This world has a lot of things that are beyond this in the later story line but since were confined at this point it will be a lot simpler.
There are 2 major nations and it appears after some Great War that still rages they’re almost the only nations on the planet left. Along with this 2 new species fill their ranks.
The first being the more uncreatively named Cat empire or CE as it is generally shorted as. This faction has a strange cat like people who have somewhat shorter lifespans and high birth rates this most likely helping in the proliferation of this state. Wether they are genetically engineered or not is beyond all recent knowledge as this war has captivated the world and has gone in for a long time. They are highly aristocratic with a human only elite that rules over the nation with a large religious force that holds this all together by threds that states their emperor is in fact THE;”God emperor of Mankind and cats.” They are highly religious conservative and entirely opposed to the HDA who clearly are a bunch of horrid barbarians. They have the best economy at the moment... but this doesn’t really matter when there are only 2 nations in the world that really matter after all.
From there we go onto the HDA or Hidden Dog Army. Though just about every record of history has been erased this faction must have been seeking to be less overt as the Cat Empire. This faction is mainly consisting of a dog-humanoid tank and file like the other faction seemingly unknown of their origin but it is believed to be the reason for their explosive growth as due to their mass number and as you’ll soon learn they may have gotten a lot of support from past nations. The HDA is a communistic nation of which is monolithic in it’s administration but even then they don’t seem to be able to hold the central planning together for the new biggest nation in the world and most likely ever. This nation is both ideologically opposed to and just generally against the CE and all it stands for as they rage an endless war that neither seems to be ever winning in an endless grinder of bullets and bodies. This faction is forward thinking and a bit more tolerant unlike those monsters who are stuck in the past the CE!
we also have the federation of independent nations a large alliance of small nations nations that scales from independent South America (Argentina and Brazil) The African federation. (Along with the new Boer state of which no one likes.) and the Australian-newzeeland co-operative a nation somewhat untouched from the war but still likely isn’t doing well.
The last nation we need to mention here is of course the New Fascist Union of Britain who are quite out of their minds. They have become exstremely isolationist and xenophobic as one can expect after all that has happened. They also actually are one of the few nations who actively seek to combat the 2 major powers. Attacking and “liberating the world’s isles of filth.”
From this we go onto our summary the world has met some Great War/calamity you have not real idea why this has all happened but you may choose to venture out and find the truth. Or if you wish you may albeit slowly work to try and fight against this new force. What I’m trying to say here is it’s your choice if you want to be some sort of minor noble living out your days in exstreme depravity and excess or if you’d like to be a peasant barely scraping by. The idea really is that you’re exploring this world we have created not just knowing everything from the start. Do care to remember that xenophobia is highly prolific. So if you were a dog and or cat humanoid and you wondered into the New Fascist Union of Britain... let’s just say you won’t last long without being quite good at sneaking around. It’s also quite oppressing and you probably won’t be a peasant who magically gets to become the leader of a exstremely massive rebellion hidden under the wood works of the world. You have to work for these things and it’s quite hard to work together to rebel when everything is always watching for a hint of deceit.
