he kept playing with her ears? "Or do you want me to stop?" He asked rather sadly. Right now, he just wanted to make Star feel happy, not to make her feel bad

"You don't smell that?" Star asked as she lifted her head slightly. She did enjoy his gentle and loving nudges. She smiled softly, shaking her head as a no to stop. She buried her head into her neck fur as the scent became stronger, thicker smelling,
 
Shadow stopped playing with Star's ears and sniffed up the air. He immediately started growling softly and stood over Star to protect her. He sniffed the air again and could smell the scent but had no idea what it was... or where it was. Shadow kept alert and had his ears perked as he looked around.

Star curled herself into a ball tail wrapped around herself. Her eyes peeked out over her tail, pressing her nose into his side gently. She couldn't believe the smell that became stronger and stronger. She eventually out her tail against up her nose, shaking her head.


Little did the two wolfs know, a large brute was looking around for a specific female. He needed one to have his pups and start the new pack,
 
Shadow tried to keep as silent as possible. He was acting like a statue and only briefly sniffed the air now and then and growled softly as he smelled the scent that was becoming stronger and stronger which meant that its owner was coming closer and closer to the two wolves locked in the cave.

The brute smelled the air, sensing female and another male. He growled, the growl deep voiced and echoing. He slowly made his way towards the cave, seeing shadows. The large brute never backed down from a fight, letting out a loud snarl.


Star curled closer to Shadow, obviously scared.
 
Shadow snarled in return and growled loudly. He bared his large fangs and kept standing over the small ball of fur underneath him. He would do everything to protect Star, even if that would mean his death.


Shadow wasn't afraid of the other male and also not afraid of fighting. He would try to best this brute up until he ran away crying.

Star stood, biting down on Shadow's tail quietly and pulling him to the back of the cave befor hiding under him again, acting as if she had been asleep. Her eyes shut tight, clenching as they did so.


The brute snarled as his head peaked into the den, noticing darkness.
 
Shadow was glad as he noticed the brute apparently hadn't notice the presence of Star and Shadow yet, but Shadow knew that he would spot Star's fur eventually. He slowly lowered his body and laid down on top of Star, covering large parts of her white fur with his black fur. As Shadow laid down on top of Star he still kept staring at the brute.
