The dream guardianS
in a land of dreams, do you still believe? Crescenta, goddess of dreams
for as long as sleep remained, Crescenta sprinkles her magic to fill the inhabitants of the land of the awake (earth) with sweet dreams. but if she didn't tend to them, black beings called night beast would roam free and taint the mind with fear and despair. thankfully, in times such as this, certain beings with the power to enter the dream world with mystical magical powers could combat this. these individuals were called....
the dream guardians
☾the world of dreams☾the world of dreams is one of the many places to be during the rp and the one you spend the most time in. within this realm is various locations scattered on floating chunks of land called isles. they each store their own rules (or lack of), customs, and things done on their humble isle. since this is the land of dreams, you're is at it strongest here. under the collection of isles is the abyss, a place where hopes and dream plummet and die. it's where people's darkest fears manifest themselves as monsters. it's rulers roam this domain, preying on unsuspecting denizens and turning them into night-beast.
above the abyss and the isles is the kingdom of lunar, where the goddess of dreams, Crescenta, watches over her kingdom with a gentle glove. it sits on a cloud, covered in the finest crystals. the inhabitants of the world of dreams come there to ask away their problems and have the most care free of parties.
☁ the world of the awake☁in complete contrast, the world of the awake is a place where imagination rarely runs wild and it's citizen seem to do things in an orderly fashion. although this place has proven that it can be unpredictable, it's few and far between at times. its laws are very restrictive. it relies on its world's physics to keep it running. compare that to the world dreams, where such a thing either varies or is just nonexistent.
furthermore, those from the world of dreams can enter this plane of existence, but can only be seen by those who are dream guardians or children. Unfortunately, this also opens the opportunity for the night beast to enter this plane as well. however, since they too are invisible, they mostly go unnoticed. this does not mean they have no effect on this world. their deeds have adverse effects that can take the forms of things as small as bad luck to full on natural disasters.
Dreamalsupon becoming a dream guardian, their subconscious creates a being known as a Dreamal. these beings allow the guardian to channel their magic and if they wish, combine as one to become the much more powerful guardian form.
close inspection suggests that these creatures can come in many forms, changes, and sizes, but one thing remains the same, their gem. it's the key to the process of fusion between the guardian and the Dreamal. if it was ever under low power or energy, the dream guardian won't be able to transform or harness the full potential of their power.
night-beastthey are the ones that go bump in the night. they are the ones who slink through the shadows. they are the ones who swim under the abyss, waiting to drag anything down to the depths of despair. they're the nightmares. they are...night beast.
- dream guardians can fulfill numerous roles. each role has their fair share of weaknesses and strengths but they have one thing in common, having a dream companion called a Dreamal. these creatures can combine with their dream guardian to become their guardian mode.

the mechanics of dream guardians is simple. as a GM (game master), I'll be the one who creates the events (with your input) as well as the events occurring. ( use this: https://www.random.org/dice/?num=2 and use 2 dies, then type it in your indicator)
- the game is based on using dice which determines the outcome of fights and usually fights only. if you wish to conjure up a spell, roll the die. if it's higher than 6, you'll have a likely chance of summoning it. the same goes for melee moves as well.
- beast encounters are also determined by the die if it hits 12,11, or 10, a night beast will appear. this will usually happen upon ending you post, where you'll roll you die. in combat, after you kill a night beast, whom can get knock out by few well-aimed attacks, you'll get an item from them. the items are random. so, from 2-6, you'll get a normal item. from 7-10, you get uncommon items, and lastly, from 11 to 12, more rare ones.
- if the die was to land on something lower than 6, you might get into an accident, especially when dealing with hazards.
name
health
mana
creativity
status: healthy
objectives:
I have to do this at some point.I finished this at some point.I failed this at some point.
location: the world of dreams
the first thing you'll see is the portrait, where you're character's look is displayed. it will change upon becoming your guardian mode. under it is your name. below that is the health you currently have, it will go down if an enemy hits you, or because of a hazard. when it goes down, you're dead. upon death, you'll come to the fountain of dreams, where Crescenta will ask you if you want to return to the dream word, with the cost of your imagination. your mana is the amount of energy you have to conjure a spell or attack. creativity is a number of abilities you have available. if you're low on creativity, you'll have a much smaller pool of magic.
your status indicates how you're feeling. say you were affected by poison. your health would decrease over time as well as show up as the status: poisoned.
the objectives are quests you're given by NPCs in the game world. they're somewhat easier with some being a bit harder than others.
last but not least, the location, this is where your character is located at the time.
note: you're dreamal also has the same stats as you. so just keep that in mind.
more will be added
cresenta

sunny boo
