*Perks*
Louise doesn't like someone else telling her what she can't do. If someone does, she can be very feisty and she'll show it to anyone that they're wrong. She can sometimes be confident too, especially if she knows what she's doing. If it is confidence base on people, don't worry, she sees the best in anyone and everyone. Though sometimes, she can be sassy and witty when she's very cranky and annoyed.

*Quirks*
Recites the colors of the rainbow in order and repeatedly when nervous. Her mumbling when being excited and anxious was a slight

problem as well.

*Strengths*
She learned how to be independent and fend for herself. The girl doesn't know when to give up.. She's headstrong, hopeful, and resilient when she wants something to be done. Louisa is caring and likes to tend to other people..

*Weakness*
Louisa can be a little awkward and a bit of insecure growing up without her parents' reassurance. A bit of a klutz and a goofy too. Louisa can be very impulsive sometimes. well, no, she is impulsive and tends to be reckless. She likes to do things first without thinking. And her impulsiveness sometimes leads to trouble. Though nothing she can't handle. But there are times when she is gullible and naïve.

A loud cry of a baby woke up the entire residence of St. Claire's Orphanage one bitter winter night. Everyone inside the household was shocked and flabbergasted knowing that they don't have any baby inside their home. The Mother Superior got up and went outside to check, when a crying baby inside a box greeted her. The box had no notes or other things aside from the blanket wrapped around the little girl. Sighing, she took the baby in and prayed for its parents' decision.

The little girl was named after a classic writer. They don't know what to call her, since the mother of the poor child didn't bother on giving her any, and when the cook of the orphanage looked at the girl, he immediately thought about the name, Louisa. He was busy reading Little Women earlier that day and it just got stuck in his head. Plus he told the others that Louisa is a name that has something to do with warriors, from her cries, he knew that she's a fighter. A tough one. He bet that she's going to be a resilient and will endure any hardship.

True to his word, Louisa grew up to be a one cheerful girl. Who smiles even when facing a problem. She's a little stubborn but still one of the nicest kid in the orphanage.

Favoritism among children in the orphanage is bad and not to be condone with. But the staff of the orphanage got taken a liking to Louisa. Especially the Mother Superior. She wasn't like any other kids inside the house, yes, she's a little headstrong, but she is sweet kid filled with hope.

When she was seven, a lovely couple who was looking for a new addition to their family came to the blessed orphanage. The kids were playing out in the playground when an SUV stopped in front of the orphanage. As much as the kids were having fun in their little lives inside that institution, they still craved and beg for the real attention and close comfort of having a place where they can call home and people whom can they call 'mom and dad'.

As soon as the expensive shoes of the newly arrived couple crunch the tiny pebbles of the path walk in front of Saint Claire's, the children all came running down to them. They knew the drill themselves, they have to be nice, behave and charming when people step inside the premises so that they will have the chance on having a normal life, but the kids were always excited. They were nice and charming but the behave part was gone. Either way, the couples were surprised and actually happy with their greetings.

Every kid were talking to them, everyone but Louisa. When all of the kids were happy to leave the place, Louisa prefers to

stay. She loves her entire family and she doesn't need a new one. She has lots of grown ups to be called mom and dad so she was a little confused as to why the kids were trying their best to be picked. The woman suddenly took notice of her when the children cleared out and started to play again, Louisa wasn't exactly rude but she just stared at the woman. She talked and the girl answered curtly as possible. After a few minutes the woman allowed her to go back and play.

The next day, their teachers gathered them in the parlor and told them that they need to prepare a song for a very important party. It was a charity ball, all of the patron of the orphanage will be there. As a sign of being thankful, they ought to prepare one presentation for every one. For two weeks, the children practiced their song and choreography. Louisa enjoyed it the most for the girl loves singing! Though not exactly given the skills to play instruments, Louisa has a voice that makes up for it.

The day came, and they were all dressed in a uniform of red and white. A bus came to the orphanage and took them to the venue of the party. All were shock when they saw the house for it was truly majestic. The front lawn was vast that they were sure that if the orphanage can be transferred, it could fit in there. The statues surrounding a giant marble water fountain was so lifelike. Kois were swimming in the shallow waters, while lilies float on it. A huge white tent was standing outside and people were already present when they arrived. People who were dressed in expensive clothing and donning some glittering jewelries while holding some champagne flute.

The party was a blast!  After their amazing performance, the children ate what they believed the most scrumptious meal they had in their entire life. When the grown ups started to take over the dance floor, the children went on their way to play.

Louisa felt uncomfortable for some reason, she was with the other kids and they were playing near a hedge maze where the huge water fountain was located. Instead of playing with the other kids, she went for a walk to the side of the house and had a little tour herself. The place was enormous! It is a Georgian style house that has five floors. Louisa estimated that it has hundred rooms in it but it was her seven year old self. Everything was big. The windows were draped with what she thought as a heavy expensive curtain. During her walk, most of the curtains were closed, aside for one.  From where she was standing, she could see bookshelves, a ceiling high bookshelf! Louisa liked reading, but the selection of books in Saint Claire's are not that plenty. She was busy staring at the window of what seems to be the library that she didn't took notice that she was being watched as well.

"Want to check the library?" Mrs. Clarissa Acher, The blonde lady who went to the orphanage prior to that party was standing elegantly behind her with a bright endearing smile on her face. She apologized for scaring the little girl but the little girl told her that she wasn't scared, she was just surprised. Mrs. Acher laughed heartily and explained as to why she was there, she thought that Louisa was lost so she followed. Louisa replied that she wasn't, she was just not in the mood for playing but she wanted to explore the place. She apologized to the lady of the house but Clarissa just smiled and offered the little girl again the library tour. Louisa shyly accepted her offer and Clarissa took her hand as she led her to the side entrance.

She already went inside a local library once, it was when one of the helpers borrowed a book and ask Louisa to accompany her in returning it. The first library that she ever been in was big but it was nothing compared to the Acher's library! What she saw in the window was just the corner, when she stepped inside the room she was greeted with shelves after shelves of book. There's even a ladder with wheels for them to reach the books on the top of the shelf. In the middle of a room there was a low mahogany table with a lamp. There's also a red couch by the side of the wall. The floor was covered with a red carpet and a chandelier was hanging by the ceiling. Most of the books from the shelf was hardbound, some were bounded by a leather. Clarissa smiled at her and told her that she can have a look, as long as she'll put it back where she got it. The little girl smiled for the first time to her. Like a flash of a genuine smile as she ran and started eyeing the books.

In the end she chose a copy of Grimm's fairytale. Clarissa was a little hesitant for Louisa to have it since it wasn't exactly a tale for kids. It was dark and doesn't exactly covered the typical happy ending moment. Clarissa told her that, she also said that she can watch the cartoon version of it, but Louisa was adamant. She said that it was fine with her. She said that she can handle it.

The velvet and leather cover of the book felt soft and big against her tiny hands. She started reading the book. The words were tough for a seven year old and Clarissa were more than happy to help. In the end they spent most of the time inside the library than in the party itself.

The next day, a rumor spread all through out the orphanage. The news was that the Acher's were actually planning on adopting a kid. And they all knew who the prospect was.

Jealousy sprang to all the children. Of course, who doesn't want to live in a place as big as a castle? Or have a life where you can have anything you want, servants at your disposal? Yes, they were jealous but they were happy for her too. They were happy except for one kid, Daisy. She was enraged and jealous at Louisa. She's the same age as her but her attitude was eating up her inside. She was a vindictive brat and a bully as well. Daisy was just nice when the Mother Superior was around or any grown ups, but if the coast is clear, her horns were as long as her beautiful blonde hair. Most of the kids hated her, they are scared of her too and it was Louisa who was defending the others from Daisy's tyrant rule. She was always competing with Louisa and the other girl just kept her mouth shut and leave Daisy alone if she can.

That moment, Daisy was boiling with anger. She wanted to be in Louisa's place, if the news were true. It was like a palace and Daisy wanted to be a princess! She wanted pretty dresses and awesome toys. She wanted someone who'll give her anything she desires. Daisy actually felt that she was too good for the orphanage. With her two posse,  Daisy started to formulate a plan.

One night, Mother Superior asked Louisa to go into her office and confirmed the news that she was the one the Acher's going to adopt. It was a happy night. Little did they know, Daisy and her two posse were by the door listening. The night was too slow for Louisa that time. She wanted the sun to rise in the east, she wanted to pack her things but stopped herself. She doesn't want to look so eager to leave the place. She's going to miss everyone and she doesn't need a sappy good bye. Plus, there are papers to file so she can't leave the place yet. It was the first time she wanted to be adopted by someone.

The next morning, despite of lacking sleep, Louisa was perky and cheerful. She ate her breakfast happily even though it was the same porridge and bread with cheese like what they always eat. The Acher's were coming in after lunch and the children were set out to play outside. Louisa was playing by the swing when Marie, one of Daisy's posse called her out and asked her to come with her. Louisa was unsuspecting and gladly followed her. They went into the basement and when Louisa asked Marie why were they are there, she told her that her toy got stuck in one of the secret cabinet. It wasn't exactly a secret cabinet, it was a dumbwaiter. Marie said that she was scared in going in there, for it was dark and a tight space, not to mention a little dangerous. Her voice said it too for it was quivering. Wanting to help a friend, Louisa gladly crawled inside but only to be pushed farther when she noticed that there was no toy. Daisy appeared on her back and shut the tiny door, before pulling the rope up, trapping Louisa in the middle of the wall. She tied the rope into a pole and lodge it on the side so that even when Louisa pulls it, the dumb waiter won't move. Daisy and her posse were laughing hard and told Louisa that they're gonna set her free once the Achers went home before they left poor Louisa trapped in the dark.

She pulled the rope with all her might but the tiny cabinet won't move. It was dark and she could feel the cobwebs behind her. She tried to calm herself and screamed for help but it was futile. No one goes in the basement. Even the staff barely goes there and they aren't using the dumbwaiter anymore. They were actually told not to play with it for it may collapse since it was a little old just like the orphanage itself. She was there for hours. Louisa wasn't exactly scared of the dark but she was starting to feel like the world is closing in. Her breathing became faster and faster as nervousness and anxiety started to take over. Louisa started pounding the door, banging it with all her might, screaming in the process but the air around her was starting to get thin. The little girl screamed and banged the door but stopped when she heard a creak, like woods were breaking. Her thoughts jumped immediately to the dumbwaiter. She was in the middle of the wall and a little high from the ground. If something happened to the dumbwaiter, Louisa will surely fall, she wasn't sure how high it will be but it she will definitely fall.

Louisa started crying and calming herself. She hugged her knees and closed her eyes while trying to focus on other things aside from her dilemma. In order to calm her thoughts, she started naming the colors of the rainbow in order. At first it was helping, she was starting to forget what was happening but anxiety was kicking in again and Louisa started screaming. It was no use. The air was thinner than before and next thing she knew is her eyes getting droopy and darkness took her in.

It was dinner time when the three went back for her. Alarmed when they saw what happened to Louisa they called some grown ups. Daisy formulated a lie saying that she saw Louisa earlier that day, trying to hide in the basement saying that she wasn't going to be adopted. That she doesn't want to be adopted because she hated the Achers. She said that she's not going to leave the basement, and Daisy stopped her but failed. Daisy wanted to tell the Mother Superior about what Louisa did but she was scared, she was scared that Louisa might pushed her again like what she was doing most of the time. Daisy spouted more lies with one thought. That she was the hero who saved a child's life.

Louisa woke up in her bed with the helper by her side. As soon as she opened her eyes. she didn't say anything. She just went up and hug her tight as she started crying again.

She didn't reported what Daisy and her posse did to her, but for a week Louisa slept with a flash light on her side and near the window.  She was a little aloof but soon she recovered. When the Acher's came, they were a little disappointed in not seeing Louisa, but they were charmed with Daisy so they took her instead. Daisy was ecstatic! A couple of children figured out what exactly happened but Louisa begged for them not tell. "If Daisy is happy," she said, "Let her be." A lot of kids were a little frustrated with her attitude towards what happened but they can't sway the girl. When Daisy left the orphanage, her two posse cried and apologized to Louisa. Being the nice and forgiving girl that she is, she accepted their apology.

The Achers (Daisy included) were now living in France. After a year, they visited the orphanage. A lot of kids were already adopted but Louisa chose to stay for some reason. Daisy broke down and apologized to her as soon as she saw Louisa. She apologized for everything that she did and guilt were eating her inside. Louisa accepted her apology with open heart and told her that it was okay. Daisy was finally happy and she just need to promise that she'll stop being mean.

The two parted ways as friends. Louisa managed to forgive everyone but sometimes in the night, she wakes up in cold sweat, still reliving the petrifying memory that she had.Up until now, she sleeps with a flashlight by the side of her pillow.

❧ THE LOST PRINCESS ❧

"Happiest experience?" Louisa perked up, I was actually finished listening in one of her amazing tales yet the girl was still non stop. Too excited and still giddy. "I still have one!"

"I asked you what's your happiest experience here, and you gave me like... I dunno, a few." I mumbled as I consult my tiny notebook that was filled with scribbles.

"I know, but this is the best one!" Louisa insisted. It was hard not to agree since she looked cute in her 'Princess
Anna' get up.

"Alright, this is the last one." I said, finality was in my tone. "If you tell another story apart from this, I'll put the one where you got stuck in a barrel near Peter Pan's flight"

"Of all those stories that I told you... I can't--"

"Louisa!"

" Sorry... Okay, okay here goes." Louisa smiled.
__________________________________________________________________________________
It was finally bright and sunny outside, Louisa can't finally believed it! She was now standing in front of the very gates of the esteemed theme park. One of the sponsors of their orphanage was generous enough to treat them an all day pass at Disneyland. She can't believe their luck for their day didn't start so good. It was actually raining hard, pouring even. With matching lightning that lights up the stormy gray clouds and thunder booms along with it. A weather that is no good if one is going to go to an outdoor place.

A lot of kids were starting to feel hopeless, sad and depressed for they were promised a day of fun and excitement, yet their day started out as a foreboding. "Stop it, Lou." One of the younger kids said, they were standing in front of a huge window by the parlor inside where everyone is waiting. "We'll probably go next time. WE can't go out with this kind of weather."

"It'll stop, I can feel it." Louisa said adamantly, her lips were spread into a wide inviting and hopeful smile just like always as she looked outside.

"What? So now you're the spawn of the god of the skies?" A young boy, no more than eight interjected, he was wearing a big round eye glasses, the frames were being held up by tapes for his glasses were hit a few times by some kids who was having fun in using him as a personal punching bag, and holding a thick book while sitting cross legged on the ground. "I thought you said you were the daughter of the god of the sea?"

"No, I am the daughter of the god of the sea!" One of the girls from the corner said. Another girl complained, and another and another.

Up until...

"No, I am!" A fat boy from the other side with a chipped front tooth and a bright red hair said proudly.

"Finally, Clint admits that he is, as a matter of fact, a female." The young boy with glasses said jadedly in the middle of the silence. Each and every one laugh at his comment until Clint, the fat boy pounded his fist on the table. "What did you say, Snotty Matty?! Do you wanna die today?!"

"I'm just merely repeating what you stated." he replied cooly. "An imbecile ape will say what." he added quietly while looking back at his book.

"What?!" Clint took the bait and everyone guffawed and that seemed to enrage the fat kid. "Stop it, all of you! After I count to three I want every one to be quiet! One... two..." Every one did what he ask, clearly most of the kids were afraid of his size.

"Why stop? Don't know what is next after two?" Matty obviously wasn't one of those kids. "I think Mary knows, do you need a three year old to teach you how to count, Clint?"

"You little..." Clint was about to ran towards Matty when Louisa finally intervened. "Clint, do you want to be on the bathroom duty again?" She chided. Her voice held authority and power for she was probably the oldest in the group. Clint shook his head lightly. "Okay then, now behave all of you." It took a minute before everything went back to order.

Louisa continued to stare outside and looked at the skies, while silently praying that the rain just would stop.

"Are we still going to Disneyland?" A little girl in pig tails suddenly tugged her dress. "Will I still see the princesses you told me about?" Her voice was low and a little shaky, like she was on the verge of tears.

"Of course, Penny." She looked down and carried her up in her arms. "We are, the rain is stopping, see?" Louisa said, a smile was etched on her face. The girl in her arms were the other reason why she wanted the trip to happen. The first reason was for everyone to have fun, and the other is it was Penny's last  day at the orphanage. She was being adopted, and the five year old girl was happy and scared at the same time. Louisa wanted to give her the reassurance and wanted their last day with her to be fun and magical as possible. "We are going." Louisa said again, hope was in her voice.

After a ten minutes the rain stopped and the bus arrived! Each and everyone of them cheered, including Clint, as they head straight towards their bus wearing the same boring grey uniform, dresses for the girls and white shirt with Grey shorts or pants for the guys.

"Let's go, let's go!" After the briefing of their Mother Superior, the kids were almost jumping up and down just to get their tour started. Everyone was happy, smiling and laughing as they saw characters that they usually see on their TV in person. Lunch break came, everyone was engrossed from the show in the pavilion. Everyone was happy and most importantly, Penny is having the time of her life. Louisa knew that Penny has a bright future ahead of her, being adopted and all, but Louisa wanted Penny to remember all the enjoyable things she did in the orphanage, that she had other family and she's not alone even if she's going to leave.

The disaster struck when one of the little kids asked Louisa to buy her a cotton candy. She left Penny with them but when she came back, the little girl was gone!! Chaperones and the Mother Superior were frantic as they looked everywhere for her. The tour stopped as they searched for her. Louisa went the other direction and walked for an hour or so, asking anyone, guards and the park personnel for their help. The park was huge and even with their help she knew it will took a little longer.

Exhausted, Louisa sat by the park bench when suddenly a lady suddenly approached her. "Are you her?" She had a bob cut black hair, hooked nose and wearing a black dress. She was standing a little taller than Louisa.

"Excuse me?" Louisa asked.

"I don't have time for stupid questions." The lady snapped at her, without saying anything else she took her by her arm and started dragging her. "Hurry up."

"Where are you taking me? Miss?" Louisa protested as she pulled away from her, but the effort was futile. The lady's hand was like a vise, gripping her arm tightly as they moved hastily. "I'm looking for a girl... where are you taking me, stop!"

"Yes, yes... I know the story." The lady said with nonchalance. "Everyone does..."

"What are you saying?!" Louisa protested but it was pointless for the lady was having non of it. The lady brought her to a building, the guards didn't ask for any identification, as if the lady is well known or they are just afraid to stop her, and dragged into a room.

"Where did you found her? And what is with the drabby clothes?" someone asked, it was another lady with blonde hair under a bonnet. She was holding what it seems like a make up brush. The room that they were in was a dressing room, filled with tables with large round mirrors, a rack filled with clothes, heads of a mannequin with different colored wig.

"Loitering around, I seriously don't know if they still have qualifications." The lady who dragged her sighed.

"What is happening?!" She finally managed to pull away from the scary lady. "I...I shouldn't be here... I'm looking for a girl, she's probably scared and alone. She's young and little..."

"Yes, jeez we know the story. But I think it's the older sister who ran away. Now now, sit here and be a dear. We don't have time." the other lady said, her tone was as if she doesn't care at all but it was far nicer than the lady who kidnapped her.

"W--What? I didn't ask for a make over! and besides, you must be doing this outside right?" Louisa asked again, she knew that there's a free Disney Princess makeover for anyone who wants it, she didn't know that it was a compulsory for everyone to have one. The lady pulled her and force her to sit on a chair. "There mu--"

"Listen, Sweetheart," the scary lady suddenly said as she looked down on Louisa, her eyes were scary, like the color of the storm clouds earlier that day. "I don't have time to explain everything. There's an angry mob of little girls who are waiting. If you don't keep your mouth shut, I swear..." she didn't finished what she said for Louisa nodded, scared out of her wits. She looked like a vulture and a librarian that was merge together.

The scary lady smiled at her tightly as she stepped out of the way. "All yours, Dellia." Dellia, the lady with a bonnet shook her head and smiled. "Don't mind Leticia, deary." she whispered at Louisa, "And besides, you can't go out like that. Now, let see what we can do? shall we?"

Dellia moved fast, next thing Louisa knows is that she is with make up and her hair was in braids. Dellia even put a white color on a little part of it. Too shock to talk, and still a little scared of Leticia, Louisa just stared at her reflection in awe. "Now, now deary. Go on, your dress is in there..."

"Wait...what?" Louisa asked and Leticia's head snapped in her direction, her eyes were glaring at her, it was as if the word "what" is a taboo for the scary lady. Obediently Louisa nodded  and went straight towards the partition.

"Isn't she lovely?" Dellia said, tears were welling up in her eyes upon seeing Louisa fully dressed as the youngest princess of Arendelle. "The dress looked so perfect! Aww..." Leticia didn't say anything and just gave Louisa a once over when she got out wearing the dress. "Let's go." Leticia said, ordering Louisa once more.

The girl was scared, surprised... her emotions are all mixed up and blended, she didn't know what she doing or where she was going but they were out of the building. She walked beside Leticia quietly, people were staring at her as they walked. Kids were waving at her, and for some reason Louisa waved back and flash them an awkward smile. Finally, they arrived in a corner where a girl dressed in blue sparkly dress and has a white hair, standing and waving at the young kids around her.

"Go, stand with her." Leticia ordered. Louisa thought that the makeover was finally done.

"Wha--" Louisa was about to say but Leticia was already glaring at her. She lightly pushed her and it was all she needed for the kids started to yell, "Anna! It's Anna!"

"Hey...." uncertain on what to do, she walked briskly beside the girl playing Elsa.

"What took you so long?" Elsa whispered.

"Look, the scary lady pulled me---" Louisa started when Elsa cut her off midsentence. "Yeah yeah, you can tell me later." she managed to whisper, though her face was lighting up with her beautiful smile.

Maybe she was that dense, or too shock, or a little caught up with a moment that it was too late for her to realize that they thought that she was the girl who was supposed to play Anna. Her heart was thumping fast, she needed to stop all the foolishness and needed to start looking for Penny again. Her friend was missing and there she was standing in the middle of the crowd, waving and playing with the little kids. Time was ticking.... "Hey, listen. I am not exactly.." she looked at Elsa with her worried expression when suddenly someone called her from the crowd.

"It is Louisa... it's Louisa!" It was her entire group milling with the crowd, the Mother Superior has Penny and the little girl is fighting tooth and nail just to get to the front line.

"Wow, are they all with you?" Elsa whispered at her, the smile on her face was never wavering, a feat Louisa doesn't know how on earth she can manage.

"Yes, they are my family." Anna waved at them excitedly, "They're from the or---"

"Later, later..."  Elsa cut her off again as she took a little girls hand.

The day ended happily. It was a whirlwind of an experience. Louisa didn't finished her shift as "Anna" and explained everything that happened to both parties. That Leticia had it wrong, that she was just in the wrong place... or rather in the right place and at the right time. The actual girl  who was supposed to play Anna got caught in the traffic and didn't actually made it. She was just lying her ass off saying that she was inside the park, and was lost so that they won't know that she haven't made it yet.

The kids were still talking about Louisa being a Disney princess! even the bully Clint and the badass Matty were in a truce and congratulating her.

Before they left off, Louisa excused herself from the group and went to talk to Leticia. Without thinking... Louisa went in for a hug. "Thank you. I never thought I would experience such a thing. Thank you so much." a nervous giggle escaped her lips when she realized that she was hugging the terror Leticia upon letting go.

"It doesn't have to be just a one time experience." She answered quietly. Again, there was a pause. Louisa was still digesting the offer.

Once the offer sink in, wide eyed, Louisa went in for a bear hug again. "Really? Oh my. Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Do this again and this will be the last time you're ever going to set foot in this park." Leticia said icily.

"Oh.." Louisa pulled away and let out a giggle, she was back on her grey drabby colored dress but it didn't matter on the girl. "Thank you, again."

Leticia looked at her coldly but a thin small smile was on her face. "Here,"  she handed Louisa her card. "Have a talk with the Mother Superior and let me know what she'll say."

Louisa nodded like there is no tomorrow, her heart was filled with delight, joy and happiness. "Yes, ma'am!"

At the very last explosion of the lights in the starry night sky, all the children from Saint Claire's Orphanage has a smile on their faces.
